Chapter 3 MATE(2)

Shit. Shit. Shit. I just splashed a tub of Ice cream on Alpha Damien and demanded for my money back? I am so dead.

I push by the guy standing beside him and run. I run as far as my legs could carry me until I reached the safety of my apartment then locked the door.

I stood behind the door for some seconds breathing very loud from the workout.

My Ice cream, I almost cry aloud.

"Finally I am safe." I mutter to myself and was still panting when Ariel appeared.

"Everything alright with you?" She asks, worried.

"I'm in so much trouble" I slump into the sofa in the sitting room.

This isn't the way I planned to end my day. I was supposed to end it in a warm tub and going to bed.

I honestly just hope he won't send his men after me.

After instructing all my guards to parade the town in search of those rogues, I was already feeling really irritated. Like what the actual fuck? All these talk of mate is getting to me and now I'm feeling down in the trenches.

"Can we go home early? I have an appointment with someone" I smirk.

"If it is not Dana? She's a fine lady but we can't go yet, not anytime soon. We're both here for one thing and it is to look for our mates" Adam chides.

I only shrug

"Ooh. There's an ice cream shop. I haven't had one in a while. Want to get one with me?" Adam asks

"No." I refuse immediately. An Alpha slurping on Ice cream, how delectable.

"Thank you so much. Why aren't you my mate instead?" Adam coos while not taking my answer into consideration

"Let's go." He says and pulls my arm along. I pull my hand out of his hold and just follow wordlessly.

As soon as I walked in, everyone noticed and acknowledged my presence. They all bow but I didn't acknowledge them because a familiar scent wafted straight into my nose. The kind of familiar scent that's sweet but that same scent you can taste but can't recognize. That scent got me already distracted but I still couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

"What is wrong?" Adam asks, noticing as I sniff the air in all directions in search of the origin of the scent.

My wolf was restless inside me as it kept on muttering the word "Mate".

I guess my mate is in the room, just then, a bitch splashed her Ice Cream on me
