Chapter 4 Meeting

Alena couldn't understand how Ella could look normal. In fact, Mr. Albert's death has just stepped on two weeks but Ella is able to carry out her activities as usual.

Alena felt like she was getting a windfall. Her heart kept beating fast after meeting the man just now. Lias Andrea Dovizioso, that's the name of the man just now. "It's a beautiful name, she must come from a wealthy family too," Alena thought.

That morning there was really a lot of work piled up, Alena felt a little annoyed with all this time-consuming work. She wanted so badly to have a husband who was very rich so that he didn't have to work and toil like this all the time.

"Alena!" called one of the women who suddenly came over and patted her on the shoulder. That woman is Siska. She is also there. Siska does work in the same office.

"Have you seen Ella since her father's death?" She continued.

"Can't you not talk about this for a while? I'm really not excited at all." An annoyed Alena raised her voice.

"What's the matter with you? I was just being nice and you're responding like this instead?" Siska was a little annoyed with the response given by Alena.

"Then just continue your work and pretend I didn't ask like this," she continued and chose to leave the place.

"Wait! I'm sorry for being rude to you," said Alena preventing and holding Siska's hand. All this time, Alena had always been kind and never envied Siska in the slightest. Siska never matched her in any way. Alena always excelled against her best friend. So for Alena, she will not bother or hate people who have never been right in front of her. Alena is the type of person who is very selfish and does not want to be matched. She always wanted to be number one.

"Let go of my hand!" said Siska who was still annoyed.

"I haven't met Ella until now. But don't worry, I will definitely meet her as soon as possible," said Alena persuading Siska.

"Okay," said Siska who finally melted. She now reached for a candy that was right on her best friend's table. A business card accidentally fell on the floor. Siska suddenly picked it up and how surprised she was when she saw the name of the owner of the business card.

"What is it?" asked Alena, interrupting Siska's conversation.

Siska nodded. "This man's name is exactly the same as the name of Ella's lover. Of course I know him, you know the man Ella told me about? A man she loves and they are betrothed to each other? That man is none other than this man. His name is Lias," explained Siska.

Alena was very surprised to hear that. The man who had managed to make her heart flutter and fall in love for the first time was none other than the man who was also loved by Ella.

"What did you say? So this man is Ella's lover?" asked Elena.

"Yes, I really can't wait for their wedding. I also know it's just a name, you know that Ella always hides her romance," said Siska telling Alena that one day she accidentally found a birthday letter the year that Lias sent to Ella when he asked for a handbody in her best friend's room. But, Siska chose to keep her mouth shut.

"But wait ... where did you get this business card? How could Lias' business card be with you? Do you two know each other too?" continued Siska.

"This morning he accidentally bumped into me. He seems to be in a hurry so he can only give this business card so I can contact him at any time to ask him to be responsible," explained Alena with a look that looked so empty. He clenched his fists in anger, again Ella was two steps ahead of him in romance.

"Really? That means that Lias is currently in Indonesia?" Siska asked in disbelief.

"What did you say? Where has he been living all this time?" asked Elena. Siska seems to know a lot about the man and his relationship with Ella.

"So far he is studying abroad. He and Ella have a long-distance relationship. That's why Ella never brought us together with her future husband," explained Siska.

"You seem to know a lot about them."

"Not really, do you remember when it was new year? I chose to stay at Ella's house that time, while you chose to go back to your apartment. That's when you played true or dare and Ella said that she has a boyfriend who lives abroad and will married soon when her boyfriend returned to Indonesia. Meanwhile I can't ask more because I know very well how Ella is." Siska told the reason so she knew about it.

"It's okay, I still have a lot of work. Maybe during lunch time we can discuss this again," Siska continued and then left Alena without waiting for a response from the woman.

"Argh!" Alena hit the table so hard that all eyes turned to her.

"Sorry!" She continued to realize it. She chose to walk towards the toilet and closed the door tightly. She was now looking at her face in the mirror reflection. She never knew what was the reason that Ella was always right in front of her. She couldn't even beat her at all.

"What's so special about a woman like her? I thought right now I had ruined her life, but I didn't! She still has a man who loves her so much. Why was he born happy and I wasn't?" whispered Alena.

"But I will not let this happiness come back to her. I will make sure that she will never marry Lias. I will make her part with that man," she continued. Whatever happens, Alena will try to separate the two. She will snatch Lias from Ella's arms. Men must be her alone.
