"I'm not bothered at all, and I don't mind the sound of your stomach either. Am I wrong?" Alex asked without expression.
"No, but it's embarrassing. The more you show that emotionless face, the more it feels like you're mocking me."
Alex nodded in understanding, realizing what Irsya meant. Then he went to the kitchen.
"Where are you going?" Irsya asked.
"You're hungry, so I want to make you some food," Alex said.
Irsya fell silent and let him prepare food for her.
"Alright, I'll wait. Make something delicious for me," Irsya said.
"I'll be right back, wait for me."
Unable to wait any longer, Irsya decided to follow him to the kitchen and watched Alex preparing food for her.
"When you carried me home to the mansion, I had a very beautiful dream," Irsya blurted out.
"A dream?"
"I had a dream, I was tightly embraced by an angel. It felt so warm and secure. I felt so much peace, and the angel protected me so well. Do you think that's normal?" Irsya asked.
Alex remained silent, which only irritated Irsya further.
"I know you won't answer because you don't know the answer. Whatever," Irsya said in frustration.
"There are parts of this world where someone finds a lover as if they found an angel," Alex explained.
"How is that possible?" Irsya asked.
"Not an actual angel, a messenger of God. But a lover who treats you very well and is full of love."
Irsya chuckled and mocked Alex again, "Forget it, I don't have a lover. I don't even know what that is," Irsya replied.
With a neutral expression, neither smiling nor angry, Alex placed a plate on the dining table and offered the food to Irsya.
"Please eat, I will prepare a guest room for you."
Irsya fell silent, she was actually afraid to sleep alone, especially in an unfamiliar place, where she might have trouble falling asleep.
"Can't I sleep in the living room?" Irsya asked.
"What's the matter?"
Irsya answered very nervously, she was embarrassed to admit that she was afraid to sleep alone.
"I don't like the dark."
"I'll turn on all the lights."
Irsya tightly held Alex's hand, her face showing a pitiful and fearful expression. Alex looked at her with confusion.
"Why?" Alex asked.
"Can I sleep in the same place as you?" Irsya asked hesitantly.
Irsya didn't hear Alex's response, she remained silent for several minutes, becoming increasingly frustrated with him.
"Don't stay silent, say something. Don't leave me hanging like this, jerk."
Irsya suppressed her embarrassment, she thought Alex would endlessly tease her and say things that were uncomfortable to hear, but she couldn't sleep alone.
"Don't just stay silent, answer me, Alex!!"
"Okay."
Irsya was startled, feeling both annoyed and confused by Alex's brief response.
"Alex, are you allowing me to sleep with you?" Irsya asked, seeking clarification.
"Yes."
Irsya bit her lip, holding back the embarrassment that was welling up inside her. She felt embarrassed about asking to sleep in the same room as a man who wasn't even anyone to her.
"Don't worry, I won't bother you. I'll sleep on the floor," Alex reassured her.
Alex looked at her again with his flat expression, giving her a gentle pat on the head.
"Finish your meal," Alex said.
Irsya was stunned, Alex had the audacity to ask her to finish her dinner after she had requested to sleep in the same room with him.
"Al-right," Irsya replied.
The girl sat back at the dining table, finishing her dinner while pondering over Alex's confusing behavior.
"Why isn't he mocking me?" Irsya wondered silently.
She continued to recall Alex's face, which made her heart race a bit.
"That jerk probably wants to take advantage of this situation. I won't be fooled by the kindness he's showing."
After finishing her dinner, she approached Alex, who was in his room reading a book. He looked handsome, but for some reason, he didn't appeal to Irsya at all. The girl was puzzled when she saw that there was no bed laid out on the floor.
"Where am I going to sleep?" Irsya asked, confused.
Alex pointed towards the King-size bed, causing Irsya to immediately gasp and cover her chest with both hands.
"N-no way. I can't sleep there."
Alex placed the book he was reading on the table, then approached Irsya, staring into her eyes. This pushed the girl back, and she fell onto the bed.
"Alex has such beautiful eyes, and his lips are so pretty," Irsya murmured, nervously swallowing.
"I'll sleep on the couch, and you can sleep on the bed," Alex said, once again without expression.
Irsya's face turned completely red, and she was furious because Alex, who showed no expression, made her pinch his cheek and play with it like it was slime.
