Chapter 4 Training

When we got to the training grounds I kept my eyes on the guys as they tried to distract me from my murderous thoughts. We walked in smiling and laughing while I was headed to the locker room on the far side of the field to change into my basketball shorts and take off my shirt. The guys stayed close not wanting to leave me alone so Reggie could talk to me or do something. I knew they were in a difficult position because the packs were friends and I shouldn't disrespect the Gamma of Crimson Moon pack.

I switched into my shorts quickly and left my shirt on adding my long-sleeved black jacket that had The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus band on it in red. When I walked out the guys smiled as Tyler and Sam linked arms with me on both my sides while Nick walked behind me. " We need to greet the Alpha and Crimson Moon pack members so just squeeze us and please try to keep your attitude to a minimum. " Sam said in my ear that only the four of us could hear. " Okay. " I whispered knowing they could hear me. When we approached I decided to keep my eyes on the Alpha and Luna completely. " Hello, welcome to the New Moon pack. We hope the journey was not too bad. " Tyler said exchanging handshakes with all of the members. The guys started banter until the Alpha's son and Gamma walked up to the group. I just stiffened and didn't dare look at them so I let the guys go and turned to go stretch but then shook hands with the Alpha and Luna. " I am gonna start stretching then I will run around while you guys talk. It is a pleasure to meet you, Alpha Perry and Luna Mary, I am Rosa Caruso. " I walked off after they smiled at me. It wouldn't seem rude since I am human and really have no need to be there with no title. I was stretching in the back of the field when some warrior guys walked up and smiled at me. I got up and hugged them as we always train as our own group. " I see your buddy Kyle is making sure everyone knows you are still single. " Casper as I call him laughed out. " Yeah, yeah it's his way of getting me out there. " I just smiled as Chris hugged me from behind and lingered. He has told me he wished I was his mate and I said since I am not we can't do anything but he was always down to cuddle and make me feel loved. " I missed you. You just stopped coming. " I stopped coming to heal from what happened with me and Reggie. " I had some stuff going on at the shop. " I just shrugged and said as I was getting ready to run but he was still on me like a backpack. " We backpacking it? " I asked with a smirk. " I have no doubt you could carry him, Oni. " Casper said. Chris chimed in with a challenge. " I say $50 bucks she couldn't even do one lap with me backpacking her. " I huffed and then shook their hands. Chris got ready hugging me tighter. He was smaller but still really strong and big. I took off when Casper said 3 and was doing terrible but could not lose. Casper and Derrick were running backward in front of me laughing. Chris was laughing and I heard the guys and Crimson Moon pack joining in as well. I was nearly crawling when I reached the end and Chris hopped off once I passed the imaginary line which threw me off balance and I just fell to my knees breathing hard. Casper picked them up and put me on the bench handing me some cold water. " You did good and won $50. " I chuckled and took the money from them sliding it in a zipper pocket on my shorts. " That was hot. " Derrick said looking down at the ground. " Wanna run laps with me guys? " They all nodded their heads and helped me up. We ran laps which sucked a lot because now I was in pain as my muscles screamed at me to stop.

" We will be training with the Crimson Moon pack today! I want everyone to be welcome and open. Alpha Perry and his Luna Mary will be meeting with Alpha Zane and Luna Vanessa while everyone is training. " Everyone stopped where they were and what they were doing to listen to Tyler give instructions. " You guys may find a partner from the Crimson Moon pack and start when you are ready. " Sam said as he looked at Reggie with a glare. Oh, I get it, they are going to be paired up by rank since they have titles. Sam will fight against their Beta Zed, Nick will fight with Gamma dickhead and Tyler will go against uh wait I haven't even figured out who the next Alpha is for their pack. I am stopped in my thoughts as a guy comes up to me and puts his hand out. " I am Ricky. Wanna be partners, human? " He had a deep voice and if it wasn't for that fucking human comment I might have wanted to jump his bones. " You may call me Rosa, Wolfie. " I shot back with an uninterested tone and did not shake his hand. " Let's start. I like the nickname by the way. " He said taking his stance with his fist blocking and then chuckled when I just took some steps back and didn't take a stance. " Let's. " As if that was the signal he took a few steps to me to throw a right hook that I barely dodged. I managed a left hook on his shoulder because he blocked but he was like steel and it hurt. I swallowed my pain and then went for a right hook when he caught my right hook and twined his arm in mine then closed the distance and just stared me in the eyes. He was too close he could kiss me without meaning to if he just leaned in. My heart started to race and I knew I was going to blush so I did the most logical thing. I head-butted the hell out of him with all my strength and I think I broke his nose. He loosened me and stepped back glaring at me. " I was gonna release you, I just got stuck in your eyes. You didn't think you would do that though. " I smirked but I could feel the blood trickling down my forehead. I ignored it because no pain no gain right? " Come on. " He looked like he wasn't gonna pull his punches and then he ran towards me. I tried to move to the right but he tackled me and it hurt so much I yelped like a girl when my head hit the ground. He straddled me and then smirked at me. I struggled to get him off but failed. He looked at me and I was able to punch him in his gut when he punched me straight in the face into the ground. " Should have trained harder." He pulled his punch for sure but it still hurt. He got off and then threw his hand out to help me up but before he could someone pushed him back and grabbed me. Now I was the one straddling someone slung over their body like a front backpack. I wasn't focusing but when I was set down in the locker room on the bench and a cold water bottle was set on my forehead I started to come back slowly. " What the hell was his problem? " I heard someone say. " I don't know, he's getting a talking to from the Alpha's son. He looked beyond pissed. " Another voice said. " You should have been with the weakest guy, not the strongest Oni!" A higher-pitched voice said. " I... I can't think right now." I stuttered out and my voice sounded weak which made me wince. I hate being weak let alone sounding weak. " I am fine. " I said after clearing my throat. Someone ran in and came to hold my face in their hand basically throwing the person who had the water bottle to my forehead. " YOU ARE STUPID. " I smirked upon hearing his deep voice. " Oh sweetie, you know just what to say to me. " I could hear some chuckles but he was just staring at me. " I will be fine. " He gave a sarcastic laugh. " You are done. You are going to sleep and then I will follow you home to make sure you are okay. " I slumped. " I am okay guys, really. I will take you up on the sleep though. " I could hear the guys talking but I think I was blacking out.

