Chapter 5 William Want to Protect Anna

Anna couldn't go home that day. She lived in a wooden house. Although it was made of wood, the carvings looked very elegant.

Who knows who built this wooden house in the middle of the wilderness?

A knock on the door woke up the brunette girl. Anna still wanted to sleep.

How could it be possible, in the middle of this wilderness, that the brunette girl could sleep peacefully, after yesterday she had been whining about going home to William and Chris?

"Anna, have you forgotten? Don't you want to see something interesting?" said someone from outside the door.

She stretched her body and yawned. Her eyes looked up at the window of the room that was already showing a glimmer of light from the window that was still covered with a cloth.

"Ah, yes! I promised William!" She hurriedly got up from her bed and opened the door.

In front of the door stood a well-built man with a firm jaw and blue eyes, folding his hands in front of his chest.

Gosh, why is William so handsome? It made her pause for a moment, looking at William's handsome face!

"Anna." William's hand smoothed the brunette's hair. He smiled sweetly, meeting his mate in the morning.

The two stared at each other in silence. Both of them were lost in that gaze. William wanted to hug Anna, while Anna was still looking at God's beautiful creation!

The silence between them was broken when a beast entered the house, startling Anna!

"No! Why are there two wolves in the house?" Anna cried out in fear and accidentally hugged William.

William was surprised that Anna hugged him. This hug was so comfortable! This was what he wanted all along! A hug from his mate.

"Be careful, William! Those wolves will swallow us both!" Anna's heart was racing, she felt like she was on a small bridge, and in the middle of it was a bottomless pit!

"Anna, calm down. Wolves are good animals. And wolves don't eat humans." William held Anna's shoulders and told her to stay calm.

Seeing Anna so scared because of the two wolves, made William uneasy. Would Anna also be afraid of him later, if he was honest?

"No way, William! Please tell the two wolves to leave. I want to go home ... Mom ... Dad ... Anna doesn't want to be here." Anna cried in William's arms.

Forced, hearing Anna's screams, William gave the two wolves the code to get out of the house.

His plan had failed. The reason William woke Anna up so early, he wanted to show the wolf to Anna. And familiarize Anna with the wolf. However, nothing had happened yet, Anna was already crying in fear.

"Anna, the two wolves are gone. Don't cry anymore, I'm sorry." William hugged Anna tightly. Rubbing her back.

He was so lulled that he ignored the inner call of the wolf out there. The wolf wanted to tell William that the Shewolf–Sheline had just come to his log house.

"Alpha! Who is she?" Shewolf's call made William let go of Anna's embrace.

Stupid! He was usually already aware of Shewolf's presence, even from a distance! But, why was it that when he was with Anna, he was too complacent and indifferent to his surroundings?

Sheline looked Anna up and down. "Who is that girl? Why are there humans–"

Before Sheline could finish her sentence, William quickly brought Sheline out.

"Sheline, please watch your language, okay? We are disguised as ordinary humans. And don't say anything about our world," she explains.

"So, why is she here, William? And also, why are you guys hugging?" probed Sheline who couldn't accept her boyfriend hugging a stranger!

"I'll explain later. Please, treat her well, okay? She didn't get lost on purpose."

"If she is lost, why not return her immediately? You know, right, the Vampire Clan is very sensitive to human blood!"

"I can't return it now. There are many things I need to know about her." William felt guilty for Sheline. This Shewolf in front of him loved him very much and was also good to him.

However, William hasn't felt any love vibes for Sheline. Nonetheless, he always tries to treat his girlfriend well.

"William, make no more mistakes. The Vampire Clan and the Wolf Pack have already made peace. If they know you are hiding humans, there will be bloodshed again. I do not want the Wolf Pack to get hurt again." Sheline lowered her face, remembering her best friend-Shewolf who had died in a vampire attack during the war decades ago.

"Sheline, don't worry. I will find a way for the Vampire Clan not to find out." William held both of Sheline's hands so that she would not worry too much.

William smelled his mate's scent, he turned his gaze towards Anna who was peeking at him from the window crack.

Fearing that his mate was jealous, William pushed Sheline without permission, causing her to fall.

"William, what are you doing? My body hurts!"

The handsome Alpha immediately helped Shewolf up and apologized. However, the tail of his eyes did not look at Sheline at all, but rather at Anna who was still faithfully peeping at him.

Sheline realized that and she looked at Anna. "What exactly is wrong with that girl? You've never been like this before!" Shewolf spoke silently to Alpha.

"I'm not. I just feel sorry for her." Alpha should not have been so blunt with his lover if Anna was the mate destined by the Moon Goddess to accompany him for life.

"Sheline, you go home first. Your mother was looking for you yesterday and was very worried about you," he coaxed gently, so as not to offend his beloved.

Shewolf had just stood guard at the border of the territory between the Vampire clan and the Wolf pack with Chris–Beta.

Although she was a she-wolf, her strength was unquestionable.

Ten years ago, Sheline killed the Vampire clan with the other warriors. Hence, why the other Wolf pack members agreed to have Alpha deal with Sheline alone.

Both have above-average strength. If these two werewolves mate and have offspring, they will probably produce stronger wolf pups. And make the Wolf pack an invincible army!

"Alright, I'm going home now. Later tonight, don't forget to attend the meeting between the Vampire clan and the Wolf pack," Sheline warned.

Every year, there was always a meeting between the Vampire clan and the Wolf pack, so that there would always be peace.

They did not want any more bloodshed. Many of their friends had died in wars in the past.

"I will come. Please tell all the Omegas to prepare a delicious meal," William ordered.

"Alpha, you don't intend to take the girl, do you? Don't do anything reckless, Alpha ... If that girl is invited to the meeting, surely the Vampire Clan will find out."

"I'm not sure ...."

William was confused, while the meeting lasted until the early hours of the morning. There were many things they would discuss. However, he was also unsure about leaving Anna alone in his wooden house. Since all the Wolf members would be attending the meeting.

So, what should he do?
