Chris heard footsteps echoing across the stone floor and when he noticed it was his boss he immediately straightened himself and faced him, not wanting to seem disrespectful.
A frown appeared on Dylan's face," why the hell is the car not running yet or do you think you are on vacation already?"
He spoke, his voice cold and angry. Chris gulped hard and didn't dare to reply, this kind of treatment usually makes him feel weak in his knees and wants to run away but somehow, he is unable to do that.
"What are you waiting for, get inside the car right now?"
Dylan growled angrily. Austin swallowed as he stood aside watching Dylan and Chris. Chris seemed confused for a while. He did not understand why the boss was angry.
"I thought he is human today or has he gone back to his devil form?"
Chris thought, blinking his eyes severally.
"Get in the car!"
Dylan roared, this time, Chris couldn't resist and quickly ran over to the driver's side and got in.
Dylan shook his head and pulled the handle of the passenger side and got in without waiting for Austin to do that for him.
When Austin recovered from the momentary shock that followed when he saw his boss opening the car for himself, he entered the car too.
"Don't be clumsy and take me to Hailey's"
Dylan instructed and rested his head back, closing his eyes.
Chris nodded wordlessly at the order and ignited the car.
They headed off for the Hospital. It is only a fifteen minute drive but it seemed long to the three of them especially with how oddly quiet inside the car is.
Austin has questions as to why they are headed to the hospital since his boss is not in any way sick. He would not dare ask those questions so as not to incur the wrath of the angry Dylan.
Austin was even surprised at the sudden change in attitude. He was looking less angry inside but when he came out and saw Chris, he became furious.
"It could be because Chris did not keep the car on standby, that can be the only possible reason he is so annoyed like this"
Austin concluded within himself. He was not far from the truth though.
Once again, the car was silent apart from the sound of their breathing.
They finally reached the Hospital.
Austin left the car first and opened the door, then he helped Dylan out.
As soon as Dylan stepped down from the car, Austin quietly closed the door and walked behind as they headed towards the hospital, leaving Chris behind in the car.
Austin had many questions regarding why Dylan insisted that his special room be set up. Austin is quite aware that Dylan doesn't like Fav so the room can't be prepared for her. He was eagerly waiting for answers to be provided for him which will start from the hospital.
They continued to walk in silence until both of them stepped into the hospital.
Dr Steve was standing at the lobby waiting for Dylan, he smiled the moment he sighted Dylan. His eyes were glued onto him and his hand reached out in his way to shake him tightly.
This made Dylan groan inwardly but nonetheless hugged the doctor back as well.
Dr Steve did not fail to notice Dylan's indifference attitude. He was the opposite of what he was when he brought the girl.
"Rich people can be confusing. You will think this one is different from the others, boom! He shows you who he is truly"
He mumbled and stared straight at Dylan.
"Sir, all the arrangements to take the girl to your residence have been made. We are just waiting for your go ahead order. You should not have come anyway, all you needed to do was send a message"
Dr Steve made sure Dylan understood the last part of his statement by raising his voice higher. As much as he appreciates Dylan so much for being so kind as a benefactor, his frequent visits to the hospital will not be tolerated, Dr Steve knows why.
"You don't tell me how I run my business, Dr Steve. The hospital is yours as mine or do I get a feeling that you don't want me here?"
Dylan retorted sternly back
Dr Steve's eyes widened in shock. This was unexpected, he did not expect Dylan to understand the meaning behind those words of his. He bowed his head slightly. He didn't have the guts to argue against Dylan right now so with his best effort to control his anger he answered, "Of course I am happy that you are visiting here, Mr Davonn.
Austin chuckled within himself, there was a look of admiration constantly in his eyes as he watched Dylan and Dr Steve talk.
"I am not the only person who gets scolded by him. His grumpiness should be a normal thing"
He mumbled to himself, happily. Dylan heard him and turned to face him,"Do you want to tell me something, Austin?"
Austin widened his eyes and stepped back a little.
"I thought as much"
Dylan stated and turned back to Dr Steve.
"I am not here to exchange pleasantries with you nor am I here on a friendly visit. Get the girl and her nurses, we are leaving right away."
Austin's ears pricked at the mention of "the girl"
"Who is she?"
He wondered.
Dr Steve bowed and left immediately.
While Austin wondered who the girl must be, he was also wondering why they are standing at the lobby like common people. His boss is not a common man which also makes him non-common.
The nurses, because of what happened earlier, did not dare look at Dylan's direction. The few one who dare to steal glances never made it obviously. Despite how mean he was before, there were still triping for him.
Few minutes had passed and Dr Steve was not back with Bella. Dylan was starting to get angry and Austin knew because of the constant line appearing and disappearing on his forehead.
"We could get into the car and wait though. I wondered what's special about the girl that he is standing here, frowning so deeply because of her"
Austin scoffed in his mind. No doubt he hates the fact that his crush is starting to care for a girl he knows nothing about. It worries him and if that happens, there will never be a possibility that there could be a chance for him and Dylan. And funny enough, when that time comes, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
