Chapter 6 Prick The Sore Spot In Sheri's Heart

Kolton left the house after lunch. He received a phone call and went straight to the company. Valentina hailed a taxi to the hospital.

The burns on her back were quite serious. She was required to change the dressing every day.

While the doctor was preparing to change her dressing, Sheri suddenly appeared.

She was wearing a mask, sunglasses, a short skirt, and high heels. She sashayed in carrying a bag with a price tag of several million dollars.

"Let me see who has the courage to treat her!"

The doctor was yet to recognize her and was about to voice her displeasure when Sheri took off her sunglasses.

The doctor and the nurse recognized her instantly and fell into a terrified silence.

After all, Sheri was a household name in the city.

Actually, she was merely an ordinary girl. She had no family background or acting talent. Her acting skills were worse than a D-lister.

She didn't even stand out in the entertainment circle where there were so many beautiful women.

However, she still managed to have endless resources and contracts.

That was possible because she had a sugar daddy.

Now, she was on her way to becoming an A-lister because of her sugar daddy's backing.

Ordinary people would think twice before offending her.

Sheri felt quite proud when she saw how scared the doctor and the nurse were. After sending them away, she glared at Valentina arrogantly and said, "Did you see? This is what happens when you offend me. I have more than enough ways to make your life miserable."

As Valentina watched Sheri, she felt that she had made a mistake.

She shouldn't have simply slapped Sheri yesterday. She should've broken all of Sheri's teeth.

"If you have any sense, get out of here. Don't stay in the city anymore! Aren't you aware of your status? You're just a country bumpkin. How are you going to marry Kolton? You're dreaming. You..."

Sheri's tirade came to an abrupt halt.

Valentina had just taken out her marriage certificate with Kolton.

Valentina disliked him, but she refused to allow an insignificant person to flaunt her influence in front of her.

Moreover, this bitch had caused her trouble more than once.

She would have to pick on the sore spot in Sheri's heart. Didn't this bitch want to marry Kolton? She was going to shatter her dream completely.

She was going to infuriate Sheri.

Sure enough, as Sheri studied the marriage certificate in her hand, she lost her mind.

She looked uncertain for a long moment before she stuttered, "You... You... You are lying! This must be fake! It's impossible to believe that Kolton would marry you. You're just a country bumpkin. I'm positive that he doesn't like you!"

Valentina retorted, "You can confirm with Kolton if it's true! Why don't I take you to City Hall right now? You can let the staff verify if the certificate is true or not."

"You..." Sheri was dumbfounded.

Valentina scoffed and scowled. "I'm married to Kolton. I'm his wife. You're just a mistress. If you dare to boast or seduce my husband in front of me again, I'm going to make you pay!"

After Valentina said her piece, she rolled her eyes at Sheri and left.

A few moments later, Sheri's agonizing sobs could be heard from the room, mixed with the sound of things being thrown around.

Valentina pursed her lips and made her way to the elevator.

She didn't force the doctor to change the dressing for her. She was worried that Sheri would direct her revenge at the doctor.

Valentina didn't want to be the reason the doctor landed in hot soup. It was pointless to bully a nobody.

A little while later, Kolton received a horrifying phone call.

Sheri had slit her wrist.
