Chapter 5 Mate

***MAKIMA POINT OF VIEW***

Clarissa and I were finally close to the ocean shore when we heard a massive explosion, we both stopped running and I looked back . Well she told me her name is Clarissa so don't be surprised I know her name .

We could see a cloud of smoke and am sure it's coming from the village

"What's going on " I ask confuse

" Hey Clarissa I want you to run straight, the ocean shore isn't far from here " I said to her

"What about you? " she asks and I smile and squat down to her height .

" Don't worry about me am gonna be fine , now run and don't stop until you get there " I said but she didn't move all she did was stare at me

" Are you gonna come back " she ask

"Yes I will "

" You don't look like you will , I know you're not a wolf . So why did you save me "

"Look Clarissa, I don't have much time , I need to return back to the village. I know you won't understand me but please run " I said and she hissed .

"Before I go can you please tell me your name " she demand

"Makima , my name is Makima ."I said and she nodded with a smile

"Thanks Makima " she said and with that she ran off , I huffed and raced back towards the village.

I gasped when I saw dead bodies scattered all around the place with blood all over the ground , I stood still . Loud screams fill the air and I could see wolfmen ripping my people apart like meat .

"Mom." I mumble and my gaze move towards our house which is far ahead

"Mom ..mom "I raced towards my home as fast as my legs could take me and in no time I got to our bamboo mud building , the house door was already smashed open and dead bodies of wolf men and our guards were all over the place .

"Ahhhhh " I heard an agonising scream and I rushed into the house only to find my father standing beside a dead body of a wolf man that he just killed , he slowly turned to me . His body is covered with claw marks and blood poured out of the wounds and his left eye was damaged already .

"Makima "dad called and fell back on the ground

"Father "I rush to him , I knelt beside him

" M-makima "he stuttered and blood gush out of his mouth

" Dad "I called in tears , he lifted up his bloody hand and placed it at the side of my face .

"Am sorry ..am so ...sorry I.. couldn't protect you all " he said with a sad smile , I can't believe this is happening. I saw pain and regret in his eyes as he drew his last breath and there in front of me, my father gave up . I wiped my tears and carefully shut his eyes since he died with his eyes wide open .

"I love you father "I mumble and kiss his forehead before rushing towards my mother's room , the hallway was covered with blood and a dead body .

"Mom "I yelled the moment I saw her , she sat on the floor with a bamboo stake stabbed through her heart . Her eyes were shut and blood drip out of her mouth

"No no no .. this can't be ..mother mother "i cried and tapped her cheek but she gave no response.

" Please mother say something "I cried and then she gasped and opened her eyes , my heart floating with joy as she looked up at me .

" Makima , oh thank goodness you're f..fine "she winces and coughs blood .

"Mother it's okay , we need to find a way to get this stake out of your chest . This looks bad oh my goddess , I need to call the priestess she..."

"Makima stop ..stop "she said and I looked up at her eyes. Her condition is really bad but deep down I feel there's a way to save her . I don't care if I lose everything but I can't lose my mother .

"Makima listen to me "

"Mother I..."

"Stop Makima I don't have much time , I have already foresee my dead so it's okay to embrace it "she said and I shook my head

" Don't be selfish I can't embrace you dying, it's unacceptable "I yelled and she smiled , a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

" I want you to promise me , promise me you won't try to revenge or bare any hatred for the wolves . We are the course of our downfall, our sins have finally caught up with us . Promise me now that you will let bygone be bygone "she said and lifted up her bloody hand , how can I do that , those people slaughter our people . How can I forgive them and move forward, no she must be joking .

"Mother "I called

" Please Makima , swear you won't try to carry out any plans of vengeance ."

"I...I promise, I promise"I said and placed my hand on her blood palm , she smiled and exhaled heavily .

"Here I made this for you , always remember I am with you wherever you go "she took off her necklace and wore it on me and with that she laid back and died smiling , I sat on the floor in shock unable to move . How am I even gonna start , the only person who stood by me is dead , she's my everything.

I heard a loud growl and I slowly turned , a wolf man walking glaring dangerously at me . I just stared blankly at him , maybe it's best for me to also die .

The wolf man dash forward to claw out my head but out of nowhere a huge fireball blasts it away .

