Chapter 3: Incident

Fear gripped Emily so hard that she couldn't even speak up.

"Talk to me. How dare you put my Gia in this condition?" he yelled at her.

"Alpha Ralph, she was trying to harm me. It just so happens that it backfired..."

PAK! PAK!!

Alpha Ralph raised his hands and slapped her twice, which sent her flying onto her bed in pain.

"I don't blame you anyway. I believe you did that out of jealousy, but no matter how you try to look like her, you won't succeed because she is ten times better than you could ever imagine yourself. You are nothing but a Packlessorphan. I will make you pay." he then said and walked out.

Emily nursed her pains for a few minutes and decided to take heart.

"I did not cause this. I am innocent." she managed to say and sat down to concentrate on her wellbeing.

Emily got to her room door and had it locked. She then returned to her bed and gazed out the window as usual.

The following day, what greeted Emily's sight when she opened the door was the sight of Gia.

"Errm, good morning, Gia."

"It's a good morning, Luna Gia. Emily shows some respect."

"You are yet to be the Luna of this Pack," Emily answered.

"You think so? In that case, I must show who I truly am in this Pack." Gia said as she clapped her hands.

Three guards came out from their hiding and headed toward Emily.

Emily moved back in shock as she wondered what Gia wanted to do with her.

"What have I done? Let me be. Could you leave me alone? What do you want from me? I have done nothing wrong to you, so let me be." Emily pleaded as she got taken away.

Later, in Alpha Ralph's main bedroom.

"Why did you have Emily locked up in a room? Don't you think you are overdoing this? I think you are overdoing it." Alpha Ralph said as he questioned Gia. He was okay with making things complicated, but he was not okay with having her locked up. There was no way he could try to have his way with her again, and he was unhappy about it.

This alone made Gia extra worried about her relationship.

"Ralph, are you worried about Emily, or are you worried about my head injury and me taking my revenge on her?" she asked.

"I never asked you to go attacking her. Gia, you practically did this to yourself." Alpha Ralph replied, unaffected.

Sobbing, "Ralph, what did you see in her? Why do you care more about her than you do for me? This was never your promise to me. I am so disappointed."

"Do not act like you are so important to me. You know the reason I accepted you." Alpha Ralph concluded and walked out.

Gia could not believe her eyes. Was he still having those thoughts? No way!

Gia then ran after him.

"Ralph, I am willing to do everything to make us work if you can give me the chance to."

"To make us work, just do the only things you were asked to do and keep your bitterness away from Emily."

"How can you tell me that? You, of all people, know how I feel about her. She is the reason I am in this condition, so it's only proper that I make her pay." Gia said.

"Alpha Logan may be visiting on his birthday. You know he visits one Pack on his birthdays. It's our turn to get visited. How would we provide him the right service if you keep her locked in there?"

"That is not an issue, dear. I will bail her a day before that to get her ready. It will be her birthday, too, according to what I heard. So, letting her walk freely on that day to serve their guests would be like a gift for her. Until then, I prefer she remains locked to learn her lessons." Gia then said with a slight smile.

Like that, Emily was to remain in the cell until Alpha Logan was to make an appearance.

Crescent Moon Pack

On the expansive and luxurious-looking terrace stood Alpha Luke and his son, Alpha Logan, as they discussed. The environment was tense because Alpha Luke was frustrated at his son Logan.

"For goodness sake, these are strong and amazing beautiful she-wolves. What else do you need?" Alpha Luke asked Logan.

"Father, they are indeed beautiful and amazing, but I don't find any attractive enough to be my Luna."

"You can't be kidding me, Logan."

"Father, I have spec. I promise you that when I see my spec, you won't need to tell me to make her mine."

"Anyways, I organised a date between you and the Alpha Shewolf of Duke Pack. What do you think?"

"I will honour it if it's your wish, Father."

"It's my wish, dear son. I am happy you agreed to do this with me." Alpha Luke looked at his son, patted him on his back and left him alone.

Alpha Logan sat inside his room as he thought about everything his father had told him.

No one seemed to understand him, and that's the primary reason she always felt incomplete indoors. He needed a real woman by his side but couldn't seem to be able to find one for himself. Every wolf that came his way always ended up being so unattractive to him.

He didn't know what to do about the issue again, but he hoped that the date his father had planned himself should end in his favour.

His birthday was coming closer. He needed a mate.

Soon, evening came, and it was almost time for the date. Picking up his phone, he dialled a number.
