Chapter 7 Not Back

Alexander looked at the one person at the end of the street. The man was wearing a thick coat with a scarf because of the cold air that seized him. Not much different from himself who was wearing all black clothes as well as a thick jacket of the same color. His feet began to step with the figure there who was still waiting for a pickup along a very quiet street.

The eagle eyes never stopped looking at the figure there with both hands in the jacket pockets. He smiled with an epic plan that he had been planning since he came to this place. The figure there, one more person who had taken away his happiness as a child. Who had made him lose the two people he loved and cared for so much.

The sound of an empty can being deliberately kicked made the figure there turn his head. A pained face was clearly visible in the eyes of Alexander who covered his face with a mask and hat until leaving only the eyes faint. Alexander got closer and the figure of the man who looked confused. As if he already understood what would happen next.

"Don't come any closer! I know I'm guilty, but please don't involve me this time, I really didn't intend to and was only obeying orders."

Alexander covered his ears and walked closer and stopped right in front of the man who was now dropping his body. Pleading with all due respect to be able to get an apology from alexander, but the man even just stares flatly. Alexander continued to look at the man beneath his feet who continued to apologize but he wouldn't even accept and death must be avenged. Such is the true law.

"I'm just obeying orders because if I don't then my work will also disappear. Please forgive me. I'm really guilty and I don't know what to decide but to go with them."

Alexander smiled a little behind the mask he wore. Them? There are still many that Alexander hasn't met and out of all of them, they will still get the same treatment. Namely, they both have to die.

Alexander pulled out a pistol from his pants pocket, which did not go unnoticed by the man at his feet. The old man looked very frightened with his body slowly backing away. Trying to avoid Alexander to protect himself from the horrible things that would happen. Meanwhile, Alexander began to step closer to the man and the man who continued to try to walk backwards.

"No... please forgive me."

Alexander stared intently at the man who was retreating further. He kept shaking his head so as not to receive anything bad from Alexander who played with his gun as he continued to walk closer to him. The man continued to shake his head with visions of the bad things that would happen to him. He was not ready to die. He was not ready to lose his life like what had happened to John. He couldn't die like that or even more horribly.

Dorr!

The sound of bullets being fired into the air scared the man even more and he couldn't help but run. Alexander smiled sarcastically as he continued to follow where the man ran with his steady steps. There was no one on the streets and certainly no one who could save the old man. Alexander was getting more and more satisfied with the selection of a good place to act.

"Run and I'll find you anyway."

Alexander's clear voice made the old man run in all directions. He didn't want to see Alexander again especially since the shadow of his death made his movements even more pronounced. He had already said he was sorry about the past events that haunted him. The murder of the couple and the few people who laughed afterward. No, that image made her in pain with her steps becoming unsteady.

Dorr!

Another gunshot made the old man realize that time was running out. He was tired of running but turning himself in was out of the question. He didn't want to betray his boss but the gun Alexander was carrying was no joke either. He was confused by two choices that were so difficult to decide at the moment. The world seemed to be playing with his life.

Alexander smiled wryly after seeing the man falling on the road with irregular breathing. His steps were getting closer to the old man who was now flustered to find an opening for avoidance. Shortly after that, a truck came at a high speed and ....

Brak!

Alexander looked down at the body lying on the road with a lot of blood starting to pool. Yes... the old man had been hit by a truck that had just passed by with Aelxander five meters in front of him. It was clear that the body had floated before finally falling on the road with blood coming out of several parts.

Alexander approached after putting his gun back away. Standing right next to the old man's dead body with a sardonic smile behind the mask he wore. The old man's tired face was clearly visible even though parts of his face were soiled with blood.

"Goodbye, Mr. Robert."

Alexander chuckled afterwards. His eyes gazed intently at the lying body before finally starting to move away. Leaving the old man alone with the life he had lost. The day was done with the reality that had gone according to plan. Tomorrow was going to be even more exciting with Alexander's target people also following the previous two, including Jeremy and Victoria later on. Alexander couldn't wait for that day.

Meanwhile at home, Kimbeerly continued to wait for Alexander's return. She occasionally looked at the clock that kept changing every moment but Alexander never came. It was already two in the morning but her husband was nowhere to be seen. A worried Kimbeerly took out her cell phone to call Alexander and ask him where he was.

Several calls went unanswered. Kimbeerly's messages hadn't even been read since this afternoon. Exactly where was Alexander to ignore his cell phone. News is so important to Kimbeerly especially after the incident of Alexander being suspected by the whole family after John's death. She didn't want Alexander to make a mistake for his actions that would get the man in trouble. Although Kimbeerly believed in everything Alexander did, but the worry about people thinking badly of the man also occupied Kimbeerly's attention.

"Where are you, Alexander? Don't you know I'm very worried about you? Hurry back or at least give me some news."

Kimbeerly couldn't relax because she hadn't heard anything from Alexander. The man was really able to make her unable to not think about him, whether it was about being happy or just the opposite. Kimbeerly just hopes Alexander will come back soon so she can calm down again.

The sound of an incoming message made Kimbeerly immediately look at her cell phone. It was Alexander telling her that he was working overtime and not coming home. The reason he didn't answer the phone was because he went out to pick up some file packages sent by his coworkers.
