Chapter 5 I Don't care

POV: Alexei Kovalenko.

Things had just gone from Bad to worst.

I walked into the dimly lit bar with my friends, feeling happy to be with them. The night was young, and we were ready to have a good time. The air was thick with the smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke, which always made me feel a bit uneasy.

"Yo, you sure this is okay? You know how uncomfortable I am when it comes to Cigarrettes." I said and they laughed.

"Come on, It's a bar. Not a church." Jax said and the others laughed.

I shrugged and sat, waiting for the service girl to serve us some drinks.

As we walked to our table, I looked around the bar and saw a group of girls at the other end of the room. My friends immediately started checking them out, but I couldn't bring myself to care.

"Check that black haired one out. She is giving you the eye. Go talk to her." Jax said, nudging Ricky and I just laughed

I'd never been one to show interest in girls, and I wasn't about to start now. My friends didn't seem to notice my lack of interest and decided to go talk to them.

I stayed at the table and watched as they walked over to the girls. One of them, a blonde with bright red lipstick, saw me sitting alone and decided to come over. She had a confident stride that told me she was used to getting what she wanted.

"Hey there," she said, flashing a smile. "Why aren't you joining your friends?"

I looked up at her and gave her a slight nod. I could tell she was the kind of girl who was used to getting her way, but I wasn't about to give in to her.

"I'm fine here," I said, trying to sound nonchalant.

She didn't seem deterred.

"You could be much better if you just whung outwith us a little. The bar is not achurch. It's a place to dump your worries in and have fun." She said and I sighed.

I felt myself getting more and more annoyed with her as she prattled on about herself. I wasn't interested in her, but she didn't seem to get the hint.

"Well, I have heard that the bar is not the church. And I don't really care." I said and she looked at me again.

She tried putting her hands around my crotch and I sllaped her hands away, giving a cold glare.

Eventually, my friends came back to the table with drinks in their hands. They could tell I was irritated and tried to calm me down. But the girl didn't seem to want to leave me alone.

"Why are you so rude?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips. "Just because you are hot, and a millionaire, doesn't mean you can treat a woman any way you like." She said and I scoffed

I glared at her, not wanting to engage in a conversation with her.

"I knew it, truly its always the rich ones that feel themselves higher than others. What is so special about you?" She asked again and I glared silently at her, sipping from my glass.

I was Alexei Kovalenko and I tended to have girls flock around me. And whenever I turned them down this was always how they reacted, it didn't surprise me.

I stood up from the table, my patience wearing thin. "Look, I'm not interested in you, okay? Can you please leave me alone?"

She looked taken aback by my bluntness, but she finally got the message and walked away. My friends looked at me with a mix of amusement and concern.

"You didn't have to be so rude," one of them said.

I rolled my eyes. "I wasn't trying to be rude. I just didn't want to talk to her."

My friends ordered another round of drinks to calm me down, and I started to relax. But then something happened that changed the mood of the whole bar.

A new waitress walked in, and all eyes were instantly on her. She was stunning, with long brown hair that cascaded down her back and piercing blue eyes that seemed to sparkle in the dim light. She was wearing a tight black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, causing the guys to ogle her as she walked by.

She wnt straight to the counter and flashed a smile at both the waitresses at the counter. She looked towards her table and it looked like she was coming to serve us.

And I felt that attraction I had not felt in years towards a girL. I felt it. She swiftly packed her haur in a pony tail and walked up to our table.

"Well, Hello. I am here to get your drink order. What would you like?" She said wiyh a small smile. She looked like she was tired and exhausted. I sat up and stared at her face, when suddenly Jax stood up.He looked like he was already drunk.

And whenever Jax is drunk, he tends to act out of the ordinary.

"Hello, little lady. Wow, you really are beautiful to behold. Since you do not have plenty customers, how about you serve us, along side with your body?" He asked and She closed her eyes in what seemed like disgust.

"Jax stop it." Ricky said and tried to drag him to sit when he pushed Ricky away.

"Yeah? What do you say?" Jax said and she closed her menu pad.

"Well, I am not a stripper, and this is not a strip club. If you want a strip club, I'd be happy to show you to one. I can take your order for drinks however." She said. I looked at her name tage, and I saw "Mia" Labled on it.

Mia. She looked like one of the girls who had principles. And that was even more attractive.

"We will pay you for it." Jax said and I stared at him unbelievably. I didn't want to be involved with this, but somehow I didn't want this spiralling out of control.

"Jax, its okay." I said, trying to convince him to sit down but he wouldn't. He grabbed her butts and she whirled around and slapped him hard.

"Don't you ever lay filthy hands on me, ever again." She said and the whole bar went silent. Jax sobered up and held his face.

"You bitch!" Jax yelled and the other waiters came running out.

"What is the problem, Mister?" The one who seemed like the oldest asked, and Mia glared at Jax angrily.

"Excuse me, can we have your attention please?" he bellowed, drawing murmurs of surprise from the other patrons. "This young lady here has been disrespecting us and our patronage. I demand that you come out here and do something about it." He yelled angrily and the owners of the bar came out of the inside room.

The owners of the bar - a middle-aged couple with stern expressions and no-nonsense attitudes - finally appeared from the back room. They looked annoyed at being interrupted, but also curious to know what was going on. "What's the problem here, gentlemen?" the man asked, rubbing his bald head in irritation.

"Your employee just hit me in the face, just because I made a joke. I demand you fire her at once." Jax said

I watched in horror as Mia's face turned pale and her eyes went wide with shock and fear. She knew that this was a serious matter, that her job was on the line, and she had no idea how to defend herself against their accusations.

I wanted to step in and help her, but I didn't know what to say or do. I couldn't just stand there like a useless bystander and watch my friends ruin her life.
