"Her condition is stable now. She collapsed because, in my opinion, she had been under a lot of stress and not eating properly for several days. But after the medication, she will be back on track. The vitamins will provide her and the baby with enough nutrients to support them," the doctor said.

It became so hard for him even just to run that one-syllable word on his head. When he asked the doctor how many months the baby was, the doctor undoubtedly said it had been four months. For the first time in his life, his chest tightened. It was very hard to breathe. Without counting, he knew exactly when he had been involved with the gold-digger woman he encountered at the mansion, whose name turned out to be Lyka de Luca. He quietly laughed at himself. He ran his fingers through his thick, pitch-black hair just to ease the throbbing pain in his head. Somehow, he considered the possibility that the baby the woman was carrying might be his, the peaceful one lying on the white hospital bed where they were currently located. He promised himself he would never fall victim to gold diggers, but it was like throwing a piece of bad bread out the window and engaging in unprotected sex with a woman he didn't even know. It was something he had never done in his entire life. He had always been very careful. Aether Damien Darkstorm had never been impulsive in his life. Everything about him was calculated and planned. Every decision was carefully thought out.

But God, nobody could blame him if he was tempted. He was just a man with a normal set of hormones, and Lyka de Luca that night was a goddamn fantasy that came to life. Dressed in her skimpy little red dress, she was seduction personified. Every inch of her creamy skin and every curve of her enticing body was a ticket to heaven with no return. Clenching his fist, he approached the sleeping girl, hesitating several times to touch her body, and in the end, he carefully grabbed the blanket and covered her exposed legs.

Damien's attention shifted when he heard noise outside the suite.

"What's wrong with you? My friend is inside that hospital suite. Let me in, why are you blocking me? Who are you?" Lina insisted, trying to pass the uniformed bodyguards blocking the door of Lyka's room in that luxurious hospital.

"Let me in! She doesn't have any other relatives to take care of her. I'm the only one close to her!" Lina added, almost gazing up at the tall guards who seemed like boulders blocking the door to her friend's room. At first, she hesitated, thinking she might have entered the wrong room, as where would her friend find bodyguards with such massive bodies. But she saw the name on the door. Lyka de Luca.

"Sorry, Miss, but we're just following orders. No one is allowed to enter this room except for the doctors."

Lina frowned.

"Whose orders?"

But the men blocking the way didn't answer.

"I want to know the condition of my best friend! I demand to know what's happening here, or I'll call the police. We don't even know you!"

Lina continued to cause a scene. Despite the towering height and size of the people blocking the door, she still tried to slip past them.

She was only silenced when the door of the room opened, revealing a tall man in an executive suit. Lina slowly looked up to get a good look at the man. She needed to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her.

"Visitors are not allowed. Get lost," the tall man in front of her said authoritatively.

Lina was left speechless.

She didn't know how to react. It felt like all the muscles in her body stiffened, and she couldn't breathe or swallow her saliva.

"Aether Damien Darkstorm...? The Prince¬-Of-Hell #number three?" Lina uttered.

"Thank goodness you're awake. The doctor said it's normal for you to have a long sleep due to extreme fatigue, but I've been worried," Lina greeted her as she opened her eyes.

"Where are we, Li?"

"We're in the hospital. Where else? You fainted. You should've been more careful. You know your condition is delicate."

Lyka felt the pain in her senses again. Automatically, she reached for her stomach.

"Don't worry. The baby is okay. But you need plenty of rest."

"Li... Sssshhhhh..." She held her head. She still felt weak. "I'm fine. We need to get out of here. Our bills might accumulate. You know we're trying to save money. This hospital you brought me to seems expensive. I could have gone to a public hospital instead-"

"I didn't bring you here."

"What? Then who did?" She suddenly remembered what happened to her. Right! She was in the Darklore, Inc. building, talking to a man who seemed like a devil's envoy. Then she fainted.

She followed Lina's gaze towards the door. There she saw him again. In his full godly grandeur, pretending to lean against the wall of the room, his hand tucked into his pants pocket. His dizzying eyes were fixed on her.

"I thought it was the dress that made your belly a little larger than usual... Apparently not..." He said in his usual icy voice.

Lyka swallowed. She touched her stomach.

"You are pregnant."

She panicked completely. "Lina, let's go! Let's leave this place now." She tried to get up, forcefully removing the IV needle from her hand if it weren't for the promptness of the stranger. In an instant, he was by her side, holding both her hands.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Are you crazy? You'll stay right here until we get permission from your doctors!" he exclaimed. "They told me you're about four months pregnant. We both know very well that the baby could be mine."

"You doubt it? What do you think I am, a whore who lets anyone fuck me?" She blurted out, out of herself.

"Well then, you're not leaving this place. You won't leave my sight until it's proven that this child is indeed mine!"

"I'll leave whenever I want. Because I'm not chasing after you. I don't care if you don't acknowledge my child. We don't need you!"

"Huh? Do you really think just for one second that I'll let you out of that door knowing that-that baby could be my child? No fucking way, lady!"

Lyka was stunned. No way. He wanted their child? No. He can't have her baby. He'll take it away from her. "You think you can stop me?" She had the audacity to say. She needed to get away from this person who might take her child.

"Absolutely," he replied with his head held high.

Lyka swallowed. She looked at Lina. Her friend shook her head, biting her lower lip as if she were afraid for her.

"Lyka..." Lina whispered. "You need to know something."

She furrowed her brows at her friend.

"Don't you really know me, or are you just pretending not to?" the man prodded.

"I don't know any despicable, judgmental, and wicked person like you!"

"Why don't you ask your friend? She seems to know a lot about me."

She looked at Lina again.

"The media is calling me a demon-an evil billionaire."

She gasped.

"He's on the list," her friend finally whispered. "Number three."

Lyka's lips fell open. That means this man in front of her is extremely powerful, wealthy, and ruthless. Her baby's father! A prince-Of-hell.