" Are you planning to die "Inka voices out and I look up at her , her whole body covered with blood .

"My ..my mom "my lips trembled, she took a glance at my mother's dead body and she scoffed and grabbed my arm and pulled me up .

" There's no time to cry Makima , the entire village is on fire . Let's go "she dragged me along with her..

***** THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW ***

Raya smiles victoriously but then her smile vanishes when she sees the Alpha king walking out of the fire without any scratch , his coat, shoe and singlet was burned so he was left with just his black trousers .

"You should throw weapons around "he said and threw her spear on the ground , she was damn surprised that he's still alive . She noticed there's a hole in his chest which confirms that her spear really hit him but why is he still alive .

The wound on alpha Craig chest healed up and left no scare

" You are no ordinary wolf alpha , you are a monster " she said , he shovelled his hands into his pocket .

" You are right, I am no ordinary wolf " he said calmly and Raya clinched her fist .

" No matter what you are I will kill you "she holler and point her hand up , the cloud above them produces a heavy thunder clap . Alpha Craig frowned as he stared up at the sky and then Raya unleashed a powerful lightning which dropped out of the sky and it struck him .

The ground shook due to the tremendous impact , she staggered back feeling weak after unleashing such a great deal of lighting .

"You are really powerful I must say, '' Alpha Craig said, still standing at the same spot where he got struck by lightning. Raya 's heart throbbed fast as she stared at him . His body was badly burned yet he still stood firm , molecule by molecule his skin assembled and healed up .

" You were right when you said I was a monster"he said and his red eyes glowed brightly and a black smoke emitted out of his body , the smoke from his Body gathered together and formed a 10 feet tall werewolf with red glowing eyes and 2 large horns made of wood .

Raya legs wobble and she falls on the ground scared to move , the wolf behind alpha Craig sneers furiously as it glares at her . Raya huffed and gathered enough courage and she rose up from the ground . She clenched her fist and her body was engulfed with lightning.

" I am a warrior and I will die with honour "she yells and charges forward .

" Kill her "he commanded and his wolf leaped over him , Raya loud agonising scream filled the air as her body was ripped apart by the black shadow wolf and after it was done the wolf vanished into nothingness like it never existed.

"Alpha we have successfully erase the Amazonian " Xander mind link alpha Craig

"Cole have you found your daughter " alpha Craig said through the mind link .

"Yes I have "Cole said back and alpha Craig nodded , he was about to walk away when he suddenly felt a strong scent of Jasmine and cherry .

"What's this "he mumbled and sniffed the air and then his whole body leapt for joy .

"Mate mate mate mate ....Craig our mate is here " his wolf said for the first time after 200 years of ghosting Craig .

" So you're still alive old guy " alpha Craig said with a frown

" Shut up and find our mate , can't you smell that , hahaha that's the smell of love and happiness' ' his wolf squealed and before alpha Craig could react his wolf took control of his body and he dashed off tracking down the source of the scent .

***MAKIMA POINT OF VIEW ****

All the fighting was done by Inka who took on the wolfmen charging at us , and out of nowhere a wolf man swiftly grabbed her from behind and he threw her towards the wall .

"Inka "I scream out in horror as she crashes hard on a wall which cracks , she groans out in pain . The wolf grabs her by the neck and lifts her up , he growls out enjoying as he strangles her .

I quickly pick up a plank and rush forward , smashing the plank on the wolf head .

"Ahhhh "it shriek and let go of Inka who fell flat on the ground

"You little bitch "the wolf man roared and grabbed me, he slammed me on the rocky ground and I felt my ribs cracking .

"Ahhhhh " I scream out

" Am gonna enjoy ripping you apart " he sneer and stabbed his claws into my stomach

"Ahhhh "I scream out in horror , the wolf man smirked evilly but just then he gasps .

"Ahhh"he gasped and blood poured out of his mouth , his chest ripped open . It seems someone stabbed him from behind .

My head was spinning fast and my vision was slowly becoming blurred ,I looked up and there stood a shirtless man . I couldn't see his face but his red glowing eyes were what I noticed .

"W...who a...are you " I stuttered and then darkness clouded me before he could even respond.
