Chapter 5 Clash

Dominik politely turned down Aydan's offer to stay the night and made his way back to the Skytop Villa Area.

As the car halted, Dominik furrowed his brow and calmly ordered, "Step out!"

Several figures promptly surrounded him, each exuding a chilling presence akin to wild beasts.

"You seem tied to Sylvia in some way. Will you yield now, or must we resort to breaking your limbs before taking you?" a man with a menacing demeanor coldly questioned.

At the mention of Sylvia, Dominik felt irritation bubbling within him. He shook his head and remarked, "I have no association with her. It's wise not to provoke me."

"Hahaha! A mere prison guard daring to be defiant before us! We are the four kings under Dreadlord's command!" The man laughed heartily and advanced toward Dominik with an ominous air.

A large hand extended, sliced through the air with a faint whooshing sound, and aimed for Dominik's throat.

Dominik dismissed them with a sneer. Anyone from his prison could easily handle these self-proclaimed kings.

Without bothering to glance at the man's astonished expression, Dominik deflected the blow. He raised his hand, and with a series of thuds, the four strong killers crumpled to the ground like dead flies.

"Annoying lots!" Dominik shook his head and threw the bodies down the cliff one after the other.

Shortly after, Sylvia traced the scent of blood to the cliff's base and discovered four mangled corpses.

"Dreadlord's four kings have met their end here. These troublemakers have been a thorn for our military, and we couldn't apprehend them," Sylvia exclaimed in shock, surveying the lifeless forms.

She could discern that the four had just been killed and then discarded into the wilderness.

"Who could have easily killed these four? The blood is still warm, yet there are no signs of a struggle," Sylvia pondered and her gaze turned serious.

It seemed someone with formidable strength, possibly surpassing hers, was responsible.

She grabbed her phone, looked up to the pinnacle of Skytop Hill, and instructed, "Identify the resident of Skytop Mansion and send someone to clean up this scene."

Early the following morning, Aydan called Dominik.

"Dominik, your marriage with Ruby is progressing rapidly. Relationships require time. Today, she has arranged a meet-up with friends at a sports club. She wants you to join. Give me your address so she can pick you up!" Aydan said with a chuckle.

"Alright," Dominik replied with a wry smile, unable to decline Aydan's well-intentioned offer.

Shortly after, Olivia came with Ruby to pick up Dominik.

Olivia cast him a disdainful look when she saw him. He was a mere prison guard with an ordinary face. Despite his good physique, he lacked power and influence. How could he befit Ruby, the cherished daughter of the Harper family?

"This is my best friend, Olivia Sutton." Ruby, seated in the front passenger seat, introduced coldly.

Dominik stretched out his hand and greeted Olivia. "Hello!"

However, Olivia paid him no attention and urged, "Quit lingering. Hop in the car quickly. Kristian and the others are waiting!"

Olivia drove fast, and they soon arrived at the Apex Club.

"Ha-ha, Ruby, Olivia, you're finally here!" Several young men welcomed them, led by Kristian, the Warren family's young man and one of Ruby's admirers.

Noticing another man in the car, Kristian's demeanor turned cold. "Who's this?"

"A country bumpkin," Olivia responded, nodding toward Kristian with a smirk.

A cold glint appeared in Kristian's eyes as he assessed Dominik, who appeared ordinary in outfit and demeanor, and lacked any standout qualities.

How could such a person dare to pursue Ruby?

"My best friend is always like this. Don't take it to heart," Ruby calmly assured Dominik.

Dominik glanced at her casually, opting for silence.

"Since you're here, let's be friends and have some fun," Kristian said casually, not taking Dominik seriously. In his view, this ordinary-looking commoner was as insignificant as an ant.

Turning to Ruby, Kristian smiled. "Ruby, you've always wanted to try fencing, right? I recently got third place at the National Fencing Contest. Today is the perfect chance for me to teach you. And, as for the twenty million owed by Umbra Alliance, I'm working on getting it back. I expect their response in the next few days. You should be confident in my ability. Despite Umbra Alliance's influence, they won't deny me," Kristian assured.

Ruby expressed gratitude with a nod and a hint of joy in her eyes. "Thank you, Kristian!"

Once they were inside the club, Kristian organized for another fencing fan to practice with him.

"Goodness! Who is that? General Hewitt?" "Oh my, that does look like Sylvia. I never thought I'd run into her here."

"Who is she practicing archery with? Looks like Lorenzo Stewart, the president of Umbra Alliance?"

"Wow, Sylvia is truly my idol. She's good in everything. Look! She hit the bull's-eye!"

Sylvia, clad in sportswear, radiated a heroic presence as she expertly drew her bow. Four consecutive arrows hit the bull's-eye with precision.

Dominik felt an overwhelming urge to cuss. It seemed like fate conspired to make their paths cross wherever he went.

Upon closer inspection, a smile played on his lips. Wasn't that Lorenzo, aka Mudskipper?

Lorenzo was quite arrogant when he first arrived in prison. He expressed disdain for the food and caused a ruckus in the cafeteria. Due to his conduct, Dominik had him suspended from a utility pole for three days and nights.

Lorenzo, who used to be proud, had now assumed the moniker Mudskipper.

"I never imagined I'd witness Sylvia's prowess in person. She's the emerging war goddess in Sruburgh. If only I could get married to such a woman..."

"Don't daydream. The Hewitt family is wealthy in Frutshire, and General Hewitt is a heroine. Who could be good enough for such an excellent woman?"

However, everyone's attention was quickly captured. Kristian grabbed a sword, cleared his throat, and initiated a duel with the affluent young man before him.

Kristian did have some skills. This was evident in his third-place victory. His opponent was clearly outmatched. After a brief exchange, Kristian disarmed the young man, who conceded defeat.

"Good job, Kristian! Just five moves, and you've disarmed Miguel!" Ruby exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

Kristian's moves were elegant and agile, showcasing graceful swordsmanship that captivated the hearts of many girls watching.

Frowning, Dominik readied himself to take his leave. He preferred to avoid any engagements with Sylvia.

While the four troublemakers from yesterday were nothing, he disliked stirring up unwarranted problems.
