Chapter 8 Immortal source

EIGHT

Mercury looked at Rielle but showed no feeling while Hermes and Levi were both taken aback by her presence cause they had clearly warned her not to step her feet outside the room until the whole situation was taken care of.

Venus smirked and walked forward with her eyes never leaving Rielle's. "You know, I did expect someone who is mystic. Someone who possesses power and an aura enough to show how powerful you are." she clicked her tongue and shook her head. "I must say, I am disappointed. You look so ordinary."

Rielle looked at her self and open her mouth to speak but she closed them back and looked at Jupiter instead. Venus has an attitude of insulting people to their face so she wasn't surprised at all.

"Don't you think you all are making a decision for me when I can do that on my own? I am no kid remember?" she questioned. That was her plan and she would make sure it work.

Getting the three most powerful people by her side would be an achievement to what she wanted and the ability to rule her world.

She has Alex by her side as her protector. Jupiter and the king of the werewolves would be next. She stepped forward and stopped some distance away from Jupiter.

Holding the two side of her gown, she bowed a bit. "I am Rielle Chester. I know a lot about you. You are Elijah, the son of king median and the alpha of Diaporia and the one with the power of Jupiter." she smiled and stood straight. "It is an honor to meet you."

Venus sucked her teeth. "She is good. She must really be the creator." she muttered.

"I believe I have the right to choose who I want to go with." Rielle said. "Tell this to the werewolf king. I will go to the main city just as he ordered."

The whole hall went silent again. She was leaving with them? Hermes wondered as he stared at her. Rielle rose her head and her eyes met Alex's. She had him by her side but not completely.

"I will do that in ninety days. For now, I will have to stay in this palace."

Mercury furrowed his brows as he wondered what she was trying to do. Ninety days? He clearly told her that her life source would be his and that means her life would be over then. What was she trying to do?

Rielle lifted a corner of her lips and looked at Mercury again. In those ninety days, she would get the almighty Mercury to his feet. She had a better plan and that is using her human brain. As they said, humans are more intelligent beings. Being smart is what she would use to gain control of her world.

"Rielle, this is an order from king median. You have to come with us or else, we take you by force." Venus said. The whole time, Jupiter remained quiet, watching the whole scene with a lot going on in his mind.

"Well, tell your king that I am only coming after ninety days. You don't have to worry about me."

Venus was taken aback by her comment cause the king median is the most feared werewolf in the nations. Even though Alex is strong, king median is stronger than him and that makes him the most strongest werewolf.

"What are you saying? How dare you go against the order of the king?" Venus asked as her eyes turned crimson red, the eyes of an alpha werewolf.

Rielle remained untouchable. One thing she knew is that, she had a mark on her neck. That was her immortal source. With that mark, she doesn't need to be afraid cause she has the backings of a strong alpha.

Seeing her not moved by her threats, Venus got even more angry and charged at her. Getting closer to her, she jumped forward and in the process, transformed into a wolf with white furs. Before she could get to Rielle, a sudden force pushed her far across the room, making her to land on the floor, back to her human self.

Everyone looked at the one who had pushed her and were dumbstruck seeing Alex standing in front of Rielle who was flustered.

Even though she tried to be brave some minutes ago, seeing Venus charge towards her actually made her scared. She thought she was done with but then, Alex appeared out of no where and saved her. The power of a marked deal.

Venus suddenly laughed and stood up unfazed. She dusted her cloth and walked towards them again. "I knew it. I wasn't going to harm her. I just wanted to check something and now, I found it true to my thoughts." she smirked and placed her hand behind her back. "She is marked. Quick move brother."

The whole time, Alex never said anything and so did Elijah. They both had same demeanor, void of emotions.

"What should we do now brother?" she asked and faced Elijah.

"We rely her message to father." He replied and looked at Rielle. They stared at each other for some minutes before he transformed into his wolf form and like the speed of a lightening, he ran out of the palace.

Venus laughed shrilly and left too.

The whole hall remained silent. Alex was the first to leave, followed by Levi, leaving behind Rielle and Hermes.

"My lady, let me take you to your room." he offered and she went with him.

At night....

Rielle kept tossing around her bed, hissing at intervals as beads of sweat formed on her forehead. Uncomfortable was an understatement to what she felt that moment. She had goosebumps all over her body as the feeling she had got stronger.

It was getting stronger and getting real. She could feel it. It was very close to her. Very close that she could feel it breath on her.

This time, she knew danger was before her. Danger that it presence suddenly made her numb. She flew her eyes opened and her gaze caught the pair of blue eyes staring back at her.

It was there in her room, the danger she had seen in her sleep. A danger that threatens to kill her, hovering over her.
