Chapter 2 You again

Laura walked quietly and fast to her house. Her house was not too far from her work place so she usually trekked. The only problem was that the road to her house was usually very quiet with few houses around. She used to be scared at first, but she grew more confident walking alone along the road with time. She was thinking about the stranger she met at work and all what transpired between them when she suddenly felt uncomfortable. She felt like someone was following her. She wanted to look back to see if someone was actually following her but she was too scared to do so.

She quickened her steps with her heart beating like it was going to come out of her chest. She noticed the footsteps was getting closer and she thought of what to do but nothing came to her mind. If she should run, whoever was following her would catch up with her in no time as there was no place for her to run to. She was getting closer to a narrow road that led to her street and got more scared because that road was the most dangerous. She was crying and then as she got to the junction of the narrow road that led to her street, her adrenaline shot up to 101% and she ran as fast as her feet could carry her. As she was running, she noticed whoever was following her started running after her. The footsteps did not sound like that of just one person, it sounded like they were two or more. She kept running while her chasers got more closer. She had only ran a short distance when they caught up with her. She screamed!!!

Alex got out of the bar, took some steps forward when he smelt people around. Two people. He stylishly traced the smell and saw them where they were hiding. They couldn't see him because everywhere was dark but he could see them clearly being a werewolf. He realized they were the two guys he overheard talking about his Laura. Remembering what they both discussed angered him more and then something strucked in his head. ''could they be hiding here because of my woman?'' he thought. He decided to wait somewhere in the dark and see what they were up to but he was sure they were up to no good. Few minutes later, Laura got out of the bar and started walking home. The two intruders waited for like ten seconds before moving out of their hiding place and followed her, Alex then followed slowly behind them. They kept following Laura with Alex a little bit distanced from the other two guys but they did not notice him coming behind them cos he was very fast and swift due to the fact that he was a werewolf, not a human like them. At some point, they looked back to check if no one was coming behind them but before they could fully turn their heads, Alex had disappeared. He moved like air, it was as if he was never there. The two guys, happy no one was also following at that point in time discretely kept following Laura. Alex came out of his hiding place and started following them again. He suddenly smelt fear from Laura and he was so enraged. His eyeballs changed from blue to the darkest black color. The fear coming from Laura grew stronger and he could even hear her heart beat. He mind-linked Randolph his beta and best friend.

"Meet me at dove's avenue in five minutes" he said coldly through the link.

"Okay Alpha" Randolph replied at the other end. Randolph would have made a joke at that moment but he knew better not to. He knew whenever Alex speaks with that kind of tone, something serious was about to happen or had just happened. He quickly gestured to an omega and they both got into the car and drove off.

Alex shut the link with his beta and saw they had gotten to the junction of a narrow road and suddenly Laura started running while the two guys ran after her. They caught up with her in no time and surrounded her. One of the guys stood in front of her while the other guy stood behind her. They were both smirking down at her.

"What do you want from me?" Laura asked them with a shaky voice.

"We just want to have a taste of your sweet, sexy body bi*ch" one of them said while he got more closer to her.

"No. Pls don't do that. I'll give you all the money I have, my phone, everything. Please don't hurt me please" she said already in tears.

"Hahahahaha money? Do we look like we are hungry to you? Oh! Well, maybe we're hungry, hungry of your beautiful body baby." the other guy said and stretching his hand to grab her a*s when his head suddenly went off. Laura and the remaining guy opened their mouths in shock. They both looked at each other like they could get answers from each other's faces. It took a while for them to realize that the other guy was dead without even knowing what happened. Laura's feet felt like it was stucked to the ground. She couldn't move, she couldn't scream, she just stood there with her eyes and mouth wide open thinking of what could have happened. The other guy finally realizing his friend was dead with his head nowhere to be found, he looked at Laura with wide eyed and thought she could be the culprit. ''maybe she's a witch'' he thought and was slowly moving away from her. Laura was looking at him as he moved away from her with her eyes still widely opened. She had not yet recovered from the shock. She did not even know if she should run or stay. Even if she wants to run, to which direction would it be? She was so shakened with fear, she didn't know what to do. She kept watching the man back away from her and then as he turned to run but all of a suddenly he stopped and she saw him being lifted off the ground and a hand was wrapped around his neck squeezing life out of him. She moved her eyes from the hand up to see it's owner, and then she saw him. He was looking straight into her eyes, obviously furious and that sent a cold chill down her spine.

"You again?" She said still looking at him.

"Nobody touches what is mine!!!" Alex replied with gritted teeth. Still looking at her, he tightened his hand around the culprit's neck while the later fought for his life. He kept squeezing his neck until there was a crushing sound and boom!!! his head went off. His blood splattered all over the place. It was like a horror movie to Laura. When the guy's head went off, Laura screamed and fainted.

One minute later, a car pulled over beside them and Randolph and the Omega that followed him from the pack house got out of the car and walked towards Alex and Laura. Alex was carrying Laura in his arms and immediately he saw the car, he walked towards it and met Randolph and the Omega midway.

"Take care of this mess" he said looking at the Omega.

"Okay Alpha" the Omega replied bowing his head. Randolph opened the back door of the car for Alex to enter and then went over to the driver's seat and zoomed off.
