Chapter 4 4... Trying to seduce me ...

In the changing room, I sat quietly on the bench with Cody. Everyone had left the room except us.

Cody has changed into his human form, and was healing from the injuries caused from the fight. He is in a tank top and knickers with the wolf logo at the side of it.

"You shouldn't have cancelled the fight" Cody complained.

"I didn't, Randall did" I said, trying to make Cody less angry.

"I know you made him do it" He growled.

"I had no choice" I whispered.

"Dammit, Callie, that's bullshit!" He vociferated.

"You could've died" I pointed out softly.

He rolled his eyes "That's not gonna happen, Callie"

"Gael was gonna kill you" I wanted to make Cody see sense, to make him understand why I had to do what I did.

"Do you had any idea how much money I had to lose because of your stupid act?" He asked with a glare.

"It's better to lose money than to lose your life, it doesn't look like you were gonna win anyways" I said sharply.

The referee, who is now in his human form, opened the door halfway and shoot his head out to peek into the room.

"Callie? The Alpha awaits your presence in his car" He informed and left without waiting for a response.

"The Alpha awaits your presence?" Cody asked, looking puzzled.

"Yeah" I whispered.

Cody squinted his eyes at me "And why the hell does the Alpha..." He trailed off and shook his head "Callie, what did you do?"

"Maybe you should ask the moon goddess for pairing me with someone like Alpha Randall, of all mateless Alphas out there, I had to be mated to Alpha Randall"

Cody gaped at me "Wait. Wait. Wait. You are the Alpha's mate?"

I nodded, trying not to break down at the thought of it.

"When did you find out about that?"

I sucked in a breath "The moment he called me mate using the mind, I got the confirmation that he was the one"

He grinned "Oh, that's hot"

"Hot?" I scoffed, scowling at him "This is not something good Cody. I've heard a lot of things about the alpha and they are not good things"

Cody laughed.

"I'm serious! Can you believe he only agreed to stop the fight if I follow him home. I am going to be staying at the pack house, Cody. A lot of people will bully me, and look at me, I can't even fight a little werewolf and win. I won't be able to defend myself from them"

Cody held my shoulders "No, they won't, the Alpha would not allow that"

I sighed, not believing him one bit.

"Now, you're just gonna go with the Alpha just like that?" He asked with his voice now getting gentle.

"Yeah" I whispered.

"Wow. I still can't believe my sis is the Alpha's mate" Cody said with a soft expression and mild voice, completely forgetting about the cancelled fight. "You are the future Luna"

I wasn't smiling because I wasn't happy about getting mated to someone like Randall, and Cody saw it.

"Hey, Randall is not that bad" He said comfortingly.

I rose my brows.

"Yeah, He's cool, I don't understand why people thinks he is like the devil's little brother" Cody said.

"Because he is" I faced him squarely "He set you up in a death fight just to make me follow him home, doesn't that tell you something?"

"It tells me he is attracted to you, and wants you by his side twenty four seven"

"Oh, Cody" I shook my head "You are so dumb"

"And you're gonna miss my dumbness" He said with a wide smile.

I pouted "I'll miss you"

"Oh, Callie baby" he chuckled and opened his arms for a hug "Come here"

We hugged tightly. I've never been away from Cody, and I've never imagined life without him, but I'm about to live without having Cody near me all because I'm mated to an Alpha. I don't wanna be away from my brother.

"I'll miss you too, baby" He whispered.

This is gonna be hard.

Have you ever felt like disappearing into the car seat because you are scared you might get murdered anytime soon? Well, that's how I feel right now and guess who made me feel that way? The one and only Maniac Alpha I know, Alpha Randall.

Randall and I sat at the backseat of the car, while the driver focused on the road, minding his business.

I've done few things with Randall before, like locking eyes with him, speaking to him using both the mind and verbal communication, but I've never sat close to him before. I felt like we are breathing in the same air at the moment.

He sat with ease while I sat with edginess, taking peeks at him.

"I bet I am so attractive that you won't stop stealing glances at me, huh?" He said with a smirk, keeping his eyes straight.

