Chapter 5 Girls' worries

After school was finally over, Mary, Bella and I had made an appointment to meet at our school gate and then go shopping at the mall to get some dress for us. As we drove to the mall, we talked about our day.

Finally, as we got to the mall, I was pulled by Mary inside it, and we went dress shopping.

After visiting more than six stores and spending many hours trying on different kinds of dresses, I felt exhausted totally and lost my patience to get the proper one. Bella was also tired of trying on these dresses. However, Mary was the only one who was still energetic and enthusiastic to look for the good dresses and ask us to try on them one by one.

　　"Let's go try them on," Mary said and meanwhile handed Bella and me a lot of clothes, which she thought were good.

"I'm tired, Mary. I don't want to try again," I said, sitting in a chair in the changing room.

"Me too. Mary, can we take a break first?" Bella echoed.

"OK, you two can only rest for a while. I mainly accompany you two to come here for clothes. Now, you two haven't even found a suitable dress. Don't forget, it's you two, not me, who are going to celebrate your 18th birthday. I'm worried about you both. Isn't it difficult to say that you two are not worried?" Mary sat down next to us and said.

"Of course it's urgent, so I invite you to buy clothes with us," Bella said.

"By the way, are you nervous about that? You'll feel your mate right away," Mary asked.

Bella didn't answer but turned to me and said, "Alice, are you nervous?"

"I'm not nervous, and you?" I replied.

"Well, actually I'm a little nervous," Bella replied.

"What are you worried about?" Mary asked the question I was about to ask her before I opened my mouth.

Bella sighed and said slowly, "it's nothing. You all know the Law? I'm just afraid of it. What if my soul mate comes from another species?"

After listening to Bella, I didn't say anything because I didn't know how to comfort her.

Mary said, "it's all right, Bella. God won't do this to you. Besides, it's still early. You don't have to worry about it now. Even if your soul mate is from other species, don't be sad. Alice and I will find a way for you. Right, Alice?"

Looking at Mary's firm look, I replied, "yes, Bella, there will always be a way."

Mary then interrupted, "Alice, I know why you're not worried at all. Because Ivan must be your mate."

Ivan?

Ivan will soon become the alpha of his flock--Cromwell flock. His flock is for centuries a part of Aiden flock, which is a flock my family leads. For a long time I had a crush on Ivan, and only Mary and Bella knew about this secret.

　　He is the same age as my brother, a year older than me. He is 19 years old this year. But strangely, he haven't found his mate by now. Therefore, Mary is sure that it is a great possibility that I am his mate.

At this time, I can't help thinking, "Is it? Is it really him?" In fact, I have believed that he is the right mate I am destined to be with for a long time.

As I was thinking deeply, Mary tossed me a red lacy dress. "Try on this." She said eagerly.

　 Then I walked into the changing room and put on the dress she gave me. As I walked outside, Mary and Bella walked out from their dressing rooms at the same time. Mary was wearing a tight knee-length strapless dress while Bella was in a royal blue dress that was lightly fluttery with a sparkly waist of silver.

　　"You two look amazing," I said to them honestly, as I looked at them.

　　They both smiled at me as they agreed.

　　"You look so beautiful, too." Mary said.

　　Then I looked at the mirror and had to admit that the dress was magnificent.

　　It was a knee-length dress with a open back, which was not revealing and suited my figure well.

　　Deciding on taking these dresses, we went to pay for them.

Getting out of the store, we found it was growing dark. We put our bags in our car and decided to go home, satisfied and happy.
