Chapter 6 Important Files

Ardhan took a deep breath after reading the short message. Prama hasn't finished his task yet, but Prama also gives orders to him. The man wanted Ardhan to welcome his superior investors who came to their project construction site.

The man walked as quickly as possible to get back to work, completing Mr. Bobby's assignment. After that, Ardhan prepared himself to welcome their guests. But the awaited guest never arrived.

"Mr. Prama, are our guests not coming?" Ardhan asked Prama when the man returned.

"I met our investors earlier, we had lunch together. "Sorry, because I forgot to tell Mr. Ardhan," explained Prama.

"Oh, I see," said Ardhan briefly. For some reason, a feeling of disappointment arose in his heart. He had prepared himself to perform as well as possible. In fact, the awaited guest had already met Prama. "Why did you tell me to welcome guests?" he thought.

The two men returned to continue their work. Ardhan sat back in front of his monitor screen. His brown eyes accidentally looked at Prama's injured left hand. Immediately, his mind was focused on Kinanti's figure. He suspected that something had happened between them.

"Why, Mr. Ardhan?" Prama scolded.

"Ah, no, it's okay, sir," replied Ardhan nervously because he was caught watching Prama.

"Is there something wrong with me?" Prama asked further. Ardhan answered with a shake of his head. He quickly focused his gaze on his laptop monitor. However, he still couldn't get his mind off Kinanti until work hours were over.

Prama and Ardhan walked side by side to the parking area while chatting lightly. Ardhan wanted to ask about the wound on Prama's hand, but he thought better of it. "I'll go first, Mr. Ardhan," said Prama as he opened his car door.

"Yes, sir," said Ardhan. The man then started his battered motorbike. Unfortunately, the old green motorbike wouldn't start, no matter how much Ardhan tried.

"The motorbike broke down, sir?" asked Prama, who suddenly appeared beside Ardhan. Of course, this surprised Ardhan.

"Y-yes sir, it's normal to be confused again," said the man.

"Want to come home with me? "Let my men take the motorcycle to the repair shop," offered Prama, but this was politely rejected by Ardhan. He didn't want to be taken home by the orange-eyed man. As a result, the man remained in that place until the sun went down.

Luckily, there were workers who could help him, so the man could return home. On his way home, Ardhan passed a white car that was similar to Kinanti's car. Ardhan was moved to follow the vehicle. He followed Kinanti's car until the vehicle entered the toll gate.

Disappointed, Ardhan walked back to his house. After struggling for an hour, the man finally arrived at his house, and as usual, his parents gave him a lecture because he was coming home late again.

Ardhan immediately went into his room, changed clothes, and laid down on the bed. He was still thinking about Prama and Kinanti and attributed his colleague's behavior to his orange eyes. An incoming call interrupted his activities.

"Hello, sir," he said on the cell phone.

"[Dhan, tomorrow you can go straight to the project. "No need to stop by the office]" said Mr. Bobby, who ordered his trusted subordinates to supervise the collaboration project.

"Yes, sir," said Ardhan obediently. Even though he preferred to be in the office, the man would use this opportunity to find out more about the owner of these unique eyeballs.

Because he felt tired and sleepy, the man who liked blue went straight to sleep. Ardhan had successfully gone through a difficult day. He fell asleep soundly until the alarm forced him to wake up. After stretching a little, the man got up from his bed, grabbed a towel, and headed for the bathroom.

In less than half an hour, the man was ready to go to his new place of work. This morning, the green motorbike was not fussy, the old-school vehicle started in one try. Now Ardhan is on the main road, joining other drivers.

Travel time is longer than it should be due to the large number of drivers going to work. Ardhan was anxious, he was afraid he would be late getting to work. So he drove the beetle motorbike fast towards the project site.

"Good morning, Mr. Ardhan," said Prama when he got out of his car. Instead of answering the greeting, Ardhan was busy paying attention to Prama's car.

"Is this Mr. Prama's car?"

"Of course," said Prama quickly. "Actually, this belongs to my lover, I only borrowed it for a moment," continued Prama. Ardhan responded with a faint smile. It turned out that the car he was chasing yesterday was Kinanti's, brought by Prama.

The two of them walked hand in hand into their small office, and when they arrived, Prama and Ardhan immediately started their activities. Today Ardhan was quite busy because Mr. Bobby asked for a clearer and more complete report, He tried to put aside Kinanti's affairs.

Because of this, he repeatedly approached the project site and conducted brief interviews with workers and their superiors. Time continued to pass until lunch time arrived. Prama said goodbye again to have lunch outside.

"Mr. Ardhan, want to come with me?" Prama offered kindly.

"No thanks, Mr. Prama," said Ardhan. "I'll just have lunch here."

There was no second offer or coercion from Prama; he then left Ardhan shortly after receiving the rejection. The man, who always wore a black suit, then walked towards the parking lot.

Meanwhile, Ardhan is back to struggling with his work. Mr. Bobby was waiting for his report, so he had to send it immediately. Ardhan thought his task was finished, but in fact, his superior was still asking for other files.

It turns out that the file is still held by Prama. Due to the pressure of the situation, Ardhan dared to walk towards Prama's table. The man started looking for the file in a pile of his colleagues' important files.

"Where does he keep a copy of that file?" thought Ardhan, frustrated because he couldn't find the object he was looking for.

The corner of his eye glanced at the desk drawer, Ardhan hadn't had time to search that place. His thin hands pulled the drawer open, and all the files were clearly displayed. He took out the stack of papers, examining them one by one. It turns out he discovered something he shouldn't have known.

Ardhan couldn't stop, especially when he saw his company's cooperation documents. The man did not think that Prama would have the heart to do something like that to him and his company. He took the files to give them to his superior. All the files used as evidence were in hand, and Ardhan immediately walked towards the parking lot.

Because he was in a hurry, Ardhan didn't see someone walking towards him. As a result, the two of them collided. "Sorry, sir, sorry, I'm in a hurry," said Ardhan without looking at the person he hit because he was busy.

"Mr. Ardhan, where did you get that file?"
