Chapter 9 Nine

According to the story of the elders, there is a fairy that lives in the L River and whoever sees it will surely die because the fairy does not want to show its ugly face but Edward does not believe in those things because for him everything is just fiction. Inspector Salazar approached him quietly with his arms crossed "Have you found some evidence?" asked the inspector because they couldn't get any CCTV footage from this part because it was damaged and it was also quite dark where Myrus Kang's body was found.

Edward just shook his head, "It's not like it's clean to always work with a killer, have they found some marks on his body too?" the detective asked him and Inspector Salazar nodded in response, they both released a deep sigh because this time their suspicion grew even stronger. "This is surely not a coincidence, Detective Yoon. My gut feeling was telling me that only one person is behind what is happening." the woman started if they think that the killer seems to have a pattern and it just so happened that the victims only attended the same high school. "And we know that," she added causing the detective to take a back.

That person won't probably get up from his grave then do these things and get his revenge. "If he's the one you're referring to, maybe we need to be careful especially since we don't know who's next," he said, he shouldn't think about himself first because if that demon is real, Sirius will be the first to be affected by it. "Looks like you're busy," Julius muttered because to surprise the two, the reporter was in his usual attire for work as he wore gloves so he couldn't move inside the crime scene.

A smile painted on his lips as he approached them, Inspector Gwendolyn Salazar rolled her eyes when she saw him. "Juls, what are you doing here?" Edward asked his friend because he didn't even send a message that he was coming here while the inspector excused herself to continue looking for evidence. "News Flash, this scoop was given to me, I missed Custudio," he joked then gave the woman next to Edward a little look, nothing changed at all. "Come on help us investigate here." the detective said nothing, and the reporter approached the inspector.

"Hi Gweny, how are you?" he asked and the girl looked at him. "I'm fine, we're here at work, so you should cut down on your tantrums," he said then left, Julius scratched his head. "That's right." he whispered but followed the girl where she was going, Edward shook his friend at the foolishness, "Hey, you're silly, Jules." he continued finding some clues that will lead them to the killer, meanwhile Sirius yawned after writing new chapters of the novel and put off his alarm.

He made it a habit that every time he wrote he would set an alarm so he could limit himself and not get tired of writing, he leaned on the swivel chair to rest for a while before cooking his dinner. He realized that he had been in his apartment all week and immersed himself in writing his new novel, maybe his refrigerator was empty so he first looked at the calendar near the entrance where there was a big window. When he has his salary next week, maybe the remaining food will be enough.

He looked at the mirror at the bottom of the calendar and almost fell off his seat when he saw an unfamiliar man standing next to him, he tried to look at him again and when he saw that he wasn't there, he breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe he just lost his sight because of hunger, the young man laughed, then when he was about to stand up suddenly someone pulled him to sit back in his swivel chair, and a man suddenly appeared to him. "Hello, my dear."

(Note: Another Chapter for Sirius Novel)

After hours of work as a call center agent, finally, Helios could go home. He will just walk home now because his studio is close to where he works, even at midnight a few people are hanging out at L Public Park because it is said that it is better to go for a walk at night and also see the beauty of the wide L River because of the reflection of the month here, Helios just walks slowly because he wants to make the most of the night especially since he doesn't have school tomorrow either.

He arrived at a party in L River where it was quite dark and empty, Helios halted in his tracks and released a deep sigh. Sometimes he thinks about why he is working as a BPO agent and he knows that it is difficult but he has no choice even though he is a four-year college graduate it is difficult to find a job now, he tried to find the work that suits on his college degree but nothing still. His gaze landed on the L River; a beautiful but mysterious being.

He remembered the news that happened here before, the river is known for taking lives so the government can't do anything but the barricade but some people are just stubborn and of course, they also don't want to lose the beautiful attraction in L Public Park so it's small that's all they put grills around the river. Helios remembered back then that his father was always here to catch fish and that his father lost his life in this same river. It's because the elders are said to be watching here in the L River and hunt it down, the moment you see him you will surely die, Helios shook his head because his father's death was announced as murder and the killer was his blood relative. to him.

He sighed and took out his phone to capture a photo to post on his SNS, Helios was trying to focus the phone on the river when suddenly a silhouette appeared on the screen. He frowned then check if there was someone so he put down the phone, he just shook his head then raised it again and he almost let go of some kind of monster that suddenly appeared in front of him, he didn't continue what he was about to do earlier and decided to leave the place. Helios turned and was about to walk away but he felt a sharp pain on his back then blood came out of his mouth then next thing happened was on the next day the local found his body floating around the river, once again the Guardian of L River took another life.
