Chapter 4: Alpha Logan

Inside the luxurious restaurant sat Alpha Logan and across him, Anita. A strong she-wolf from Duke Pack.

They had already ordered what they wanted to eat and drink, but Anita couldn't take her eyes off Logan as she kept staring at him, afraid to touch his orders.

"You aren't eating. Is there a problem?" he asked, seeing as she was unable to touch most of the things that he had ordered.

Without paying much attention to her, he picked up his spoon and started eating. When he was done, he drank some wine and stood up to leave.

There was no way this shewolf was his mate. If at all, he rejects her.

Anita was beyond shock at her reaction as she watched him leave. She knew her attitude made him leave, so she could not blame him.

Logan was every she wolves dream. An opportunity came for her, but it was gone already.

Standing up, she left in disappointment.

Logan had already gotten into his car long ago and had commanded Beta Joe to drive him out of the restaurant.

"Is there anything you would love me to arrange for you, Alpha Logan?" Beta Joe asked cautiously.

"Nothing," Logan answered with one word.

"Okay, Alpha Logan." Beta Joe said and drove him home.

When Logan got to his bedroom, he roamed about his room, boiling in anger. He had always hated the idea of blind dates. His people loved organising. It was not enjoyable, so he would never attempt it again.

"Or do I have a problem?" he asked himself.

But he could not believe he had a problem.

He needed a mate, and he knew it.

How no lady interests him gives him so much concern.

Sitting down, he closes his eyes with force, intending to have a conversation with his wolf.

"Drake, I think I need to talk to you." spoke, a bit angry.

Looking at his door, it was tightly shut. He then sat down and allowed his wolf to come out for a conversation.

"Drake, I refused to believe I will never have a mate," Logan said worriedly.

"Logan, you will have a mate soon," Drake replied as he blinked his red eyes that complemented his black body.

"I will be twenty-six years old soon. I deserve one, not some unnecessary delay."

"She will look like a gift to you, Logan. Just be patient and ignore what anyone says. When you see her, your spirit will tell you. Do you understand?"

There was then a knock on the door, and immediately, Drake disappeared and got back into Logan.

Alpha Ralph, just like every other night, walked into Emily's room to look for her. As usual, he had come to harass her.

On opening the door, he realised that she wasn't in the room. Then he remembered that Gia had locked her in one of the prisoner's rooms. Emily was a Packless orphan with nowhere to go, so she was still around the Alpha's mansion. In the prisoner room, to be precise.

A few minutes later, Emily, who was in the prison, could feel like someone was closing in. Fear gripped her as she stood up and held onto herself tight.

Soon, she could hear someone unlocking the door to the room.

Worried, she looked up and saw who it was.

Emily froze.

Sitting up with force, she wondered what he had come to do there.

"What do you want?"

Whatever he wanted, it was never more than what he had always done to her in her room.

"Relax Emily. I promise to help you get out of here as soon as possible. All I want is for you to give me a chance to make you feel good." he said to her in a low tone.

Emily didn't know what to say anymore as she stared at him in surprise.

Did he not see that I was in prison? Because no sane man in his right senses would go a prison and try to have their way with a prisoner.

"I am sorry, Alpha Ralph. I don't mean to wrong you, but I can not do this. I am sorry, I just can't. Talking to you caused me to be in this place, but you have yet to do something about it, so let me be." Emily replied to him, triggering his anger.

Out of anger, Alpha Ralph stood up and gave her a hard kick while cursing simultaneously.

"Ahhh!" Emily shouted in pain. She never expected the sudden kick.

"You are getting worse than I imagine. I don't know what you think you are. Stinky thing."

"I did nothing wrong to you tonight; why did you choose hate over love? Love rules, you know." she daringly advised.

Alpha Ralph froze at the unexpected advice.

"I see!" he responded, grabbed the blanket that was left for her by Gia's men and walked away with it.

Emily curled herself up as she shivered uncontrollably throughout the night.

Emily's birthday was in three days, and it was the same for the future Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack, most especially.

The news went viral as everyone anticipated the great Alpha Logan's birthday.

When Emily heard it, she only smiled happily and hoped he would celebrate it well, just like he did the last one that went viral.

Alpha Ralph and Gia instructed the guards to bring out Emily and let her know of Logan's visitation so that she would have everything set just as usual.

Emily was glad that, finally, she could see the broad daylight. She then started preparing and taking better care of herself to make her Alpha and future Luna Gia.

Crescent Moon Pack was no joke, as it was practically the biggest and most important.
