Chapter 5: My Mate

To be visited by Alpha Logan was no joke, so they would never toy with this opportunity.

During this period, Emily focused on taking better care of herself. No matter how she tried to look clean, the fact that she would still put on the maid's uniform worried her.

Deep down within her, she knew this was not her destiny.

"Gia, what do I do to keep you happy during this period?" she asked Gia after being summoned by her.

"I don't need you to be happy. Just do your job and ensure our guest will be smiling in satisfaction when he arrives here, even if you have you trade yourself for it," she said, pissed as she walked out.

Emily didn't know how to respond as she wondered where she had gone wrong.

Soon, Emily got to work as she cleaned every area of the mansion.

The next day was her birthday. She was willing to do anything to please everyone so she could have a peaceful birthday the next, but how successful would that be?

Later that night, she was done with everything for the day, so she made her way to her room, had a cool bath and lay on her bed when she had a knock on the door.

Emily's thoughts became a mess as she wondered who was outside her room door.

She walked round her whole room, wondering if she should open the door. After some time, she concluded and opened the door.

"What took you so long to open my door?" Alpha Ralph's voice sounded a bit harsh.

"I am sorry, Alpha Ralph. I had no idea it was you."

"You had no idea it was me." Alpha Ralph said, walking close with one hand in his pocket.

"Yes, Alpha!" Emily replied with respect.

"In that case, I forgive you." he then said.

Emily froze.

Forgive? Was that in his dictionary?

Alpha Ralph held her left arm tight as he leaned in for a kiss.

Emily was brilliant, so she quickly dodged it.

Alpha Ralph froze.

He never believed Emily would refuse his tender kiss.

Ever since he started seeing Emily as a woman, he had always wished to have his way with her, but for some reason, she didn't like him. This was something he was sure that every shewolf out there would desire.

Alpha Logan would be present tomorrow, so he would have to keep his pride intact, or he would have pulled down this mansion due to anger.

Bringing out a devilish smile, he walked out of the room silently.

He would have to deal with her after tomorrow's meeting with Alpha Logan.

Emily was shocked at how calm he was. She was already prepared for the usual slaps and abuse. She then breathed in and out.

She knew what could eventually happen to her after tomorrow's meeting.

Closing her door, she went to bed and lay quietly, feeling more worried than ever.

Outside of Emily's room stood no other than Gia. Her mind was in a total mess as to why Ralph left Emily's room with throwing tantrums like he always did.

Did something happen? She thought, overly worried.

Hot tears tickled down her face as her heart grew bitter, knowing fully well that she couldn't throw any tantrum until the end of tomorrow's meeting.

She then ran into her room and locked herself up to cry. When she entered her room, she thought about crying and displaying signs of defeat. Sitting up, she opened her room door and went out as she made her way to Alpha Ralph's room.

"I don't need you here, Gia. Not tonight." Alpha Ralph was losing his cool already.

The one he wants doesn't want him. The ones he does not want are throwing themselves at him for free.

"You don't want me? Is it because of her? I will kill her." Asked almost at the point of tears.

"I already gave you the liberty to do all you wanted with her. She's not just an ordinary girl like you always say. Be careful not to place a lasting wound on her." Alpha Ralph warned Gia, pushed her to the white wall, and lay on his wide bed.

"I still don't see anything special about her." Gia spat and walked away, exhausted by how Alpha Ralph talked about her.

All she knew was that once Alpha Logan left tomorrow, she would leave a lasting injury on Emily.

Emily had long gone to bed after pleading with the moon goddess to surprise her on her birthday.

Emily knew that her greatest surprise could only come from the moon goddess.

The next day, Emily woke up with the brightest smile ever. She had never been so happy, at least not that way.

Breathing in the fresh air, "Happy eighteenth birthday to me, Emily." she whispered as she gazed outside the window.

Her joy knew no bounds as she stood and looked at herself in the mirror.

"I look so good. I bless you, moon goddess," she said quietly and pulled off her dress with a smile as she walked into her bathroom to freshen up.

After finishing, she tied a white towel around her chest and exited the bathroom.

On entering her room, she watched multiple stars around her several times and then made their way to the table close to her window as it formed a clean, clear and beautiful werewolf.

Emily got lost at some point, thinking she was seeing double, but this was real.

Jumping around in excitement, she went closer.

The light pink eyes sparkled with beauty as they complemented its white and fury body. Emily couldn't come out of her surprise. This was the best and only thing she had ever prayed to the moon goddess for. Her Wolf! Finally, she had her wolf. Her wolf was so beautiful and looked so energetic.
