Sandy opened the Tupperware and saw that the cooked pork porridge was also based on the vegetables included, but the soup was hard because it was inside the freezer.
"In my whole life, this is the first time I have experienced this. Even though my daily wage is not enough, I was not treated like a non-human." Tears fell again while she was spooning rice; even though she wanted to heat the dish, she just didn't continue.
While Sandy was eating, she was crying. This dish is difficult to eat, especially if it is hard. She endured because she needed to be strong enough to plan an escape, even though it was impossible.
When Sandy woke up, Brix was not at home because he had gone to work early. There was a malfunction at the factory for alcoholic drinks.
Meanwhile, while Brix was drinking wine, someone entered his office.
"I didn't know that alcohol was breakfast now," said a man's voice.
He turned and gave a small smile. "Calix." He turned his chair to see Calix better because he was just staring at the clouds outside.
Calix sat next to Brix's table. "Good morning, why are you drinking that wine? Don't you want coffee?"
"It's a new flavor; I just tasted it. It's okay, so I just continued."
Calix frowned as he stared at him. "Is there a problem?"
Brix sighed and faced the outside of the office again. "Because there was a malfunction in my wine factory, and another thing is-I've found her."
Calix's gaze quickly shifted to him. "Stephanie?"
He nodded. "Yes."
"Why aren't you happy to see him again?"
He grinned and picked up the wine glass again. "You know why I shouldn't be happy now that I've seen her. She broke my heart, so I'll do double for her."
Calix saw the stress in Brix's grip on the glass. "You know it's not right to retaliate."
He couldn't believe his eyes when he looked at Calix. "I'm not like you, Calix. It was possible then, but not now. It's good for her to experience the pain to at least alleviate the suffering I suffered. You were a witness to how I lost myself just looking for her. It's good that I overcame that, or my company would be gone forever."
"Don't you feel even a little love for her anymore?"
He was silent and just stared at the glass as he turned it around with his hand. "I ask you, Calix. Will you still love the woman who tried to bring you down with the love you say?" Calix, on the other hand, was silenced by what he said. "The pain won't go away immediately; even if you apply medicine, the pain will return after a few hours."
Calix just sighed, but just a few moments later someone was knocking on the door of Brix's office-his secretary.
The secretary opened the door and immediately said what his boss needed to know. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation with Sir Calix, sir. But you need to go to the factory to see what went wrong."
He drank all the wine in the glass. "Okay, just wait for me outside."
"Yes, sir."
Brix's secretary left, but before he left the office, he said goodbye to Calix, who was also standing. "I'm sorry, Calix; I didn't ask what your purpose is here in my office. Maybe we'll meet again next time. I just have to prioritize the problem at the factory; it might get worse if I don't go now."
Calix smiled and patted his shoulder. "No problem, Brix. Your problem is more important than what I have to say. It's also about work, but it can wait."
"Is that so?"
"Yes."
"I'll call you when I can, but right now I need to go."
"Sure, I'll be outside the building at the same time."
Brix just nodded, and his secretary followed as he and Calix left the office. Calix just waved at him for a moment before he drove away.
Brix and his secretary traveled for two hours before arriving at the factory. He immediately got out of the car and continued inside a huge wine factory. He didn't even wait for his secretary to get out of the car.
The head of the factory approached him. "Good morning, sir."
"Good Morning."
"Let's talk in my office. It's noisy here."
Brix followed as his eyes wandered around, and even his secretary followed behind him.
When Brix entered and sat down on the monoblock, he spoke immediately. "What's the problem?"
The man first looked at Brix's secretary because their boss was too serious. He thinks that if he says something bad, his boss will respond angrily.
"It's about the labels of the wines."
He frowned. "Say it."
"There was a mistake in the labeling of the bottles. The name that was supposed to be on the wine ended up on the spirit bottle. Right now, everything that changed the names on the bottle is being fixed."
"In the bottle with the wrong name. There's wine in it?" he asked seriously.
The head of the factory was swallowed. "Yes, it is."
"How many?"
The man's eyes widened at his boss's question. It closed its eyes before saying the quantity. "50,000 bottles, boss."
His ears perked up at what he heard; he was not happy about their mistake. "You probably know that it's hard to remove the sticker from the bottle once it's attached."
"Y-yes."
He hit his hand hard on the table. "Why was there such a problem?"
"I'm sorry, boss, the one who monitored the labeling of the names was new, so maybe he got confused."
"Still confused by the different bottle shapes? The size difference between wine bottles and spirits!" he said, trying to hold back his anger.
The head of the factory felt nervous because his boss was angry. "Fix it, Lorenzo; if not, tomorrow you'll be packing your things to go home to your province."
"I'm sorry, boss."
He stood up and adjusted his tuxedo. "I don't want this to happen again. It's a waste of wine, Lorenzo. Just throw away the liquid wine and spirits with the wrong labeling. Make a way for the bottle to remove the sticker." He stared into his staff's eyes. "Or if you want, put the wine back in the container with your hands because the sticker removal is not programmed into the machine either."
After Brix said that, he walked away with his secretary. The one he called Lorenzo just sat down while he massaged his head.
While Brix was riding the car back to his building, his secretary spoke.
"Sir, do you want to eat first?"
He looked at his watch and saw that it was eleven o'clock in the morning, so they stopped at a small restaurant.
They entered, and a few people were eating inside. Brix sat on a chair while his secretary ordered food, and then the two of them just waited. Their order takes a long time because it's still being cooked. At the one they went to, everything served was fresh, even the drinks if you ordered fruit juices.
While they were waiting for the order, Brix's secretary, Jenny, asked, "Sir, I noticed that you are not having a good day today; has something happened?"
He looked outside the restaurant because its pillars were transparent. "I found her."
Jenny was stunned. "Who?"
"Stephanie."
Jenny's eyes quickly shifted to Brix, even though he was still looking outside, and she seemed to have a tinge of confusion based on the movement of her eyes. "W-when?"
"Just last night."
"What-" Jenny stopped what she was going to say when there were plates with food placed on their table. She didn't continue because Brix immediately grabbed a knife and started eating, so she started eating too.
Jenny was Brix's classmate when they were college students; she became Brix's secretary when she was looking for a job. She graduated from business administration school and has the experience, so if she left her job right now, another company would hire her right away. However, she decided to stick with Brix's company up until this point.
After eating, they immediately returned to the company for Brix's other job as a tuxedo fashion designer. Apart from being the owner of the winery, he is also one of the owners of a large shop where only tuxedos can be seen. He designed various designs himself; everything displayed in that shop was his design, so he is also one of the richest people in the world because of his two businesses. Even in discovering new flavors of alcohol, he is also the one who tastes them before they go on the market, so it can be said that Brix is a very gifted person. His products are exported to other countries and are also among the top products in the alcohol and fashion industries.
While other employees inside were greeting him, Brix continued to enter the building and only nodded in response. He entered his office and sat directly in front of his desk.
"Ice coffee," he said to Jenny.
"Yes, sir."
He took a sketchbook and opened it. Brix has a drawing that is not finished yet because he stopped at the collar of the tuxedo for another design and to be different.
He spent the time drawing so that it was finished immediately. For the past few months, he has not been able to release a new design in his shop, so even though it was late at night, he continued with it.
When Brix's hands stopped drawing, he looked at his watch. "It's already eight o'clock." He put aside the sketchbook, took the bag containing the laptop, and left the office. His secretary just said goodbye to him, and he continued to leave the building and get into the car.
