Chapter 4 4

was taking in her expressionless state, which seemed as blank as a slate. His eyes wandered over her as though he were doing an examination of her. There was no feeling of déjà vu at all. She gave the impression of being an entirely different person.

He was mistaken about the identity of the girl she was.

When he got her home and removed her mask, he wasn't expecting to see this face, yet his mate was there all along. The truth descended upon him like a whirlwind.

He was most taken aback by the fact that she had changed; this time it's different; in fact, everything is going to be different, and he is curious as to what caused her to behave in this manner. He was ruminating on the various possibilities, contemplating what might have taken place. Is this some form of self-control spell or a magical spell altogether? When he finally understood what was going on, he wrinkled his brow in frustration.

The young woman standing in front of him was merely a live body; she lacked sentiments and emotions, and he was aware of the reason for this. He was under the impression that this was something that could only be accomplished by one's ancestors, so he didn't even consider the possibility.

He is aware of the reasons why she is unable to experience any discomfort.

As the lady concluded her therapy, Eira began to experience feelings of vertigo. She is completely numb.

She was rendered fragile as a result of the blood loss, notwithstanding the excruciating discomfort. She shook her head in an effort to keep herself awake, and his awareness of this battle was not lost on him. When he looked at her efforts, he couldn't help but laugh.

"she is not like other people..."

He stared at the lady with an expression on his face that suggested he was giving her instructions, and she responded by nodding her head in a deferential fashion.

"Here... Drink this water."

The lady drank from a glass of water that she had brought to her mouth. When Eira took a whiff of the liquid, she immediately realised that it was not water because the liquid had a sour flavour.

As she fought to stay awake, she was progressively overcome by the darkness, which engulfed all of her senses. She was ultimately overpowered by the medicine, and as a result, she slipped into a deep sleep.

She was still in the position of sitting, but her head was cocked to the side.

"The cut on her back is not that deep but still I need to check it again..."
