Chapter 5 5 The Mysterious Man

Laura didn't know that she was offered to Edo by Aldrich who was annoyed at the constant pressure to marry. Instead, she relaxed in front of the TV in the living room with Georgia who also liked watching drama.

The show aired every Monday to Friday at 8 pm on private TV, Laura really idolized some of the cast such as Gerald Andrews, Shane Johnson , and Keira Rose.

Consciously or not, secretly a man who had magical powers was able to penetrate a person's mind as far as the human being is.

The man wanted Laura's blood and heart because she was a descendant of king from a kingdom in England who had turned him into a vampire. He wanted to take revenge by making all the descendants as a vampire.

He would suck the blood of Vienna, Georgia, and especially Laura who were still fresh and pure, untouched by any man.

So, who is this mysterious man?

Edo had just returned from Neptunus Cafe, he thought about telling Laura Aldrich's plan, so that she knew that her boyfriend is not worthy of being Laura's husband in the future.

Edo then sat on the living room sofa while thinking about something.

"It's just that, Aldrich, why the girl was offered to me? What kind of stuff is she?" Edo asked himself.

His hand wanted to take the cellphone from his bag which was just placed on the table. It wasn't long before Edo's younger brother appeared there, surprising Edo by patting him on the shoulder.

"Bro, what are you doing sitting here? Why you aren't going inside and eating together with me"

"Eh, I thought it was your ghost, Vid." Edo gasped when he saw his brother.

"Don't scare me anymore, it won't work anymore," said David, sitting next to Edo.

"I am still confused with Aldrich," said Edo.

"Confused why? Did your friend throw a tantrum?" David asked curiously.

"No... not that but about the girl, you know Laura right?"

"I know, what happen between you and Sis Laura?"

"You must know that I have liked that girl for a long time," said Edo.

"Really?? I just found out, Bro."

"If I become her boyfriend, maybe we had already engaged... not like Aldrich who doesn't want to commit yet," said Edo.

"Don't dream, do you really want to date with her, big brother?" David's question seemed to be condescending to Edo.

"Well, that's it, you don't doubt if she wants to be with me or not. Aldrich asked me to be Feilika's boyfriend because he wasn't ready to get engaged, let alone get married," explained Edo to his brother.

"Yes, that is good. I totally agree, he ... he ... he," David joked.

"I really want to be her boyfriend, but she didn't like me," snorted in annoyance.

"What did he say to you?"

"He said that he didn't want to be Laura's husband, if she wants to marry now, he will break up with that girl and I'll take it... he offered Laura like he's offering something like that, he is really weird."

"I think Aldrich is not really serious with Sis Laura," replied David, guessing their relationship.

"This time ... what is clear is that I don't want to interfere, that's it," said Edo.

"Well, instead of thinking about other people, let's just eat," said David.

"By the way, where are the others?" Edo felt that his house was quiet, not as crowded as usual.

"Earlier, when you went to the cafe, mom, dad, and sis Pricil also went. They were invited to eat with dad's business friends." David explained.

"Then what are you cooking or buying out?"

"I was buying foods from the application."

"Is that so? Let's eat, I am really hungry. The plan to eat at the cafe failed because of what Aldrich said," Edo grumbled.

"Don't talk about him anymore, okay. Just make you angry," said David.

Then, they both immediately left the living room to eat their dinner.

Aldrich was still thinking about Laura and Vienna's words, he hadn't gone home yet because he didn't want to be bothered by Laura. His cell phone was turned off after meeting Edo earlier.

'I won't see you tomorrow, Laura. I am too lazy to talk about marriage'. Robert thought.

Half an hour later, Aldrich decided to go home after spending a long time at Neptunus Cafe, before he went home suddenly a woman ran towards Aldrich and screamed for help.

"Please! Help me!"

The woman approached Aldrich with a frightened face as if being chased by someone.

"H--help me... th--that person--"

"That person?? What's wrong with you?" asked Aldrich, both surprised and confused.

"S--Sir, please hide me." She pleaded with Robert.

"Come out through that door, there is an employee mess. Hurry up," he ordered.

"Thank you, Sir."

After Aldrich the hiding place to the woman he had just met, soon a tall and mean-looking man entered the cafe.

"Where is she?! Winnie! You must marry me!" the man rebuked.

Aldrich casually pretended not to know what was going on between them, then quickly got up from his seat and walked out the back door.

Aldrich wanted to ascertain whether the woman was really hiding in the Neptunus Cafe employee mess or not.

Meanwhile, the woman called Winnie disappeared somewhere like being swallowed by the earth. Would Aldrich be able to find Winnie or not?

Laura turned off the television and asked Georgia to sleep together in her room.

"Auntie, let's sleep in my room."

"Why do you invite Auntie to sleep with you, what's wrong? Do you want to vent?" Georgia guessed.

"Yes ... I want to talk about Robert," said Feilika.

"Okay, my dear niece, Auntie will sleep in your room and listen to all your complaints." Georgia smiled sincerely.

"I am sorry, I am so troublesome," replied Laura reluctantly.

"It's okay. Auntie is happy if you want to confide in Auntie."

"Ssshhh... but don't tell my mom when I talk about Aldrich to Auntie."

"Don't worry, Auntie won't tell anyone, really."

Then Georgia took Laura's hand and led her into the room after turning off the living room light. It was a long night for Laura because she kept talking about her relationship with Aldrich.

Georgia was very enthusiastic about hearing Laura's outpouring of heart, over time she began to like Aldrich's personality. Elsewhere, the mysterious man felt his heart burning with anger and jealousy.

"Laura, one day I will bring you and Aldrich into my world. You can't marry her," The mysterious man muttered, grinning, baring his fangs slightly.

The man was terrifying in his true form. His disguise as an actor managed to fool all the crew, directors, producers, and those around him.
