Meanwhile, while Sandy was in the room, she grabbed her stomach because it was making noise.
"Won't they give me food?" she said to herself.
After Sandy ate this morning, the man took her back to the room and locked the door. Even the food at lunch was not sent to her, or she ate lunch in the kitchen.
"If they wanted to starve me to death, they should have just shot me, so I can't feel more suffering." She stood up and paced back and forth inside the room when the door opened.
"Time to eat."
She looked at the man and asked It was a different man because he wasn't the one who brought her to the kitchen earlier. "Mister, why didn't you let me out this afternoon to eat?"
The man scratched his head. "I'm sorry, ma'am; I overslept, so I didn't come here for lunch. I was the one who was ordered to take you to the kitchen today. I'm sorry you didn't eat lunch."
She just smiled a little. "It's okay."
"Let's go and eat. I'm sure the boss is on his way home."
They left the room, but as they were going to the kitchen, she thought about what the man called her, ma'am: "Who is Stephanie that the man was talking about last night, and what did she do? Why is he so angry? What was Stephanie's fault and the reason why I'm here?"
When they got to the kitchen, there was food ready on the table, and it looked delicious, unlike this morning. She sat on the chair and started to eat. The man suddenly said, "I'll go out first, ma'am."
She just nodded, continued eating, and then looked around. She didn't see the maid today, so she wondered who put the food on the table. What she did was just wash the plate and utensils and then wait for the man to come back. But after a few minutes in the kitchen, he still didn't come back, so she left the kitchen and walked to the living room of the house.
The house is big, and people hardly see each other here if only two people are living there. The wall paint is white, and the furniture is black, so it's nice to see.
She noticed that it was quiet inside, and she didn't see any guards; even the living room door was open. She quickly approached it with nervousness in her chest and looked around. She also saw that the gate was open, even though it was far from the house itself. She wasted no time and ran to the gate, and when she was about to get out, a man suddenly shouted.
"Hey!" From the looks of it, he was shocked to see her, so he called his other colleagues. "Idiot! The woman has escaped. Hurry up!" Many people appeared from behind the house. All the guards at that time were eating and did not remember that they were guarding someone.
Meanwhile, when Sandy finally got out of the gate, she ran and ran, even though her stomach almost hurt because she had just finished eating. There are times when she stops for a while to rest, but it shouldn't last long because they will catch her. The people chasing Sandy are about to catch up with her, and she is almost closing her eyes from running.
She stopped for a moment and ran again, but when she turned on the road, a car was just turning towards her. She sat down because the front of the car slightly touched her body.
While Sandy was sitting on the ground, the driver of the car came out and rushed to her, but when Sandy looked up, her eyes widened because it was Brix.
The two stared at each other, but eventually Brix frowned and his face became serious. "Do you think you can escape?" he said emphatically while pulling Sandy upright.
"Let me go; I need to go home; my mother is worried!" Tears fell from her eyes as she pulled the man's hand away.
Brix held Sandy's hand tightly as he forced her into the car. "I don't want to, please...please! Let me go." Sandy's eyes are full of tears as she pleads with Brix, but he doesn't listen to her.
Struggling to get out of his grasp, she bit down hard, loosening his grip on her slightly. She had a chance to leave and run, but her stomach was no longer cooperating, and it hurt. He reached for her again, but she didn't expect what he did-she received a hard hit to the stomach, so her whole body went weak because of the pain of what he did. Her mouth was slightly open as she looked at the man, and tears rolled down her cheeks. A few moments later, she completely leaned against his body.
"You want to get hurt before you shut up."
Brix carried Sandy into the car, and before starting the car, his men arrived.
Brix got out of the car again and approached his men. He angrily looked at them one by one. "Don't make the mistake of saying why he escaped if you don't answer me. Now, which one of you is responsible for why she got out of the mansion?" Brix said it seriously, but frighteningly.
His men looked at each other, but a man walked to the front. "I'm sorry, boss. I'm the one assigned to watch over Ma'am today. I just went out to the back of the house for a while; I didn't know she was going to run away."
"Idiot! I warned you not to take your eyes off her every time you take her to the kitchen to eat, but what happened? She almost escaped again!" Brix's face was very angry as he massaged the bridge of his nose.
The man who was watching over Sandy earlier was just bowing. "Repeat neglect, Mendez; the sun will never shine on you again." He walked back to the car and got in. He first peeked at Sandy, who had completely lost consciousness.
He started the car and left his men standing, but they also immediately followed their boss.
Upon entering the mansion, Brix immediately came out and carried Sandy to the second floor and her bedroom. Even before he laid Sandy on the bed, she regained consciousness. She looked at Brix, but she started to escape from him.
Sandy struggled in Brix's grip, so she fell to the floor but immediately stood up, punching and trying to reach for Brix's hair.
"You have no heart!" She just kept pulling Brix's clothes and punching his body and face; even his hair was not spared.
Brix flinched at what Sandy was doing, but he couldn't hold back and slapped her, causing her face to turn to the left. She touched her numb cheek and looked into Brix's eyes in disbelief.
"Why are you doing this to me? I don't even know you, and I'm not the Stephanie you're referring to. Why are you angry at me? I told you I am Sandy, and you just got the wrong person." She stopped because he gave her another slap. Tears began to form in her eyes, and she looked at him angrily.
Brix just stared at Sandy and gave her a stubborn look. "If I were you, I wouldn't pretend to be someone else because I don't believe it. You are Stephanie, my girlfriend, and you left me because you conspired with your father to bring me down." Brix's tears escaped slightly, but his face remained serious. "So don't plan to use another identity just to make me believe that you're not Stephanie." Brix grinned. "What do you think of me as a fool who doesn't know what you looked like then and now, so don't use that excuse on me?"
Sandy shook her head because she was not the person the man was talking to. "Trust me, I'm not Stephanie. Maybe we just have a resemblance." She seemed to be going crazy while saying that, as her eyes widened.
Brix grinned. "No one will believe you." Brix walked out and closed the door, which was sure to be locked from the outside.
She just sat on the bed and held her stomach and cheeks. She feels double the pain now. It was her first time experiencing this. She lay down and twisted herself, then shed tears that will never stop as long as she is in this house.
After Brix left Sandy's room, he continued to his room and poured wine into a glass while looking out the window. You can see the anger on his face and the pain and sadness hidden in his eyes.
Meanwhile, the police who tried to ask for Lily's help did nothing because no one saw Sandy that night. They also said that maybe Sandy just went to another place and didn't tell her mother about it, but in Elizabeth's mind, her daughter wouldn't do that because Sandy was a very kind and obedient daughter, and if that happened, she would say goodbye to her right away.
Lily temporarily provides food for Sandy's mother while they search for her.
