Chapter 6 Noble Sport

Spotting Dominik about to leave, Olivia promptly intercepted him.

"Hey, what's going on? Ruby brought you out for a good time, and you're thinking of leaving without a word?" Olivia exclaimed.

"I suppose seeing Kristian's fencing techniques made him feel embarrassed," Miguel, who had just been defeated, chuckled.

Turning to Ruby, he added, "Fencing is primarily for the upper class. Dominik is just a small-town guy; he probably can't handle it. So, it makes sense for him to want to take his leave."

With a stern expression, Ruby retorted, "Dominik, don't be an ingrate. I brought you out for some fun, and now you want to leave. How do you think my dad will react when I inform him about this?"

Kristian adjusted his protective gear and remarked casually, "Let it be, Ruby. He's not in the same league. Fencing isn't his thing. Let him go play basketball outside."

Dominik shook his head and said casually, "I'm not into these fancy sports. A weapon is for killing, not for play."

Miguel burst out laughing. "What right does a bumpkin like you have to talk about fencing? You probably just don't know any techniques, so you're spouting gibberish here. If you think you have the ability, don't slip away like guilty. Go spar with Kristian!"

Kristian shook his head. "Don't pressure him. I'm concerned I might hurt him."

Realizing he needed to take action, Dominik knew these guys wouldn't let him off easily. If this issue reached Aydan's ears, he would be put in a difficult position.

Frowning, he conceded, "Fine, let me give it a shot. I'll take it easy on you."

"Ha-ha, this is amusing! Can you fence? Talk is cheap, you know!" Olivia was the first to burst into laughter.

Kristian squinted his eyes and said indifferently, "Since you would like to try, I'm in."

Dominik aimed to quickly resolve the situation and leave to avoid any further encounters with Sylvia. He casually grabbed a foil.

"Put on protective gear; I don't want to cause you harm," Kristian said sternly.

"No need, let's get this over and done with," Dominik replied, assessing the foil in his hand and shaking his head.

Kristian was annoyed by his words. "Fine, let's get started!"

He took a step forward, with the foil pointed at Dominik. He inhaled deeply and steadied the foil while emitting a formidable presence.

Dominik stood casually with his foil drooping toward the ground. He appeared entirely inexperienced.

"Check out how he stands and handles the foil. He's clearly a total novice. He's wearing no protective gear either. I worry Kristian might poke his eyes out in one swift stroke!" Miguel sneered.

Ruby, watching this scene, couldn't help but be hesitant.

Sensing Ruby's hesitation, Olivia intervened, "Ruby, now is not the time to be lenient. We need to show this guy the difference between us. Otherwise, he'll keep bothering you and resist divorcing, which would impact your life. Kristian knows what he's doing. He won't harm him much. Don't get all worried."

Persuaded by Olivia, Ruby gave a slight nod.

"Begin!"

Following the command, Kristian advanced, directing his foil at Dominik's upper body!

Miguel praised, "See Kristian's strike. Decisive, straightforward, with no unnecessary flair. It could match real professionals already!"

Kristian's attack was quick, executed with precision and simplicity, and had no unnecessary moves. Even a seasoned athlete might struggle to achieve such perfection.

Dominik maintained his relaxed posture, unwavering even as the foil approached, but just in time, he gracefully evaded the impending strike.

"This guy will surely regret not wearing protective gear..." A glint of amusement flashed in Miguel's eyes.

Before Miguel could finish what he was saying, Dominik deftly countered Kristian's foil in a swift motion, then effortlessly brought the foil down.

"Ah!"

A sharp cry escaped Kristian as he grappled with the aftermath of this seemingly simple yet impactful move. His wrist throbbed with pain, and his foil went airborne.

A collective gasp filled the air as onlookers exchanged incredulous glances.

Kristian, a nationally ranked amateur, found himself defeated by Dominik, a seemingly unassuming figure.

Nonchalantly, Dominik declared, "If that's all, I'll be on my way. Spare me the summons for such mundane affairs next time." With that, he casually tossed the foil aside and strolled away.

Olivia exclaimed, "This is unreal, utterly impossible! You must have resorted to some trick to beat Kristian."

Miguel, regaining his composure also insisted, "That's the only explanation. You need to stay and apologize to Kristian."

"Childish displays!"

Dismissing them with a cold snort, Dominik paid no attention to them and just walked away.

Kristian winced, nursing his wrist. Had he not worn protective gear, that strike might have pierced through.

Meanwhile, Sylvia's eyes scanned the scene, locking onto Dominik's retreating figure and Ruby.

Setting down her finely crafted bow and arrows, Sylvia casually approached.

Lorenzo couldn't help but be astonished. He wondered if he had offended this female warrior. Why was she leaving without a word? Hastily, he caught up with her.

Seeing Dominik leaving the club, he mused, "Huh... Why does he bear a resemblance to Mr. Gilbert?"

"Look, General Hewitt is heading our way!"

As Sylvia approached with deliberate steps, a hushed awe settled over everyone, freezing them like statues. And their bodies involuntarily quivered.

Sylvia wasn't just a beauty; her courage was unmatched. She was a true heroine who had accomplished feats even men couldn't.

Since her debut, any accolade for women could aptly describe her.

There wasn't a man who didn't admire a woman like Sylvia.

Likewise, there wasn't a woman who didn't aspire to be like Sylvia!

Even the earlier arrogant Kristian and Olivia found themselves involuntarily humbled in this moment.

As Sylvia's footsteps approached, it seemed like everyone's heartbeats synchronized with her strides.

The aura emanating from this woman was truly remarkable!
