Chapter 7 My eighteenth birthday

Getting up early and putting on my red lacy knee-length dress I bought with Mary and Bella before, I looked at mirror with a beautiful smile on my face.

Today is my eighteenth birthday!

　　And the most important thing for me was that at midnight today I will meet my Siren.

　　Feeling excited about this special day, I rushed out into the hallway and was abruptly stopped as I crashed into a brick of a wall and fell down on my ass. I raised my head to see it was my brother.

　　"I am going to wake you up, sleepyhead" He said,chuckling.

　　"I got up early," I said.

　　"Happy birthday, little girl." He pulled me into his big hug and then kissed the top of my head.

　　"Thank you," I whispered happily.

　　Walking together downstairs, I was immediately engulfed in a warm hug that came from my dad.

　　"Happy birthday, my sweetie." my dad said.

　　"Thank you, daddy," I answered.

　　"Give me my baby so I can kiss her too." then my mom said.

　　Mom approached us as her arms were extended towards me, making my dad unwillingly letting me go.

　　The next thing I know, in a second I was wrapped in my mother's arms.

　　"Happy birthday, sweetheart."

　　"Thank you, mommy."

　　We kissed and took a seat at the table where was delicious food laid down waiting to be eaten.

　　After finishing our family breakfast in the most peaceful and warming way, we went to the the hotel where the party will be held tonight.

　　The hotel was near the ocean from whose windows you could see an amazing and beautiful view of the ocean.

　　"Come on, we're here!"

　　I heard the voice of Mary and Bella.

　　I walked towards them and gave them a big hug. We all felt excited about today's party.

　　Then, we three went to the changing room to get ready for the party.

　　As we finished everything up, we slowly walked downstairs to be greeted by my family and friends.

　　"You all look so beautiful, ladies." My mom praised us earnestly.

　　Then I was dragged from person to person as they hugged, kissed, and congratulated me.

　　My cheeks were stinging from how much I was smiling.

　　I was having fun, and I was so happy to see that so many were here to enjoy this time with me.

　　After the greeting part, the ball started.

"May I have this dance with the most beautiful girl tonight?"

　　I didn't need to turn around and know who he was.

　　Ivan was staring at me with a warm smile. He was so charming with dark brown hair and beautiful blue eyes, wearing a noble black suit which made his figure more prominent.

　　When my eyes met with his, I could feel my heartbeat.

　　His hand was extended, waiting for me to receive his invitation. As I took his hand, I blushed and followed him to the dance floor. People all were watching us with their satisfied expression on their faces. We danced together without saying any word.

　　The dance with him finishing, it was getting close to midnight, and I was feeling nervous.

　　"You look beautiful tonight." He whispered to me.

　　"Thank you," I replied blushed.

　　And at next second, my dad came out and announced, "Everyone, it is time."

　 And everyone went outside towards the beach. As we arrived at the beach, they started to put off their clothes and then they all walked into the water.

Actually, I was a little shy because I had never put off my clothes in front of so many people. Thinking that it was normal for everyone to go through this spectacular "shifting" celebration, I felt a little better. And I took off my clothes fast and rushed into the ocean.

　　At this time, everyone was waiting for the moment the moonlight would shine on my skin and awaken my mate.

　　The midnight was coming. I became more and more nervous. It was reassuring that my whole family and my family flock were here with me to help me get through it.

　　Soon as the Moon shone upon the dark stars filled the sky, and touched my skin, I felt as some current of power surged up inside of my body and filled me with warmth. I felt the mysterious power in my body expanding. Suddenly, I felt my spine painful extremely as if it had been broken, and my whole body began to become heavy. I felt that I was sinking little by little in the water. At this time, I was a little nervous and then my daddy came towards me. He was instructing me, trying to get me to calm down. Then, accompanied by a violent sound, soon after was when the pain exhausted, I found myself completely submerged in the ocean .

Yes, I finished my first shifting.

　　At the very moment, I heard the soft feminine voice.

　　"Hi, Alice, I am Agnes. We are finally meeting"

　　Gasps and cheers from my whole family were heard all around me and the next moment was a celebratory shifter swim--we went for a swim together. It was exhilarating and relaxing to swim in the mysterious deep ocean in this beautiful and peaceful night.

What happened tonight all seemed so perfect, satisfying and successful.

　　 I forgot one thing. The biggest pity in this beautiful night might be that I found Ivan was not my mate.

Because when he was going to approach me every time, Agnes was always unwilling to accept his intimacy and just wanted to keep a distance from him.
