Chapter 5 An Empty Threat

The next day, Xiu Xiao had been busy since the Second Master Zhu Jingyi had came. Fang Hou dare not to look at her but could only curse in her mind. Fang Han and her daughter, Fang Hou held grudges against Xiu Xiao ( but it was when Xiu Xiao was out of sight).

Seeing that the head maid and her daughter held resentment against Xiu Xiao, someone decided to befriend them and go against her in secret.

Little did Xiu Xiao know that she had already made enemies. So many people were against her but not many people dared to trifle with her since she had a very strong back up. They would only mind their business.

Butler Yang who had feelings for Xiu Xiao long ago also decided to know his limit. He was older than her but he wanted to marry her. Xiu Xiao was unaware of his feelings all she wanted was to save up money and live a peaceful life.

Father Xiu in the outskirts of his town had been under the pressure of their town Mayor. He forced him to look for Xiu Xiao, his supposed mistress.

In the past, Father Xiu was ill and Xiu Xiao was the only one who catered for him. He owed debts and the people he owed threaten to take all his property left. The money she gave him was small and wasn't enough. Then their town Mayor came into the picture. He was a middle aged man with many wife and mistress. He had always longed for her since Xiu Xiao was born. Then he decided to use the opportunity.

He gave a free offer that is, he would make Xiu Xiao his mistress and he would pay all his debt and sickness. In their town, everyone considered their town Mayor as the richest, no one knew about A city district. Father Xiu couldn't let such an opportunity disappear, he quickly agreed. He schemed a plan to make her come back home but before he could make a motive, he found out that she had already knew about it from the blabbermouthed neighbors.

Then the Mayor started to pressure hin to look for Xiu Xiao or else he might not spare him.

Father Xiu was afraid of loosing his life, so threatened her to come back home.

Back to present,

Xiao was in her room when her phone rang. She was a little busy but the phone rang insistingly that she felt a little disturbed to pick it.

Checking the number , she realized it was an anonymous caller.

She picked it and kept quiet on the other end of the line.

"Hello Little Xiao!"

The only person that called her that way was her father. She felt disappointed again and kept quiet.

"I know you are listening to me! You better come back home!"

"I can't come back!"

"You.. ungrateful brat! everything I did for you was for your own betterment! How can you do this to me! You're the same as your mother!"

"That's none of my business! thanks for calling!"

"You.."

The call ended.

At the other side, Father Xiu angrily threw his phone and stomped on the pieces.

"How dare she! she has become really brazen" he thought.

"What will I do now! I don't want to die yet! I must get her by all means!" He concluded in his mind and slumped on the bed in the pool of thought.

In the Zhu's Enterprise, since their master was back, no one could rest a bit. All the employees have been easily fired because of their Boss bad temper. His temper became worst as each minutes pass by. People knew something was wrong that was why he wasn't in a good mood.

Each of the workers had a presentation and most of them were not ready. They thought he would still take sometime before he resume as the CEO. But he unexpectedly came. Some who had prepared made a little mistake and was fired instantly. They workers shivered feeling the dark vibes from him. Despite looking at his handsome face, they still feared. They wished an angel to come to save them.

That day, most of the Zhu's Enterprise workers were fired and new ones were allowed. No one wished for such a day to come again. The fired workers were left with nothing as they went back to their home sadly and planned to look for another job.

It went all over the M Nation news that Zhu Jingyi was back after so many years. The M Nation citizens were happy. They had problem with their economic stability since he left. The people that represent him were making things difficult for the commoners. Now that he is back, things would become normal.

After realizing the citizens complaints, Zhu Jingyi fired the people that represent him during his business trips overseas.

After the Mayor realized that the last attempt to bring her failed. He threatened Father Xiu to bring back Xiu Xiao or else he will lose his life and property. That was his last threat and he gave him few days to bring her back. Father Xiu was left with nothing. He was afraid of dying. In their town the Mayor was a very dangerous and evil man. If he made a decision, he would always do it. Father Xiu was already having a second thought to run away. But their town Mayor was as sly as a fox. He started to regret everything. Maybe if the sickness killed him, he wouldn't fear to die.

Or if he managed Xiu Xiao money, things wouldn't be scary as this. Regret filled his mind.

With the few days he had left, he decided to go to M Nation busy cities to find her before their town Mayor kills him.

The town Mayor didn't trust him, he sent some of his bodyguards to follow him if he does anything bad. He left Xiu Xiao brother behind.
