Chapter 4 Trouble

After class, we were to go to the cafeteria for lunch....I followed Betty to get my food.

While we were gisting and chatting, I mistakenly bumped into one of the three rascals...I muttered a sorry without looking up..

I didn't even know he was the one I hit. I was about stepping away when he pushed me back.

"Hey nerd, didn't u see me?" Ralph asked irritatedly and held my wrist.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you" I said trying to free my hand from his strong hold.

"You still can't see under those thick glasses? What a waste of sperm" he laughed hard and pushed me.

I fell to the floor and landed on my butt, I fringed in pain and swallowed hard...

The students who were passing by started laughing.

Betty pulled me up and dragged me away from the hall.

"This would be the second embarrassment I would be facing today" I screamed as soon as we got to the front of the cafeteria.

"I'm so sorry darling, you just have to make sure u avoid anything like trouble please.... Especially when it comes to those three guys" she said and pulled me into a bear hug.

It's just my first day in school and I'm already feeling like this....how harder could this get?, I thought.

After eating, Betty volunteered to show me round the school.I hurriedly agreed.

Atleast that would take my mind off all the troubles.

She pulled me out and took me to different parts of the school.

The field,the hall, the walkway, and so many other places.

She also explained how the school works...and how fun it is once I don't get into trouble.

I nodded and smiled with her, I was happy she was with me...I wondered who would have been my friend.

When we were done, we strolled back to the hostel.

On getting to the hostel, I met some of my stuffs scattered and disorganized, I looked at Betty and ask if She was the one that touched my stuff.

"We went to class together, so it's not me" she said and looked around the room.

"What's all these happening today?" I said and sighed.

"It seems Tricia is back...she's the only one capable of doing smth like that" she said as she helped me in arranging my stuffs back.

"But why would she do that?, she doesn't even know me yet" I screamed in anger.

Betty smiled and patted my back gently.

"You'll b fine" she said.

After arranging my stuffs back, I decided to go through the notes I wrote in class...after reading for a while.I brought out my cell phone and called my dad.

"Hi dad" I squealed excitedly.

"Hi baby" he replied.

"How's your first day at school? Hope you're having a great time?" He asked.

"Well, not really....probably because it's my first day...I've not gotten used to most of their stuffs yet...but I made a friend though and she has been very nice to me" I explained.

"Oh, that's nice baby, just take care of yourself and remember we love you" he said.

"Thanks dad, I love u too" I replied and ended the call.

I laid down on my bed and slept off
