Chapter 6 Six

Sirius returned to the publishing house because the head editor was calling him for the contract signing of his new novel, the secretary happily greeted him at the entrance and brought him to the meeting room where the chairman and head editor were waiting for him. Sirius cluelessly entered the room because in the first place he didn't remember how he wrote the other chapters of the novel, sat in the empty seat across from the executives and the contracts were already placed on the table. Kim." the chairman began, the writer smiled at them then greeting back a good morning too. "that's why we called you again because we liked the new manuscript you submitted so we're offering you an exclusive contract."

Sirius can't say no to this because this is his opportunity to meet a famous writer, he carefully read everything written in the contract before signing. He thanked the head editor and the chairman for taking a photo of them shaking hands. "I will look forward to your new chapters in the novel, Mr. Kim because even I want to know what is going on." he nodded in response.

Sirius recently left the publishing house sadly, now he has nothing to look forward to. He immediately called his friends to celebrate at a restaurant, "Hello where are you?" He asked when Julius answered his call, because he saw in their group chat that the two were arguing about where to meet so he thought they were together. "I'm at Edward's Station because I got a scoop." Julius explained, "Why were you summoned?" Sirius' smile widened. "I just want to tell you that my new novel has been received so I want to celebrate with you and Edward." he can imagine that Julius was smiling on the other line. "That's glad to know, Sirius. Just tell us what time to meet so I can say goodbye to work."

Sirius replied, "Okay." before saying his goodbye, for now he will withdraw money first so he is looking for a nearby atm machine or maybe he will just go to L Mall. He was busy observing the surroundings when suddenly someone hit him, "Ouch," he uttered as he grabbed his shoulder and then messaged him. "Are you okay?" the one who bumped into him asked him, Sirius looked at him when he saw who it was as if he had seen it before but he couldn't remember where. "I'm sorry if I bumped on you because I was a bit busy on my phone." the man explained, Sirius just smiled. "It's okay, I'm not what I'm going through either." she said and was about to leave but the man grabbed her hand. "Why?" he asked here, the man just grinned at him. "You don't remember me?" Sirius wondered why the man suddenly asked him. "I'm sorry but no, so please let go of my hand." he answered.

The man's grip on her hand tightened even more as he laughed. "Oh come on, Sirius Kim. It looks like this? you don't remember? try to remember me next time, if that happened to me I'd rather just forget." Sirius forcefully removed his hand from the stranger and glared at him, "Can you?! I don't know you so don't bother me." he exclaimed then left and continued looking for an ATM.

In the evening they met friends at a restaurant, "Congratulations on your new novel, Rius. I hope it becomes popular." Julius congratulated and then gave a gift to his friend, Edward followed and handed his gift and hugged Sirius. "Thank you, I hope you didn't bother to buy it because your presence is okay with me." said while smiling at his friends, Julius shook his head. "What are you like to others, you know we both want to give you a present." He said.

"Saka token mo na rin yan dahil nakapagpublish ka na ng bagong novel." dagdag ni Edward, nag-order na sila ng pagkain saka pinag-uusapan ang mga nangyayari sa kanila boung araw, "Nakakainis yung si June Custudio kasi palagi niya akong pinagyayabangan sa mga achievements niya." pagreklamo ni Julius, kaya napatawa ang detective saka sinabing, "Hindi ka pa nasanay doon eh palagi naman mayabang yun nung highschool at ayaw niya malamanang mo siya." napakunot naman ang noo ni Sirius. "June Custudio? classmate pa siya natin nung highschool?" tanong niya kaya nagtinginan yung dalawa. "Ah oo, hindi mo lang siguro natandaan." ani Julius, sumunod namang nagreklamo si Edward na marami silang trabahong ginagawa sa station lalo na't sunod-sunod ang pagpatay kaya sumama na rin si Julius sa paglutas ng kaso niya dahil siya rin yung na-assign na magreport kahit papaano ay medyo gumaan ang lahat.

"Nga pala, ano yung title ng book mo?" tanong ng reporter saka kinuha ang phone at naglog-in sa L famous reading portal, Sirius finish munching his food before answering his friend, "The Mystery Killer of the Night." pagkatapos niyang banggitin yun ay hinanap na ni Julius ang novel at ganun rin ang ginawa ni Edward, "Add ko rin nga para mabasa pag may free time ako." Edward commented, nag-order sila ng dessert saka pinagpatuloy ang pagkwento at nagpapahinga saglit. "Kanina pala may nakabangga akong lalaki, tinanong niya ako kung kilala ko siya. Ang weird lang kasi niya." ani ni Sirius na siyang kinatigil ng dalawa, binigyan ng makahulugang tingin si Julius si Edward na parang nag-uusap sila gamit ng mata. "Sinabi niya ba kung ano ang pangalan niya?" tanong ni Edward, "Siya daw si Myrus Kang, classmates rin ba siya natin nung highschool or college kasi hindi ko na matanda." ani ng writer habang nakakunot ang noo.

"Nasa ibang section siya nung highschool, Rius. pero magkakilala kayo kasi suki ka minsan sa guidance." pabirong sabi ni Edward. "May sinabi pa siyang iba sa iyo?" umiling na si Sirius, "Wala naman." tipid niyang sagot, nagbill-out na sila at umalis na ng restaurant pero hindi nila napansin na may mga matang nakatingin sa kanilang mga mata habang nakangisi.
