Chapter 4 Bringing back old memories

Xiu Xiao walked back to the maids's quarter but was quickly stopped by Fang Han, the head maid. "Come here!" Fang Han said as if she was talking to a five year old child. Xiu Xiao pursed her lips but couldn't talk back. Older people loved oppressing the younger ones with their age, even if they were wrong, She didn't want to be disrespectful. She reluctantly walked towards her as Fang Hou appeared behind her mother. She looked at Xiu Xiao as if saying "I have catched you today, I wonder how you will escape".

"You had disrespected my daughter and you will have to apologize".Fang Hou made a sound of affirmation.

"You heard her right? Apologize!" Fang Hou said sarcastically with oppression.

"I'm sorry but I can't apologize because she started it first, you should have taught your daughter manners on how to talk, maybe she wouldn't have been this blabbermouthed"

How dare she!, Fang Han boiled with anger. Is she trying to say she never taught her manners? She is so uncouth!

"At least, she is not like you who grew up without a mother"

"You're right! I still have manners unlike her who lacked manners but has a mother"

Was she insulting her indirectly ? She was becoming much more brazen every day.

"Apologize or else!"

"Or else what!, you want to hit me, go ahead! Is it not shameful to help your daughter fight, why don't she come herself, is she afraid?"

Fine! If you don't apologize, you would be fired soon"

"Are you the one that would fire her?" A chilly voice echoed in the maids's quarter.

Zhu Jingyi appeared as he looked more dashing and handsome but cold and dangerous. Fang Hou began to adjust herself making her skirt more skimpy. Zhu Jingyi eyes swept over her but remained on the shivery head maid. Fang Hou face sank but still put a brighter expression.

Xiu Xiao watched her, feeling somewhat jealous. It shouldn't be her getting jealous, it should be Mei Su. Hmph! It is his fault for being too handsome. Even the maids are drooling over him! But he couldn't be bothered with them.

"Answer my question!" He said a little angry as his voice became louder. The maids around there were frightened to the core. They hardly see him get angry and anytime he is angry with the workers, someone must definitely be fired. They pitied their head maid" it was all because of Xiao" some thought. They couldn't voice it out because it seems their Second Master Zhu was on her side. Anyone who goes against her seems to go against him. In the future they must respect her always. They wondered what kind of trick, Xiu Xiao is using to draw rich people close.

"I-I never meant it Sir"

"I came here to check the maids's quarter but, I found out that the head maid was intimidating a fellow maid because of a trivial matter, do you serve good examples?"

Unable to say anything, a bodyguard behind him raised his hand and hit her face hard because she was unable to answer. It left a long tingling pain. He exerted much force that she began to bleed. Her face had turned super red and had swollen painfully. She fell on her knees as she held her red cheek. Fang Hou began to feel pity for her mother. Her mother have never been slapped before. She couldn't interfere or else she would get slapped too. She only watched from the side helplessly.

"Now, do you?" He asked with a sinister smile.

"I don't Sir" she replied.

"Good, I hope this doesn't repeat it self" he said to everyone present. He took last look at Xiu Xiao and then he left. No one dared to look at Xiu Xiao the same way they did in the past.

The way Zhu Jingyi did made the people present got frightened of the bad side of Zhu Jingyi. It wouldn't be good if Zhu Jingyi shows his true bad side. No one was looking forward to see such a scene again. Well, the head maid was lucky that Zhu Jingyi didn't fire her. They wondered what Xiu Xiao is doing to this rich people. They mostly took her side. Some secretly wished to be like her.

In Fang Han's room, the head maid had been shivering all because of the slap. It swelled up at the side making her look hideous. Touching it made it hurt and swell up. She dare not try it again.

"Get me some ice" Fang Han yelled angrily at Fang Hou in serious pain. Fang Hou ran quickly to get ice.

"Here is it mum" she said giving her the ice. Fang Han grabbed it from Fang Hou as she placed it on her swelled cheek. She felt relieved a little.

"It is all your fault I'm going through this"

"Sorry mum, there's a day that bitch would soon be fired'

"I hope so because she is giving too much problems"

In Xiu Xiao room, she wondered why Zhu Jingyi took her side. She was still angry with him and he as acting like nothing had ever happened in the past. Maybe she should be a little harsh and distant with him. No one knows that Second Master Zhu has a past relationship with their youngest maid.

Xiu Xiao remembered how he usually side her in the past. His visit brought back old memories. She felt hurt that he was with another woman. He didn't even take it seriously. She wasn't happy at all. Maybe she should give him up at least she can never be with him.

While Xiu Xiao thinks about him, Zhu Jingyi thinks about her. He felt lonely and he wished those bad things had never happened in the past. Maybe they would be a couple or even had their second child. He had yearned for her. He had his reasons for doing those things.
