Chapter 7 A Call To Return

Lorelei's POV

I woke up with a muscular arm around my waist, feeling very content. I had not felt so good before while also feeling quite used, almost. I smiled as I slowly came to, and the memories from last night spread through me, making me feel very warm and ready for more. What had gotten into me? I enjoyed our intimate moments, but I didn't remember having such a hunger for Rowan. It was like he knew though, as he stirred behind me, sighing and pulling me closer, making me feel how ready he was for more as well, and I gasped, feeling my cheeks heat.

"Goodness, I love waking up next to you," he whispered in my ear.

I was more awake now though, a smile spread across my face.

" Me too," I turned to him and wrapped my hands around him. As he kissed me, I parted my legs and rubbed his head, but suddenly, my phone rang. " Excuse me."

Rowan laid back and I picked up the phone and my eyes widened as I stared at the caller ID, It's Ethan. As much as I don't want to pick this call in front of Rowan, I don't want to have any problem with Ethan, and I don't want Rowan to suspect anything at all.

Fortunately, the call ended and just when I was about to put the phone in silence, he called back.

" Who's that?" Rowan asked, noticing my discomfort I guess.

" Oh! It's my brother. I don't wanna pick this call, but......" What more can I say? I already lied yesterday. With a sigh, I answered the call and placed the phone on my ear.

" Hello, angel. Good morning." His voice came through, causing me to smile.

" Good morning Ethan? How are you doing?" I lowered the call volume and covered my chest, to stop Rowan from staring at my boobs.

" I can't say I'm fine, cause I miss you so much."

" Same here, so hard here." I replied.

" Hope I didn't disturb your sleep?"

" No, not at all. I was just waking up."

" Okay, just wanted to let you know that I'll be returning in the evening or so. Whatever time it is, I'm coming back today."

" Really?" I furrowed my brows, and at the same time, Rowan slid his hand into my dress and lean forward, then took my nipple into his mouth.

" Yeah!"

" Stop, just wait." I said to Rowan and pushed him off, gently.

" Just......" Rowan was about to say something, but I placed my finger on his lips and shut him up.

" Shhhh....." I cautioned.

" What's that?" Ethan asks, I'm pretty sure he heard it.

" Huh? Oh! It's nothing. Just a cat." I replied and Rowan raised his brows. I don't know if he knew that I was referring to him, but he seems to be displeased.

" What are you doing with a cat?" Ethan's voice came through.

" Rebecca brought it to the house. She's been keeping me company since you left." I replied and Rowan got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom.

" Okay, my greetings to her."

" So are you really serious about returning today?"

" Yes darling. Can't stay away from my Angel for long. I couldn't sleep last night, I kept thinking about you."

" Same here, I miss you so much. Can't wait for you to return." I muttered and glanced at the bathroom, I could hear the sound of water coming from there.

" Guess you wanna take your bath. We'll see when I get back, okay? Take care of yourself."

" Thanks for letting me know. I'm gonna prepare your favorite." I said excitedly, but was interrupted by Rowan, who suddenly cleared his throat as he returned to the room.

" That's why I love you."

" Same here. Till then, bye!"

" Bye!" Ethan replied and I quickly hung up the call and turned to Rowan.

" I don't wanna believe you're referring to me as a cat. Were you?" He asked, wiping his face with a towel and sitting beside him.

" Well, not really."

" Serious?"

" Yeah! Did you even hear our conversation?" I asked, to be sure, so I could know what to reply him.

" Nope! I guess the volume was low. It's like you didn't want me to hear it."

" Of course not, I didn't know that it's not loud enough. Why would I do that?" I replied, deep down, I was really excited.

" Oh well," She shrugged, " do you say it's your brother?" He asked.

" Yeah! I'd like to speak with him someday."

" No! Don't do that. He will be mad at me." I quickly interjected. I can't let them communicate, they'll be a problem and it will affect me.

" Why?"

" I don't want you two to have a problem. When you broke up with me, I told him everything that happened between us, and ever since then, he'd warn me to stay away from any relationship as of now. If you approach him now, they'll be a problem. Please don't do it, if you truly love me please."

There's silence and I was curious to know what's going on in his mind. I don't know why I'm finding it difficult to choose between the two of them. Rowan made me happy last night, and I feel so good after a long time of being in the shadows. I just need to think about this carefully, before making a decision, cause I don't want to be disappointed at the end.

" Okay, I'll stay away then. But not for too long. Do talk to him, and make him understand the whole situation." Rowan said and brushed my lips with his finger thumb, while I nodded in response.

" Thank you!" That's all I said, but his words really went deeper into my heart. " not for too long."

I begin to think about how long I'll keep this a secret. I just hope that it won't turn out to be something I never wish for.

" Let me thirst these lips, so that my mind would be at peace." He said and kissed me, pushing me gently to the bed. " It wouldn't be bad if we have our first breakfast here right? What do you think?"