I swallowed in embarrassment, controlling the urge to take another glance at him. Damn the mate feelings, it's the reason I feel drawn to him and can't keep my eyes away from him. Doesn't he feel the same? I thought this mate thing gives mutual feelings.

I twisted the edge of my shirt, dragging it down in nervousness. He pushed into the entrance of my mind, and I let him in.

'Stop dragging down your shirt, little flower'

I frowned and snapped my head to him 'But, why?'

I know I shouldn't question him, but I did. I hope I don't get killed for the questioning, especially since no one would punish him for it.

'You are showing me the top of your breast'

Looking down, another round of embarrassment turned my face to an overripe tomato.

'Are you trying to seduce me?' He asked, still not looking at me 'It's too early for that'

I quickly freed my hands from my top and place them on my laps, then shut my mind from him.

Till we got to the pack house, none of us uttered a single word. It was just a silent car ride with different thoughts running through my mind, and the annoying thing is, I can't spill them out.

The pack house is a large building with modernized exterior decorations.

I followed the Alpha like a helpless puppy. His strides are long and arrogant. I can see the confidence in the way he walks and observe things, which helps him in handling situations well, especially as an Alpha.

"You walk too slow" He complained.

Dickhead. He walks too fast and makes it hard for me to keep up with him.

We entered the house. The beauty in the interior shows the frequent renovation it undergoes.

Some werewolves were sitting on the ground playing different games, while some were on the sofa, talking and laughing about God knows what. The moment they noticed our presence, all actions stopped. They acknowledged the Alpha respectfully and he gave a slight nod, then they noticed me, standing behind the Alpha. They directed questioning stares at me which made me drop my gaze to the ground.

Alpha Randall wallked through the hallway and turned to the direction of a particular door. He opened it and I was amazed when I found out the door led to another building entirely.

We entered the building, and it feels like the Alpha's real territory. There are few busy people here unlike the other side where everyone sits around lazily.

Here, there are serious looking people, walking around busily, doing one thing or the other.

A white skinned girl climbed down the stairs with a big smile on her face. I assessed her briefly from head to toe. She is attractive and looks calm with her beautiful white hair swinging around.

"Hey" She stopped directly in front of Randall who looks like he doesn't give a shit about her smiles and existence.

"Ana, make her comfortable" Randall ordered the white lady.

The lady finally noticed me. She smiled at me. "Hi, my name is Ana, and you are...?"

Before I could utter an answer, Randall did.

"She's my mate, so make sure you take good care of her" He said authoritatively.

Ana narrowed her eyes at me "You are his mate?"

"Uhm...I guess I am" I answered timidly.

Randall rolled his eyes "You guess?"

Ana turned to Randall "I thought you said you are not destined to have a mate" she whispered harshly.

He shrugged "That's what I thought too, until I met her"

Ana opened her mouth to say something, but Randall never gave her chance. He spoke up before she could utter a single word.

"I don't want questions" He said firmly.

"But..."

"Take my mate to her room now!" He ordered harshly pointing to the staircase.

I flinched at the tone of his voice. Goodness, Randall is just so rough.

Ana frowned at me "Follow me"

She began to climb up the stairs with speed that I found it hard to keep up with her. When I reached the front of the room I would be using, I was panting like a human that ran a marathon race.

She opened the door and we both entered.

"This is your room, and you have everything you need here" she said coldly.

This girl doesn't seem to like me that much, and she is not making an effort to hide it.

A sound like a car horn rang throughout the building, making me furrow my brows in confusion.

"Randall and his meetings" Ana muttered, rolling her eyes. She turned around to leave but I stopped her with my question.

"What's going on?" I asked.

She turned her body to me "You wanna know what that sound means? It means the Alpha wants everyone's presence in the meeting room"

My lips parted "Oh"

"In five minutes" she added.

I was about to give a nod, but when I processed her sentence again, I frowned instead "Five minutes?"

"And if you don't show up..." she continued with hard eyes "Mate or not, he's gonna punish you"

Oh.

That definitely sounds like what the alpha would do.
