Chapter 7 Seven

Myrus Kang angrily entered the coffee shop where he was supposed to meet someone, he never experienced that he would call him and beg them to talk. His mood shifted as he smirked when he saw her sitting quietly on one side near the window. "Have a seat," Julius said softly when his former classmate approached him, Myrus just rolled his eyes then sat on a vacant chair across from the reporter then he called a waiter to get his order.

"What are we going to talk about and you can't wait until I'm off?" Myrus asked indifferently while looking directly at the reporter, Julius just sighed. "I can't argue anymore, maybe you know what happened to Marina and Edelita?" of course, he knew and already heard it especially once he met their batchmates in high school and Myrus was still working as a doctor at the hospital where Marina "What does that have to do with you?" he asked causing Julius to release a sigh again.

"Aren't you afraid that you might be next?" the reporter worriedly asked causing the doctor to grin. "Why would I be afraid of that rotting demon who has already been buried 6 feet under the ground for almost a decade?" he said sarcastically as the waiter returned with his order and then left after placing it on the table. "You must be a ghost visiting us and if he does rise from the pit, I won't be the first one he goes to. Do you think Sirius is safe now? so you should worry about him not me." he added, Julius couldn't help but agree with him. "Speaking of Sirius, we have met recently. His memories haven't returned yet." the doctor asked, and Julius shook his head. "We tried everything so he wouldn't do all that again." The reporter stated they talked for a few minutes before saying goodbye to each other because they still had jobs left.

"Detective Yoon!" Police Inspector Salazar knocked on the latter's table to wake him up, Edward woke up immediately and rubbed his eyes before putting on his glasses. "Gwen?" the detective called the inspector's first name, "What are you doing here? Is there a new case?" he asked because that is usually the reason the girl comes to his place. "Edelita Corazon's attorney doesn't want to talk to you about anything." explained the girl.

Edward frowned because normally it was the attorneys who approached him, "Why are you here?" he asked again, "That's what Megumi wants before seeing you meet, you must be ready," he was stunned when Inspector Salazar mentioned the name of the person he didn't know. forgettable "Wait, Megumi?Ass in Megumi Lee?" The woman nodded in response, and Edward mentally slapped himself. He never in his life will meet the woman he first loved. "Where is she?" he asked, the inspector laughed because she expected that the reaction of the detective would be like this immediately.

"In the meeting room," he replied, Edward was about to stand up when he remembered that he hadn't taken a shower because he fell asleep at the station but good thing he had extra clothes here just in case of emergency. "Can you go there first, just give me five minutes to fix it," he stated, immediately running towards the nearest bathroom in the station. Inspector Salazar just shook his head and then returned to the meeting room.

Megumi Lee was there quietly sitting on one of the swivel chairs while scrolling on her phone. "Where's Edward?" he asked seeing the police inspector alone. "Just washed up for a while and it came here," he explained to the attorney then sat in the empty seat next to him, just like the detective had promised he came after five minutes. Her hair is combed and her clothes are different, she doesn't have her thick glasses because she wears contact lenses.

Megumi was stunned to see this version of Edward, all she remembered was a high school teenager who was wearing thick glasses and pimples living in every part of his face. The detective cleared his throat to make the attorney aware. "Good morning, sorry if I took so long," he said, again the attorney git startled hearing his deep husky voice. Edward sat in the opposite seat and then put down the documents that Megumi needed. "So let's start," he said waiting for the attorney to speak because he wanted his voice to be heard. "I just wanted to ask some progress on Edelita's case," said Megumi, the detective gasped and Inspector Salazar laughed at what was happening to the two. Edward adjusted his seat as if nothing was happening then he began to explain the progress of the case of the late artist.

"Do you suspect that Edelita's case is connected to Marina?" Megumi asked because she also heard the news about Marina Santiago's death, a day before Edelita's. He will admit that the actress was very happy to know about what happened to the nurse who was her old friend and they just had a conflict so they were very angry with each other, the actress did not expect that she would be the next so she celebrated it was that night. "Yes, and I think only one suspect killed them." Edward showed the same mark found on the two. "S.K." she muttered as her hand traced the photo, her brow knitted because the mark seemed familiar to her. "Wait isn't this the signature mark of.. ." both of their eyes went wide as they realized it but that couldn't happen.

"You must be kidding, Megu. That animal has been dead for a long time." Gwen Salazar commented but they still can't get out of their minds that there is a possibility that he is still alive. Edward's phone suddenly rang, he picked it up and answered the call. "Why didn't you come home last night?" Julius said angrily, Edward swallowed his saliva, "I'm sorry, I just smelled something, I'll be home later." he answered. "Just make sure I have gossip later," he said goodbye to Julius because he was still in a meeting. "Who's that?" Megumi asked him curiously, Edward shook his head. "It's just Julius looking for me," he explained, why the attorney seemed relieved to hear what he heard.
