Chapter 2 Maria's POV

I nodded my head and the nurse left me in the corridor. Then, I realised that I was covered with the blood of the stranger in my hands and even my favourite white T-shirt. Was covered with the blood of that stranger. I think I should ask the stranger to buy me my T-shirt when he wakes up and because of that I think he should wake up quickly.

Argh....

I went inside the patient room and I saw him still lying down on the bed covered with small bandage across his forehead and his legs. I decreased the distance between us and sat on a chair beside his bed. Then I saw his face clearly, I got spellbound on his looks. He is looking too handsome. My phone rang showing David's name on my screen phone,I quickly left the room to answer the call.

"Hey, guy what's happening? Why are you calling me at this hour? Is everything okay?" I asked David after lifting his call, he has never called me by this time of the hour as it is his work time. I felt a bit worried, like something bad is going to happen.

"Babygirl where are you?" David asked me

"I'm in the hospital", I said to him.

Why, what's happened to you sweetheart? When? How? Which hospital...... David questioned me with a lot of his questions, he didn't give me any chance to speak.

' face it, baby like a brother, like a sister'.my subconscious said to me. I ignored it.

'Hey, I'm fine, just that when I was about to go home, I saw an accident and I admitted to take him to the hospital and now he is alright". I said to David. I tried my best to answer his unasked questions too because I know those are the answers for his future questions.

"Sweetheart, Lily and I are in your apartment right now, we both have something important to say to you just try and come fast. "Don't ask any future questions, just drag your legs here, bye sweetheart." With that, David ended the call.

I knew something is wrong, I don't have time. I picked a card and write "get well soon" with a smile emoji. I placed the card beside the stranger's bed and I just paid the hospital and medication bills from my savings and I told the nurse to take care of the stranger and left the hospital.

" After Maria left the hospital then the senior doctor who came for rounds in the morning Noticed that the stranger(patient) on the bed is none other than the most popular and eligible billionaire bachelor ALEX WILLIAM.

"Actual that junior doctor who nurse who treated Alex last night were new to both city and hospital so they failed to recognize Alex. But unlike them, that senior doctor knows very well about the power and wealtt own by Alex and his family. In fact, they own this hospital alone with their restaurant chains, textile business and two other businesses.

When that senior doctor was about to inform Alex's family about his current condition. Alex opened his eyes......

Maria never knew anything about Alex, she yet didn't know that she saved a billionaire's life. Maria was never interested in business new.

ALEX's P.O.V

"Any meetings?" I asked her in my usual professional tone.

"Yes sir" she listened all my schedules for this day and she handed some files which I need to go through.

"You can go back to your work now." I said to her and with that she left my room. I began to go through all the reports from different departments and files which contain some important information which is needed to be discussed in today's meeting.

My phone rang and it's was a fro. The extension line, "what is it?"

"Sir, your meeting is about to began and everyone is already there waiting for you." She said in a professional way, I looked at the time and it's was already two hours since I came to my office and it's was already five minutes remaining for the meeting to get started.

"Alright, I will be there. I said and ended the call. I stood up and pick my phone and files and some reports left my office for the meeting. After three hours the meeting ended. When I entered my office, my phone rang showing John's name on the screen. I sat on the chair and picked my phone.

"Hey, John" John is my best friend. We have been friends since kindergarten. John's parents died in a car accident. And now his grandfather is forcing him to take over the family business as he is the only heir. However, my friend John always hates his grandpa's idea, he always wants to enjoy himself. He is a carefree guy.

" We are going to a pub tonight Alex, no excuses today, no business and that's final." He said, and ended the call.

Again, my phone rang again, this time around it was my mum showing on my screen phone.

"Hello! Mummy, how are you?" I asked after picking my mum's call.

We are fine. What about you son? She asked me with her sweet voice. My mom is a kind person but my dad is stubborn and arrogant just like me. I don't actually know how they fell in love, but they love each other a late till date.

"Son, you need to need to come home for dinner tonight." My mom said to me. I think that's a very good idea anyhow so without wasting much time, I said my decision without a second.

"Sounds great. I'm in mom." With that, I ended the call.

" I'm 27 years old, I started my business when I was 23 years old but as I'm the only heir I merged my company with my dad's One. When he retired from his CEO position, he handover our family business to me and thus I ended up as the CEO of our company. My first project after becoming the CEC of this company is an Asian's project. It is the most prestigious to our family and my image too, as it is my first project. I'm gonna deal after inheriting this company. So I decided at any cost that I'm gonna win it either by hook or crook.
