Chapter 2
"Alright Adrienne, see you tomorrow. Bye." Samantha smiled and waved at Adrienne as she rolled up the tinted windows of the car.
"Bye!" Sofia and Jasmine chorused.
"She's a proud bitch! I hate her with passion." Sofia spat out spitefully as she glared angrily at the moving cars.
"Yeah, you're right. She acts as if she's a princess or some sort of royalty or god." Jasmine added with a loud, angry hiss.
"Why are you two hating on her? She hasn't done anything wrong and for the record, we are her friends and it's totally not right that we speak ill of her in that manner.
She's our friend and she deserves our respect whether she's here or not. You didn't say all these things to her front but your mouth are sharp to say them behind her backs." Samantha chastised.
"Hehehe..." Jasmine laughed mockingly. "How's it your business with the way we speak about her huh? Are you going to tell her about today? Go on, good girl." Jasmine scoffed and eyed Sam angrily.
"My ride is here already. Bye girls, see you tomorrow." Sam gave a small smile and left them.
"She always has a way of running away anytime we're about to talk sense into her. And who told her we are friends with Adrienne?" Sofia laughed.
"I was just as surprised as you are. We are just friends with Adrienne because she's wealthy, popular, beautiful and the class president. Being with her as friends also makes us popular." Jasmine concurred.
The two girls looked at each other and smirked.

"Welcome young mistress." The servants bowed lightly at Adrienne as she walked into the huge mansion that looked like a castle.
There were many servants and guards in the house.
"Where is my mom?" Adrienne asked nobody in particular.
The head female servant stepped forward with her head still bowed.
"She left the country this morning after you went to school. She'll be back in a week's time, young mistress." The servant replied calmly and very politely.
Adrienne gritted her teeth angrily and stomped out of the sitting room. But she suddenly stopped walking and walked back to meet the servants.
"And my dad?" She asked with a little glint of hope in her eyes.
"He left this afternoon for a business meeting and he'll be back over morrow, young mistress." The servant replied.
"Perfect! Just perfect! Why am I surprised? It's not like this is the first time I'm left all alone in this huge mansion." Adrienne scoffed angrily and ran all the way up to her room.
The stairs was long and curved. She finally got to her room and the next thing, her shoes, backpack and socks were flying all over the room.
"Ah!" She screamed angrily and broke the flower vase that just got replaced that morning after she broke the previous one.
She got into the bathroom and her bath was already ready for her. She took her bath and by the time she was out of the exquisite bathroom, her room was already cleaned up. The flower vase was already cleaned and her things were already kept in place.
On the bed laid what she was going to wear. She toweled her body and wore the pink romper that was on the bed.
She sat in front of her dressing mirror and blow-dried her wet and long brown hair.
Adrienne stopped midway into blowdrying her hair and just stared at her self in the mirror.
She took out her phone and flipped it opened.
She saw a text from Daniel but she wasn't happy. She opened the message and dropped her phone back without typing anything.
Adrienne is the only child of her very wealthy parents. Her parents owned a joint business that was doing excellently well.
Her parents were high ranking people in the country and they were well respected in the whole of England.
Her grandfather is a Duke in England. But not everybody especially in her school knew she was the Duke's granddaughter as she didn't want things to worsen more than it was as the students knows how powerful and rich her parents were.
They treated her like a god and she didn't quite like it. It was as if she was different from all of them. Another thing they didn't know at school was that, her parents owned the school.
Her parents were always on one trip to another that they barely had time for her.
As the young heiress of the family and royalty, she was taught how to live in wealth and power.
She wasn't allowed to do anything and if it was possible, the maids would bath her too but she was totally against it.
She didn't even know her way to the kitchen because she had no business there. She was just so sit in the dinning room and her food would be brought to her. Or if she needed anything from the kitchen, she would order one of the maids.
Her life was practically boring as it was either she was in school, a dinner party with royalties or from one royal ball to another.
Her parents also takes her to the company once in a while and tell her things because she was the heir to their wealth.
Her parents were both conglomerates, they owned chains of businesses.
Anybody would think she was a happy young and fulfilled teenage girl but she wasn't.
She didn't have any younger or older sibling to play with and she was restricted to so many things.
She wasn't even the king's daughter but she was made to live like a princess that wasn't free to do anything she wanted to.
She wasn't happy and coupled with the fact that, she rarely get to see her parents and spend time with them.
In a month, she could be with them just twice and that's all.
She was even more angry that her mother didn't inform her that she was leaving that day.
Adrienne sighed and stood up from her dressing table. She packed her hair in a ponytail and laid on her bed.
There was a soft knock on the door and it made Adrienne grumble.
"My lady, dinner is served." A servant spoke from outside.
"I'm not hungry." She yelled angrily and covered her face with her pillow.
The door opened and Adrienne growled.
"Go away! I said I'm not hungry!" She kicked her legs on the bed.
"Baby." She heard her mother's calm and soft voice. She removed the pillow from her face and sat on the bed and stared at her mother.
"Mom?" She called out in surprise.
"Yes, it's me baby." Her mother smiled.
Adrienne bursted into hot tears and hugged her mother tightly.
