Chapter 4 Big mistake

Sonia pov

I dropped the food on the table and taking a seat close to Irane who was putting on a very milk dress and a pair of blue jeans , she smiled adjusting her seating position

" My dear, go and eat, aunty needs to eat too"

I said while helping Oprah get up, she quickly ran into her room

" Big girl"

Irane muttered watching her untill she couldn't see her anymore, even if she never utters the words from her mouth, I Knew she couldn't wait to carry her own child in her hands

" So it's been a month since hunter travelled, how's the house?"

I asked while she chewed her meat

" Boring, you know I don't have children"

She uttered leaving the room quiet, I gave out a little smile just to lighten up the mood

" By the way, don't forget it's Oprah's big three very soon"

I remembered while watching her fair face brighten up

" I know exactly what I'll get that sweet angel of mine"

Irane cheerfully said revealing her dimples, I smiled about sipping some juice when Garry came in along with his friend Richie

" Welcome hon"

I said giving him a peck, I shook Richie's hands, I wasn't actually surprised to see him because it would be Oprah's birthday soon and he was her godfather, neither less Garry may have invited him to stay untill the Dee day

" Welcome"

Ira greeted after everyone settled down

" Ira how's the house?"

Garry asked with all smiles, even if I know sometimes he says we visit each other too much like we're twin's that can't survive without the other, she simply shook her head smiling, I turned to look at Richie who haven't gotten his eyes off Irane since he came in

" You must like my friend alot"

I uttered as he shyly looked away as for Irane she stood up to leave

" I'll get home now, thank you for your warm acceptance"

Irane said as if that was the very first time she was coming over to our house, we excused ourselves while I walked her out.

Ira POV

It's been a month since hunter left for Ghana and the house was quiet, seeing that we don't yet have children, it was only myself, Kate, some soldiers and the gate man. I got home from Sonia's place and went upstairs

" Welcome ma"

Kate said while standing up to get my bag, she walked upstairs and dropped the bag inside the room

" Should I re heat your meal?"

She asked while I shook my head dismissing her from the room, after speaking with hunter for a while I called it a day and went to bed. The next day broke really fast, I ate my breakfast and dashed out of the house for work. My watch clock reminded me it was lunch break as I went to a cafeteria near by to grab some food

" Sorry!"

He said after hitting down my plate, he quickly picked it up and jerked his head up

" Ira right?"

He said while I tried placing his face,

" Richie"

I mumbled while he offered to rebuy my lunch, we sat down opposite each other while waiting for the new food to arrive

" So you're a nurse"

He said as I shook my head smiling, soon the food arrived while we made our selves comfortable with the chewing . After lunch, we had totally jumped into other interesting topics and I nearly missed my shift before a fellow nurse called me up, I stood up smiling while we proposed another friendly date.

Over the weeks Richie and I got really close, he was a chemical engineer and was here for Oprah's birthday because of Garry. I took up my purse going down from my stairs , I got into my car and soon I arrived at the hotel we were meeting

" Hello nurse"

Richie said, he prefers to call me nurse than my name, we shook hands and got seated

" Aren't you ready yet?"

I asked as we had already gotten tickets for a very lovely movie , he wasn't yet dressed I guessed since he was on a casual wear

" Yeah, I was about eating but let me get changed"

He said while making his way into his hotel room

" Please seat"

Richie said as I sat down while he immediately went into his bathroom to change, I looked around the hotel room well designed, the cool music that was playing, the gentle wind that blew the white curtains and the serene sounds that nature made was just so soothing. Richie soon came out but he hadn't put on a shirt

" I think you're seating on my shirt"

Richie said while I made a move to stand up but slipped as we fell on the bed, we stared deeply into each other's eyes, I could feel our lips coming closer but I couldn't stop it, hunter had been away from some time and I was merely a woman. His hands softly took off my clothes and placed me below him, he took off his trousers and made me feel highly happy. The sound of my ringing phone brought me back from sleep world, I looked at Richie still sleeping as I saw hunters call ringing again, I immediately got up putting on my clothes

" Why the rush?"

He asked as he opened his eyes to see me dressing

" This was a mistake, please don't tell a soul, I'm a married woman"

I said with tears while I rushed out of the hotel. I got home soaking my pillow in tears, I couldn't pick nor return any of hunters calls as I felt I had broken our marriage vows.

A few weeks after the unfortunate incident happened, it was Oprah's birthday, I didn't feel like going since that met I would see that guy there but I had to go for the sake of my goddaughter

" Irane!"

Sonia said while watching my face, it was almost the end of the birthday party and I had avoided Richie all through the party

" Yes"

I said smiling and sipping my drink, she stared at me so deep that I followed her eyes to where she was looking at to get the shock of my life

" Irane where's your wedding ring?"

Sonia asked me as if I knew my ring had not been in my fingers for this while, I looked at it while forcing back my tears but it was a futile move as they came flooding down my eyes

" Ira, you know you can tell me anything, what's the problem,are you and hunter not in good terms, has he decided to abandon you because he had seen other women?, Ira tell me what that fo0l did to you"

Sonia snapped annoyed

" Hunter did nothing, I've made a big mistake and now my ring is Missing, how do I explain to hunter?"

I asked her with tears, she came close to me and hugged me tightly

" Slow down dear, please tell me what happened?"

She calmly asked while I began explaining everything and how I may have left my ring in that hotel room, she adjusted her seat and fanned herself as if the house was not air conditioned

" Ok, you go home now, tomorrow we'll go to the hotel and try looking for it"

She assured me as I shook my head and got up, after saying goodbye to Oprah, I walked towards the parking lot, it was really cold outside and as I opened my car doors, I felt a hand cover my nose with a white handkerchief while I lost consciousness.

" Arrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

I muttered struggling to stand up just to find myself naked but I couldn't forget this room, it was Richie's hotel room, I managed to put on my clothes while staggering towards the door but it was locked as I searched for my phone and placed a call to Sonia.