I woke up in a really comfy bed snuggled up to a pillow that now had my blood on it. I didn't wanna get up and I didn't care to. Since I wasn't allowed to train I wanted to just stay here and wallow in my despair. I heard a click and assumed someone must have come in but I didn't move. Zero came in to view and handed me some water then sat down on the edge of the bed. " I am gonna follow you home when you are ready. I am sorry my pack member took it too far. " I smiled. " It's okay. It's good practice. In a fight, the other person isn't gonna take it easy on me. He was pulling his punches. " He chuckled and then looked away. " Who grabbed me from the ground though? Who brought me in here? " Zero looked at me then back at the floor and I noticed his cheeks were a shade of red. " Tyler grabbed you so I could talk to my guy and then I was the one to carry you here. Everyone is worried about you and Ricky feels bad. " I smiled and Zero seemed upset. " Ricky. Ricky has a nice voice. If he let me win that match I would have hated him. He's the only one who showed me the true strength difference between us humans to you wolves. " Zero stood up and walked to the door before turning to me and asking in a low, pissed-off voice. " You like Ricky? " I chuckled then stopped when my head disagreed and started to throb. " He's good to look at and has a nice voice. No, I don't know the guy jeez man. He has amate out there for him, I wouldn't do that. " Zero relaxed I noticed and then left without another word. The next person to come in was Ricky. He smiled at me and was sporting a couple of bruises on his face and a busted lip I knew they weren't from me. " Looks like I got you good. " He sat on the chair that was opposite the bed I was in. " No, Alpha Thaddius was not happy. I hear you like my voice. " I sat up and then groaned. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom noticing the bruise on my face and around my forehead a bandage. " I look, rad man. " I chuckled to myself then headed to the door. " I do like your deep voice but that's it. " He smirked at me and stopped behind me. " You are attractive and a sin. I have a mate out there and I heard you respect that very much even as a human. I would like to be friends with you. " I stuck my hand out for his and when he took it I smiled and then opened the door. " Friends then. " I went to grab my stuff but the guys were sitting on the bottom of the stairs. " We will take your stuff. You just ride your bike. " I heard Tyler say and I just nodded. " Okay, Let's go then. " I hugged Luna Nessa and Alpha Zane goodbye. I was surprised when Sam, Nick, and Tyler got in Tyler's Range Rover, and Zero with Ricky got on their Harleys. I got on my bike and started off checking behind me every now and again. I pulled up and Andrew had the gate wide open for us. Lucky dicks with their mind links and wolf shit. When I stepped off Andrew came running out and then pushed me back and when I almost fell he grabbed me and hugged me. " You are so stupid and I love you! " I chuckled and rubbed his back. " I am okay. I am still here. " Zero and Ricky got off their bikes to grab my bag, and my clothes then say bye to New Moon pack. I went over and hugged each of them through the window. " I will see you guys tomorrow. " They all nodded and left. I looked at Ricky then Zero. " Ya'll headed out? " Andrew ushered them into the house and started yelling. " No, I need some guy time! " I smirked and then headed to my room. I put my stuff down then went to the kitchen and made a sandwich. I was sitting out back smoking a cig when Ricky came out and sat next to me. " Mind if I steal some? " I handed my already lit cig to him and he took a couple of drags. " I am sorry, Rosa. " I nodded. " If we are friends call me Oni. People only call me Rosa if they are mad at me or enemies. " He chuckled. " Oni? Okay. I like it. " I nodded and put out my cig then cleaned my plate when I heard all the boys file in the kitchen. " We are gonna go to a party. I will be back. The guys are gonna crash here so put clothes on in the morning. " The guys turned to Andrew with wide eyes and I laughed knowing I don't walk around naked. " Don't talk about yourself like that. " I stuck my tongue out and he gave me a hug. " They might wanna see it but I don't. " The guys both turned a cute shade of pink and wouldn't look at me. " Yeah, I bet. " I went to bed after they left telling them to be safe and wrap their willies. I will never forget their faces that were red as tomatoes which put me in a good mood. So I need to train harder and become better so I can rematch Ricky. I have a new goal. I graduate soon so my schedule will be more open. I will figure something out with the shop and help New Moon out. They have always been the best help when I needed it and should do what I can to assist them. I heard a knock and headed down to open it thinking the guys forgot something or maybe New Moon wanted to check on me again. When I opened it and saw it was Reggie I froze not being able to even breathe. I am alone and my abusive ex is here. This is not gonna be good.
