Chapter 5 Can We Divorce Now

Waylon's face darkened at once. "Who was it?"

"If I'm not mistaken, his name is Kenneth. That annoying guy Wesley was also there."

"What? Stella is cheating on Waylon?" Zoey's face darkened with anger. "How shameless that woman is! Where is she now? I'll tear her face apart!"

"Stella told me that she and Waylon signed the divorce papers." Adrian saw that Waylon's face turned even darker. "Waylon, is it true?"

Waylon pursed his lips and didn't say anything. Apparently, he acquiesced to it.

Zoey was stunned for a while, thinking of something. Then she smiled and said, "That's good. She is quite sensible. I only accept Ayla as my daughter-in-law. Stella is nothing."

For some unknown reason, Zoey's words sounded particularly harsh to Waylon. He shouted, "Enough!"

He picked up his coat, turned around, and left the house.

Adrian stared at Waylon's back in a daze. Then he turned to Zoey and asked, "Mom, is Stella not coming back?"

Zoey snorted. "Let's see if she dares! She won't get a penny from Waylon."

Adrian fell silent and lowered his head, lost in thought.

Suddenly, he sensed that someone was staring at him from above. He subconsciously looked up.

He saw Ayla standing quietly on the second floor. He had no idea how long she had been there.

When Ayla saw Adrian's surprised expression, she smiled and called out in a particularly gentle tone, "Adrian."

Adrian remembered what he had heard from Zoey. It was said that Ayla was the only child of a business tycoon, and she was very helpful to Waylon's career. On the contrary, Stella was just an orphan and would only squander Waylon's money.

So it was obvious who between them was a better woman to marry.

Adrian immediately put on a friendly smile and greeted, "Ayla."

The next day, Stella got up early to dress herself up.

She took out a black dress from her wardrobe and put it on. She only wore it once for Waylon, but he said it was ugly. Since then, she just kept it and never wore it again.

But today, she not only wore it but also put on delicate makeup. With her burgundy lipstick, she looked imposing.

Waylon and Stella went to the City Hall together.

Stella feigned a smile and said, "I'm very busy today, so we'd better finish it as soon as possible."

Seeing the smile on her face, Waylon asked, "Why are you in such a hurry? Is it because of that male model?"

Stella was stunned for a moment. Then she realized that Waylon had misunderstood something.

But she didn't bother to explain. Instead, she raised her eyebrows, smiled faintly, and said, "I don't think you have the right to interfere in my personal affairs."

Waylon didn't like her attitude. The way she treated him, it was as if he was an insignificant person to her.

"Do you love him?"

His questioning made Stella a little impatient. "Yes, I love him. Any other questions? If there is none, can we divorce now?"

Waylon pressed his lips into a straight line. His handsome face was cold. It was as if it was covered with a layer of frost.

Since Stella was in such a hurry, he would fulfill her wish.

It only took them a few minutes to go through the divorce formalities.

Stella looked at the divorce certificate in her hand, and she suddenly felt sad.

From now on, they wouldn't have anything to do with each other. She wouldn't have to compromise for him anymore.

She took a deep breath to suppress all the pain in her heart. When she raised her head again, she was already smiling brightly.

At this moment, a black Maybach stopped in front of her.

Kenneth got out of the car. His sharp eyes looked up. And when he saw her, a charming smile appeared on his face. "I'm here to pick you up."

Stella looked at Kenneth in confusion. "Where is Wesley? Didn't he say he was coming?"

"He went to Bliss to book the whole bar so that we can celebrate tonight. He asked me to pick you up." As he spoke, Kenneth took her bag naturally. "Stella, get in the car. I'll take you to a place."
