Chapter 5 Damian World In Chaos

Damian glared dagger at Laura who is smiling like a fox , he felt like struggling her but he can't do that here .

" What do you want , name your price "Damian said and Laura shrugged .

"You're something else Mr Freeman but anyways my price isn't money because right now I have your billions cooling in my secret account "she said with a low giggle , Damian clenched his fist .

"You don't remember me do you , oh I see hahaha "

"And who are you and why should I remember your freaking face, " he spat .

" Remember yesterday your car almost hit me but good thing I survived and you refused to apologise" she said and Damian carefully scanned her face.

" Oh so this is your way of getting back at me huh " he asked and she nodded .

"Yep this is my way of getting back at you and that's not all " she said .

" Okay what the hell do you want from me , if It's because of yesterday then I am sorry "he said .

"Too late anyways am going to return your money back to you only if you agree to play my game "

" Simple I want us to get married "she said and Damian's mouth fell open .

"Ma'am here's your order " the waitress from earlier said and placed a plate of spaghetti, Laura giggled and sniffed the spaghetti aroma .

"Sweet , there's no thing as good as a beautiful pleasant aroma of spaghetti"she said and started eating, ignoring the fact that Damian was glaring at her , the waitress walked away .

" Look here lady, I do what you want , I am betrothed to someone else and we are planning our wedding soon, " he said, trying to reason with her .

" Look Mr Freeman let me make things easy for you "she said and brought out 2 papers and she handed it over to him .

"What's this "he asked quizzically.

" That's our agreement document or should I say contract documents"she said and Damian took a quick glance through the papers .

" To make things easy we will be married for 3 years and after that I go my way and you go your way , as simple as ABC"

"Like seriously what will you gain from getting married to me " he asks and Laura shrugs .

" Fame , respect, money and power . "She said

"So that's all you care about huh , you have over 17 billion dollars under your control why don't you use it to achieve all of those things "he asked .

" Well that will be boring , I want some action and getting married to you will be fun . Read the document and sign them "she said , Damian had no choice but to read the document and after that he signed all necessary space .

"Good I will send this to my lawyer and just in case you try to breach our contract I promise you , you will lose everything"

"You're evil, " he spat .

"I know baby and am sure that's why you love me , so now let's make our relationship official " she said

"I have already outlined everything to make our wedding marvellous and easy , first you will propose to me in 3 days time and after that we will get married 3 days later ."

" Don't worry baby everything will be easy but first lets make this official "she said and rose up , and leaned over the table close to him .

"What a-are you doing "he stuttered as she leaned close to him , Damian leaned back on his chair . She grabbed his collar and pulled him closer and she pressed her lips on his , Damian eyes bulging out in shock as she kissed him .

"Okay see you later baby , bills on you "she waves and walks out laughing . Damian sat frozen, unable to say a word , his brain trying to work out what just happened .

Red crowns is a popular movie production company that has been operating for years and they have had successful popular big hit movies and series, Caroline is an employee in this company . She's one of the most successful actresses the company has and she has been cast on so many tv shows as female leads and backup characters.

Caroline was busy at the photoshoot studio taking cover photos of their new movie along with Ethan the lead of the video , after numerous photos switching from one posture to another the photo shoot came to an end .

"Let's take 20 " the director said and Caroline huffed and walked down from the platform.

" Debbie got me a glass of water " Caroline said to her manager who rushed out to get the water while Caroline satdown .

" Hey bitch " a tall brunette girl said with a smile and Caroline scoffed .

" What do you want, Esther? " Caroline said. Esther is also an actress like her but the difference between them is the fact that Caroline gets more fame and is more influential than Esther .

" I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement with Damian Freeman " Esther said smiling but deep down she hated Caroline because they are rivals.

" Oh thank you that's so sweet of you "Caroline said, taking a smile and Esther scoffed.

" Awe I wanted how it feels to be engaged to a playboy prince , I mean I am sure it's hard to keep him all to yourself" Esther said and Caroline scoffed .

