Chapter 1 the beginning

My name is queen, I'm an orphan. I live with my foster parents.

They've actually been the one taking care of me since I was a kid...they didn't have any children so I'm more like their only child.

We live in a small but comfortable house, with just two rooms, a dining and a sitting room.

I've always been a shy and timid person.

You can say I'm a nerd...lol. But that's just how I am.

I grew up with the talent of songs....I sing a lot but that's when I'm alone or inside the bathroom.

Sometimes I record my songs on my cell phone and transfer it to my laptop.

I just finished elementary school, I already processed my admission into high school.

I can't believe I would be going to the school of my dreams.

My foster parents didn't have much but they strives to make sure they get the money I would be using to enroll in the school.

I woke up one morning, opened my laptop and the first notification I got was that I had been giving admission to Ninkey's high school.

I was so excited..I rushed through my morning prayer, brushed, took my bath and ran out of my room to inform my parents that I had been admitted.

"Mum,dad, guess what?"

I screamed...they both looked at me puzzled and amazed . Prolly because they've never seen me like that before.

"I've been offered admission " I yelled and they both got up to hug me.

"Congratulations my baby" mum said with a wide smile on her face.

"My baby is finally a high school student" my father said and hugged me tightly.

I thanked them both and we settled for breakfast.

After breakfast, I went back to my room, opened my laptop and entered the school site.

I accepted the admission and took a deep breath.

I smiled and closed the laptop, I brought out my notepad and started writing a song I sang in the showers.

"Beautiful, beautiful love.

My love for u is so beautiful,

Please take me in ur arms

And make me yours forever" I hummed and smiled as I kept writing.

I just wished I could have the boldness to sing outside the way I do in my room...I'm just too shy.

I sighed and closed my book....I won't be doing anything for the rest of the day so I decided to start jotting down the things I would need for school.

I went back to check the email the school sent...and I saw that the resumption date was the following week.

"How did I not notice that before?" I thought and started thinking of things I would need to pack along when resuming.

The list was long but atleast I was able to write out everything I needed.

My dad already left for work and my mum was in our little garden tending the flowers...I walked up to her and handed over the list.

She smiled and patted me slowly..she collected the list and promised that they'd make sure they get everything before the due date.

I thanked her and went back inside.

I knew I was about to start a whole new life.
