Chapter 2 2. Feeling Strangeness

"Are you sure, Angel?"

Angel was seen standing in front of a large mirror while carrying a black dress, a heavy sigh could be heard coming from her lips. "I don't know, but I can't go back anymore?"

"Why not?" Bella is seen lying relaxed on the bed with Angel's favorite plain white sheets.

"I will look even more like a loser if I refuse that strange young man's invitation," answered Angel as he landed his buttocks roughly on the edge of the bed.

"Ah yes, but he's very handsome." Bella immediately moved to sit over to Angel. "Where do you know him?"

"I only met him on the campus grounds when he was asking for science class."

"Angel Matthew..."

Angel turned his head with a frown when he heard his friend's strange tone. "What?"

"Are you sure you want to give up your virginity to that strange young man?" Bella asked while sticking her index finger on Angel's open arm. "Are you ready, Angel?"

"Stop your nonsense, Bell." Angel slapped the girl's hand roughly, then stomped his feet as he stood up. "I'm still going out tonight, and I'm going to show that bastard Calvin Klein that I can be a wild and seductive girl."

Angel immediately took off her clothes without hesitation, leaving only a triangle of cloth covering her virgin core. She started to wear the long black dress that she had been holding onto for a long time. The simple dress had an open back and was only decorated with fragile straps that were intertwined with each other.

"Wow... you look seductive, Miss Matthew," Bella praised with wide eyes behind the big glasses she was wearing.

"Thank you for the compliment Bella, but now you better help me style my hair," replied Angel with a sharp look.

"Okay, my darling. Now sit here." Bella patted the side of the bed in front of her.

Angel complied, he landed on his buttocks again with his eyes looking straight at the large mirror in front of him.

"Which do you think is more challenging, that strange young man or Calvin Klein?" Bella asked with her hands moving deftly to tie some of Angel's hair back.

Instantly Angel's brain flashed back to the memory of his meeting with the pale-skinned young man. It couldn't be denied that the young man had a perfect facial structure, but she felt that there was another aura that was quite frightening behind that good looks.

"Didn't you hear me, Angel?"

"He smells very good," answered Angel with a dreamy look, "and very cold."

"What do you mean by very fragrant and very cold?" Bella frowned deeply.

Angel blinked rapidly to regain his focus. "I don't know, but I could smell a very fragrant aroma coming from his body, I don't think I've ever smelled any man's perfume like that. One more thing, when I touched him... he felt so cold."

"Could he be a vampire?" Bella asked suddenly.

"What?!" shouted Angek, turning his head quickly reflexively. "You are crazy?!"

Bella laughed maniacally. "I'm just kidding, Angel... why are you taking it seriously?"

Angel was just about to reply again when suddenly the door to his room opened, revealing a woman who was none other than his mother.

"Angel, a young man is coming to pick you up."

Instantly Angel's body stiffened, suddenly feeling unreasonable nervousness. Even though previously he didn't seem to care who he would make love with tonight, because his goal was only to prove himself.

"Why did you never tell Mommy that you have a close friend as handsome as that, Angel?" said Mrs. Matthew.

"She's just an ordinary friend, Mom," answered Angel nonchalantly, then grabbed the clutch and kissed her mother briefly on the cheek. "I'm leaving, and don't wait for me to get home!"

Angel half-ran down the stairs of his house, kept walking until he reached the terrace of the house. He froze for a moment, staring at the pale-skinned young man who was also wearing an all-black suit like himself. "Very handsome," Angel muttered to himself.

"Ready to go?"

The question made Angel's head nod subconsciously. He stepped behind the young man, and could again smell the fresh aroma when the wind blew.

However, he suddenly fell silent when his eyes saw a luxury car parked right in his driveway. "This is... your car?"

"Come in."

"Did you rent it?"

"Is that important?"

Angel snorted loudly, starting to dislike the arrogant attitude of the strange young man. He landed his buttocks roughly on the car seat, waiting until the young man sat beside him.

"Erick Cullen."

"Huh what?" Angel turned his head with a frown.

"Erick Cullen is my name. I think you should know, because I like hearing girls scream my name in bed, including you later."

Instantly Angel's body froze, reflexively folding his lips tightly when he felt a hot tingle just because of that sentence. She chose to turn her face out of the car window, not wanting Erick to see her face which was definitely blushing.

"Why do you want to give up your virginity?"

The question reflexively made Angel turn around again. "Because the status of a virgin in America is a disgrace."

"Stupid."

"What?!" Angel shouted with his eyes narrowed sharply, especially when he saw the mocking smile on the young man's lips. "You insult me?!"

"We have arrived."

"Are you kidding?" Angel smiled crookedly as if he couldn't believe it, but he was stunned when he found that the car they were in was parked in front of the party venue.

"Gosh... how is that possible?" Angel's face still looked disbelieving, because he felt like he had only been out of his house for a few minutes.

"Come out."

Again, Angel was confused again when Erick suddenly opened the car door in just the blink of an eye.

"Are you going to keep daydreaming?"

Angel blinked and shook his head quickly, trying to get rid of all kinds of suspicions that were currently screaming at each other in his head. She immediately got out of the car, looking resigned when Erick's hand began to hug her waist possessively.

They entered the party venue, and were immediately greeted by loud music and dazzling flashing lights. Angel, who had never visited a nightclub, immediately felt uncomfortable with all the things around him at the moment.

"You don't like it?"

"Just a little uncomfortable," answered Angel with a grimace.

"Then we'll get out of here."

"To the man-" Angel's sentence suddenly stopped when suddenly his lips were silenced by the young man's lips. Angel reflexively closed his eyes, enjoying Erick's cold lips which began to kiss every inch of his lips.

Everything felt strange, there was a sweet taste that he really liked coming from the man's lips. Angel even felt like he didn't want to let go, and instead returned Erick's kiss, no less passionately. However, suddenly the young man pulled his lips away, making Angel feel lost.

"Ready for tonight?"

The question tickled Angel's ear, making her eyes open again. He wanted to answer, but what was around him at the moment made him freeze, because it turned out they were in a strange room with a scary atmosphere.

"Where are we? How can that be?"

"It's my room."