" What do you mean , are indirectly calling Damian a cheat "she asks glaring at Esther who shrugs innocently.

" No, I am not just stating the obvious, oh wait you haven't seen the recent big blast in the internet right . Haha let me show you " Esther said and unlocked her phone and did a quick tap on her phone screen and she showed Caroline a photo of Damian kissing a lady .

"What's this , is this a joke or something" she asked and grabbed the phone from Esther , she took a deep look at the photo to make sure she's not seeing things . It was Damian kissing a lady in public after proposing to her last night .

"No not-that can't be "Caroline gasp , Esther quickly snatched her phone and laughed mockingly at Caroline .

" Awe sorry baby girl I feel your pain " Esther laughs and walks away .

"Ma'am here your water " Debbie said , Caroline grabbed the glass cup and smashed it on the ground and the shattered sound got the attention of everyone .

"Ahhhh , I am going to kill him "she yells and stomps out ignoring the whispers coming from all around .

As soon as Caroline got outside the company building she was crowded by journalists who are here to get reports .

"Mrs Caroline what do you have to say about your fiance actions "

" He proposed to you last night and today he is kissing another lady "

"Ma'am are you sure your engagement with Mr Freeman wasn't made up " they bombarded her with questions and the flash of camera lights were all on her .

Debbie came to the rescue with guards who helped to clear the journalist out of Caroline's way for her to walk into her car .

The moment Damian walked into his company Mr Larry rushed to him looking very worried .

"Sir there's a big problem " he said and showed Damian the photo of him kissing Laura .

" Shit "Damian grumbled .

" The board members are holding an urgent meeting regarding this photo because it has gone viral and they fear it might affect the company," Mr Larry said .

" Where are they "

"At the meeting hall " Mr Larry said Damian rushed towards the hall .

As soon as Damian walked in the 12 members of the board rose up to acknowledge him .

"Good morning Mr Freeman "they all greeted , he ignored them and sat down majestically.

" Mr Freeman there's a scandal flying around about you kissing a lady after proposing to Mrs Caroline Smith a few hours ago , this action is going to affect the company name " one of the board members said .

" To make matters worse Mrs Caroline is a public figure and what you did is now turning a glaring eye towards you , our sponsors are questioning your moral life and .."

"And how dare anyone question my moral life, '' Damian said with authority as he glared at the old men and women sitting in front of him .

" Sir this might..."

"You all have no right to tell me what and what not to do with my life "he snap

"With all due respect Mr Damian we have been board members of this company right from your father's reign and we have held and kept the balance of this company and kept the company name clean . What you did today is causing an irritating glare and comments about this company and about yourself.

Your moral life is now being questioned and if we speak to you 3 of our clients just withdrew their contract with us , we might face more of this if we don't find a solution to this " Mr Alfred said , after Damian and uncle Lucas Mr Alfred is the 3rd largest shareholder of the company.

Damian bites his lower lips and sighs in defeat .

" Larry prepared a press conference, I need to address this ..."

"Damian ... Where the hell is that bloody bastard " Caroline roared as she flung the door open .

"Ma'am please you're not allowed to go in there " a security guard said trying to stop her but it's too late because she was inside , the board members turned their attention to her .

"You , what's the meaning of this? Who is that lady you were kissing , so she's the reason you refuse to come back home yesterday"Caroline yells .

"Shut up , just shut up . You better start explaining yourself else am going to murder you " she threatened while glaring dagger at him .

" Guards please lead Mrs Caroline out "

"Ahhh fuck this , and what are you all waiting for get out. You all should leave " Damian yells at the board members and they all rush out .

"That freaking bitch , she's the reason for all this mayhem . Ahhh I feel like strangling her " he gritted his teeth furiously.

Meanwhile Laura sat at the rooftop of the skyscraper with a lollipop in her mouth as she read the most trending news in Canada .
