"Thank you so much, doctor, for examining my beloved. I will take good care of him," the girl said innocently, with bruises on her cheek.
"This might be very difficult for you, but I truly hope you can handle it. Stay strong," the doctor said.
The girl shed endless tears, receiving a light pat on the shoulder from the doctor before he walked away from the patient's room. Meanwhile, the girl entered the room filled with the smell of medicine and the sound of medical devices next to her beloved's bed.
"Darling," she called.
Her name was Irsya. She walked up to her beloved, who could only lie weakly in the hospital bed with a very pale face, making Irsya cry even harder.
"Forgive me, my love. I couldn't take care of you properly, I'm sorry," Irsya said.
Irsya poured out all her sadness and frustration onto herself, thinking that all of this was her fault.
"I'm sure you can get through this, my love. Please, don't make me this sad," Irsya pleaded.
All of this was not Irsya's fault, in fact, she was the one who had been wronged by her beloved. It all began one month ago...
One month ago...
Irsya, a beautiful and innocent girl, had no friends because she was a victim of her father's violence.
"Irsya, come home," the girl had just returned from school and saw her mother having an affair with her lover in her room.
Seeing their struggle, the eighteen-year-old girl was shocked. She never expected to have a mother who would shamelessly engage in an affair in front of her child like this. Irsya's body trembled as she witnessed the betrayal.
"Irsya! Get out of this house!" her mother shouted loudly.
Her mother cruelly pushed Irsya away, forcefully ejecting her from their home in the midst of a stormy rain, leaving the girl in silence, crying.
"Mum, please open the door. I promise I won't tell Dad. Mum, please open the door. It's cold, Mum, it's cold."
The 18-year-old girl had to taste the bitterness of life, witnessing her mother's infidelity in front of her own eyes and now feeling the cold from the rain pouring over her body.
"Mom, please open the door, Irsya begs."
The girl stopped knocking on the door of her home, no matter how loudly she knocked, her mother wouldn't open the door for her. Living in a cramped and densely populated neighborhood filled with low-income residents, this girl didn't want to inconvenience her neighbors. Their beds had to be shared, and adding Irsya would only burden them further.
"Maybe I can sleep in a shop instead," Irsya said.
The eighteen-year-old girl walked under the rain, her tears flowing with the raindrops falling to the ground. She found a shop to take shelter in and sleep.
"Maybe I can take shelter here," Irsya said, lying down in front of the shop, curled up due to the cold.
She cried uncontrollably, she didn't understand why her mother had completely changed towards her after her mother's affair behind her father's back.
"I have to endure tonight. I mustn't pass out," Irsya said through her sobs.
As she neared losing consciousness, Irsya felt warmth on her body. She tried to blink her eyes open and see who was giving her warmth.
"You'll catch a cold if you stay like this. Are you foolish?"
Irsya immediately moved away from him, he was a guy who had always been her rival. A guy Irsya deeply disliked and resented.
"Why are you here? Aren't your parents looking for you? Maybe you ran away from home and are staying at a friend's house!"
Irsya continued to accuse him emotionally, but the guy just remained silent and held Irsya's hand before pushing her away.
"Let go!! What do you want?"
Irsya furrowed her brow, refusing to let him touch her, which prompted the guy to invite her to go home with him.
"Come on, let's go home," he said.
"No, I refuse. I won't go home with you. I'll stay here, rather than with an expressionless guy like you!" Irsya said stubbornly.
"Stubbornness won't benefit you, it'll only harm you."
Irsya clicked her tongue in annoyance and turned her face away from the kind-hearted guy nearby.
"I don't want to listen to your advice. If you want, you can leave!"
The guy remained patient, he put a warm fur jacket on Irsya and then carried her on his back. She had a small body.
"What are you doing? I don't want to go to your house. Don't act like a pervert, I don't like you, Alex."
"Alex, okay, today you can call me Alex. Before that, I was Jony, and two days ago, I was Andri," he said with a laugh.
Irsya hugged herself, feeling the warmth that made her incredibly relaxed, slowly drifting off to sleep on Alex's back.
"She has a fever, I'll take care of her tonight."
A man named Alex took Irsya to his home, which was in a completely different complex from Irsya's, quite a distance away. Alex lived in an upscale complex that was in stark contrast to Irsya's neighborhood. Alex arrived at his mansion, opening the door to reveal his very quiet home, as his parents worked abroad, and he chose not to hire a maid because it was too much trouble. He placed Irsya on his bed, gently holding her forehead, which felt very hot.
"She has a fever, I'll get a compress from the kitchen."
Alex fetched a compress while Irsya was still unconscious. In her dream, she saw an angel holding her tightly and protecting her. This made Irsya's heart race, and she found herself falling for the angel. Suddenly, she felt something on her forehead, and she slowly opened her eyes to see Alex applying the compress.
