Chapter 3 Starting To Suffer

Sandy stopped and sat down because her body hit the men who were blocking her path.

Meanwhile, Brix was slowly walking down the stairs, and when he was at the bottom, he signaled his hand to his men to leave them, and no one would be left inside, so all the men who were inside left the house.

Sandy heard the sound of shoes approaching her, and she was not mistaken because it stopped right in front of her and she could only see his shoes.

"Aren't you going to stand there? No one is going to help you here, just yourself."

She clenched her fist and shed tears because of the mess that was happening, and she also needed to get home because her mother was waiting for her and she didn't want her to worry about her.

She looked up with anger in her eyes. "Please hear me! I don't know you, so get me out of here!"

He frowned as he suddenly laughed loudly like a madman with tears in his eyes from laughing so much. "Really? You don't recognize this face." He shook his head and came a little closer to her. He stared at her for a long time before he spoke again. "You even managed to change yourself just so I couldn't find you."

She frowned and looked into the man's eyes. "I do not know what you're saying."

His face became serious. "You'll never fool me again-Stephanie."

Her forehead furrowed even more when he called her by another name. "It looks like you got the wrong person; I'm not Stephanie."

"Stop!" he shouted. "Don't add more sin to me and your father. How can you pretend to be ignorant and say that you are innocent of everything that is happening even when you left without saying goodbye to me?" His jaw tensed, and his eye was red with a little tear on its side.

"I don't know what you're talking about because I'm not Stephanie!" She was breathing fast because she couldn't understand that she wasn't the person the man was talking about.

"No matter what you say, you are Stephanie; even if you change your hair color, you will never fool me because I surely remember that face fooling me!"

She closed her eyes and began to cry because no matter what she said, he was not listening, and that name, Stephanie, was putting pressure on her.

"Please! Let me go; my mother is waiting for me." She tried to hold the man's hand, but he just brushed his hand away and held her cheek tightly.

"Now that you're here, I'm going to make you experience the bitterness that I experienced when you left and your father cheated on me. It seems that from the very beginning of our relationship, you and your father have been planning something to get my wealth."

She shook her head, even though he was still holding her cheek tightly. She tried to speak: "Trust me, I'm not the person you're talking about; I'm Sandy-my name is Sandy, not Stephanie!"

Brix tightened his hold on Sandy's cheek even more. It can be seen that her face is red from the pressure, so Brix lets go of her and pushes her away.

She bit her lip hard because of the pain; there was no stopping the flow of her tears because no matter what she said to the man in front of her now, he seemed deaf to her explanation that she was not the person he was referring to.

"Starting tomorrow, I will make you experience even more of the pain I felt when you left. It will be double, it will be harder, and you will just want to wish to be gone from this world."

Brix approached Sandy again and violently took her left hand. He mercilessly pulled Sandy's hand even though she was still sitting, so even though she was weak, Sandy tried to stand up because if she didn't, even on the stairs up, he would be made into something that was just dragged like a thing without feeling.

They went to Brix's room next door. He opened it and pushed Sandy inside, causing her to fall to the floor. When Brix was about to close the door, Sandy quickly stood up, but Brix closed the door completely.

"Please! Let me go; I'm not Stephanie!" she shouted. She almost pushed and knocked on the door just so the man could hear her, but he didn't come back until she lost her voice.

She sat down slowly with her back against the door while her eyes filled with tears. "My mother is waiting for me." She knelt on her knees and shed all the tears because only then could she express what she wanted to say and do.

While Sandy was crying inside the bedroom, Brix stayed outside the room while leaning against the wall next to the bedroom door. He heard Sandy crying and begging to let her go because she wasn't Stephanie.

"My pity for you is too much, so no matter what you say or how much you cry, you will not get what you want." He wiped a drop of tears from his right eye before leaving, leaning against the wall, and heading to his bedroom.

The next day Sandy's mother woke up, and she was lying on the sofa. During the time she was waiting for her daughter, she fell asleep. As soon as she got up, she immediately looked around the house, but she didn't see Sandy, so she got up and went to her room and even to her daughter's room, but Sandy didn't show up.

Elizabeth, Sandy's mother, was filled with worry. It's the first time this has happened; her daughter didn't come home right away.

"I have to go to the restaurant. I don't want to feel like I can't think straight until I see my daughter." She just put a covering cloth over her head before leaving their house.

Elizabeth boarded a taxi and traveled to the place where the restaurant was. As soon as Elizabeth got off, she immediately went and peeked at the people inside, but she couldn't see Sandy, and only other staff were going back and forth in front of her.

Lily was about to enter the kitchen when she noticed Elizabeth, which is why she approached her. "Auntie Elizabeth, why are you here?"

"Did Sandy work overtime? She didn't come home last night. Is she here?"

Lily frowned because she and Sandy went home together last night even though the way home was in a different direction, and she knew very well that Sandy went straight home after eating street food because Sandy went in the taxi parking last night. "We didn't work overtime. We left the restaurant together, and I also saw her go home and go to where the taxi was last night."

Elizabeth's hands were sweating. "She didn't come home; Sandy didn't show up earlier. If she did come home last night, she should have woken me up because we were going to eat dinner together." Elizabeth's tears were on the side, and the worry could be seen on her face.

Lily was confused because she thought that Sandy had been kidnapped or that some bad people had taken her. "Just a moment, Auntie Elizabeth, I just have something to talk to." Lily quickly left in front of Elizabeth and went to a room because their restaurant manager was there.

Lily informed her manager that she was just going somewhere for a while and explained why. She allowed her, so she went out immediately and returned to Elizabeth.

"Come on, Auntie Elizabeth. Let's report it to the police. I don't have a good feeling, especially since I know she was going to the taxi parking lot to go home."

Lily and Elizabeth have already left the restaurant. They will go to the nearby police station and report because maybe someone saw Sandy that night.

Meanwhile, Sandy woke up and was still next to the bedroom door. That's where she fell asleep while crying last night. Her stomach growled; she hadn't eaten yet except last night. Her mother entered her mind. "Mom, I'm sure she didn't eat last night." She stood up and knocked on the door again. "Is there someone there? Let me out of here!"

The lock on the door creaked, signaling that someone was about to open it. She saw that it was a man and one of the men the man had talked to last night. "Come, ma'am, you need to eat." The man was about to touch her, but she pulled back. "Just follow me if you don't want me to touch you."

She just followed the man until they got out of the living room and went to the kitchen.

"There are two maids here, but I think one is not here yet, so one servant will take care of you first. I'll leave you here, and don't try to run away because every door you go through has people. You better follow."

He left, and Sandy was left in the kitchen. She sat in the chair in front of the table and slowly looked around. Not long after, a woman appeared. She looks pretty, but she's dressed too sexy, even though she's wearing a maid's uniform.

She looked at her as if judging her before going to the fridge. She took out a small Tupperware.

The woman forcefully dropped the Tupperware in front of her. "Eat this."

She looked at the Tupperware and was sure that whatever was in it was very hard. "Can you warm it up?"

The maid raised her eyebrows. "Don't be artistic. This is Sir Brix's order, so just eat. What difference does it make if you eat it hot or cold? It's still food." She took a pot and placed it on the table. Sandy opened it, but the rice looked like it was from last night. She looked at the woman, but she didn't speak.

"Finally, Sir Brix has come to his senses; nothing can stop me anymore. I will treat you the way I want. I am only a maid here, but your position with Sir Brix is lower than mine. You are just a toy for him; if he wants to hurt you, he can." The woman grinned at her. "Don't move anything else in here, or your dish will heat up. You'll be in trouble if I figure it out."

After the woman said that, she immediately left in front of her.
