Chapter 3 Kidnapped

Laura woke up later to find herself lying on a king sized bed. She looked around the room and realized it did not look like her room in anyway. She then remembered all what happened and the fear was back. She suddenly felt a slight headache and subconsciously touched her forehead, squeezing her face.

''Here. This will help ease the pain" She suddenly heard someone talk beside her. She flinched and looked towards where the voice came from and she saw Alex holding a cup of water in one hand and drugs in the other hand pointed towards her. She didn't know when he got there. 'or has he been here all along?' she thought. She noticed he smiled but didn't say a word. He later sat beside her and looked at her face before pointing the drugs towards her again. Laura moved a little bit away from him as he sat beside her. She fixed her eyes on him focusing on his every move. She didn't trust him one bit. He killed two people in front of her without blinking, only God knows why he had not killed her yet. Maybe he wanted to torture her first before killing her. Well, she had suffered so much. Besides, she had no family, no siblings, nobody to mourn her when she's finally dead. Maybe death wasn't really a bad idea anyways. She carefully took the drugs and cup of water from him and swallowed them.

"Why did you decide to poison me rather than snap my neck like you killed those two?" She asked.

"What!! That was a painkiller I gave you, to ease your headache" He said to her furrowing his brows. 'how could she even think I would want to kill her. If only she knows how much she means to me' he thought, a little bit disappointed.

"Okay then. Thanks for the 'painkillers'. Can I go now?" She asked again emphasizing on the"painkillers".

"No. You're going nowhere." He said

"And why if I may ask?"

"I don't want you to go"

"Why? You think I will take some antidote or something to neutralize the poison?"

"I. did. not. give. you. poison. I am not going to hurt you, okay? I just want you to relax for a bit before going home. Maybe tomorrow, you can leave for your house or wherever you want to go" Alex said angrily. He stood from the bed and left her in the room while he locked the door after him. Few minutes later, Laura heard the door clicked open and a young lady came in. She looked a bit older than her with her hair packed in a ponytail style. She was a bit chubby and short but beautiful. The young lady dropped the tray she was holding on the table next to Laura. She smiled at Laura and bowed her head slightly.

"Good morning my lady" the young lady said.

"Morning? You mean night?" Laura asked confused.

"It's morning my lady. You were brought in by alpha...uhm sir Alex last night" the young lady said to her. Laura was shocked. 'So, I actually spent the night here in this strange man's house and he has not killed me yet? Is he going to turn me into his slave? What exactly does he want from me?' she said to herself.

"Uhm ma'am, my name is sandy and I've been assigned to you as your personal maid. Please call me Incase you need anything. You can always use the phone on the table" Sandy said again bowing her head slightly.

"Thank you sandy. I'm laura" Laura said, stretching her hand towards sandy for a handshake. Sandy respectfully took her hand while bowing her head at the same time.

"Nice to meet you ma'am." She said

" Please don't refer to me as ma'am. We should be around the same age. Besides, I'll soon become a maid like you so quit the ma'am thing with me, okay?" Laura said to sandy with a sad smile on her face. "Can I ask you some questions?" She asked sandy.

"Yes ma'am, please go ahead" sandy said.

"Alex is your boss, right?"

"Yes ma'am." Sandy answered, careful of her replies.

"What does he do? Is he a serial killer or some mafia lord or something? You can talk to me, I promise I won't tell anyone." Laura asked almost in a whisper.

" I... I'm sorry ma'am, I don't know anything about that. I think you should talk to sir Alex himself, he'll be able to provide answers to your questions." Sandy bowed and quickly left the room.

Laura stood up from the bed after sandy left. She walked towards the windows and moved the curtains to one side. She could see lots of shirtless men outside seriously fighting each other with their bulging muscles dripping with sweat. These men were very strong mere looking at them. She was sure she couldn't stand a chance against them. She thought of a way to escape. 'the whole villa seems to be surrounded' she thought. 'what if I find a rope to jump down the window, probably at night. Yes!!! That should work. There would be fewer men outside and I'll be able to escape that way' she thought, a little bit relieved.

"Don't even try it!!!" Alex said behind her. She jumped at the deep voice. She was so lost in thought she didn't notice when he got in. She was scared to the bones. 'what's he even talking about. She didn't say that out loud, did she?' she thought.

"What are you talking about?" She asked confused.

"You know what I'm talking about. Do not even try to escape, else I'll kill you" Alex stated a bit pissed. Laura's heart beat increased. She knew he wasn't bluffing considering the drama he pulled off last night. She quietly nodded her head. 'how did he know I was planning to escape? Is it because I was standing by the window?' she thought to herself. She made up her mind not to let her guard down again if she really wants to get out of that hell hole alive. She slowly moved away from the window and went to sit back on the bed while Alex followed her to the bed. He also sat down and carried the tray on the bed side table, he took a cutlery and scooped a spoonful of food and pointed it towards Laura. She shook her head but when her eyes met his cold ones, she quickly opened her mouth and took the food. Immediately the food entered her mouth, her stomach growled and that was when she realized she had not eaten since afternoon of the previous day. Besides, the food was very delicious. He fed her more spoonfuls of food until she was satisfied.
