Few minutes later, Joel returned with some bag of goodies, he gave Phyna her own while him and Christy sat on bed and devoured their ice cream and hot chocolate.

They gist and had a lot of fun together, they talked about life and how the strike had affected them individually. It was then that Joel had to let them know that he had surgery and almost lost his life during the break.

He explains:

It was one afternoon, I was swimming with my guys at pool when I started feeling sever stomach ache, it was intense but I didn't tell anyone because I have been feeling stomachs ache lately, so I just assume that it might be the result of alcohol that I consume.

That day, the stomach aches was different, it was kind of labor pain"

"ah, Joel! Labor pain? Have you been pregnant before? You don't even know how menstrual cramps feel like" Christy interrupted.

"Yes! I have never felt any of that, but I know that that's one of the painful experience ladies go through, so that's why I used it so that you can relate to my story" Joel said as he continues

"So, it was intense! Mom wasn't home, she went for work, dad was always on business trip, so I didn't expect him to be home, sometimes I wonder how they got to birth me, because they are barely home!

So, I took excuse from my guys and went inside, I told my nanny how I felt, she made lime orange juice for me, I drank it and lay on the sofa and slept off.

When I woke up, I found it hard to recognize the environment I were in, I felt pain all my body, and the room doesn't smell like my room.

My room has a good scent, cool, with white and purple color; my music never went off, but this place? The paint was blue, curtains blue and I was seeing people in white, their faces were way too blurry so, I couldn't picture who they where, so I assumed that I was having a nightmare, i really thought that I was having a bad dream. I shut my eyes again and try to sleep so that I could wake up in my room.

About an hour later, I woke up again; I opened my eyes, things where a lot brighter but my eyes were forced to shut down again by the light of the day.

I shut it again, and slightly opened it so that I could adjust to the brightness of the day.

I opened my eyes, I tried to get up but I couldn't, I heard a voice, sounds like my mom's. She said "he's awake, call the doctor"

"Where am I, doctor? Did I drown in the pool? Was I hit by the car? Why am I here? Am I dreaming? Where is my phone?" I asked too many questions at a time.

"Calm down Joel, you will be fine. I'm happy to see you awake, you have been on coma for the last 5 days"

"Coma? What happened to me? " I asked.

"Well, you need rest my boy, I will tell you everything when you are sound" my mom said as the doctors walked in to examine me.

So, it happened that after taking that lemon juice, I rested a bit and felt relieved, so I decided to go back to the pool, I stood up from the couch and slumped, I was rushed to the hospital where tests was ruined on me and they confirmed that I had Appendix, and I needed to be operated on as soon as possible, they did the surgery the following morning and it took me 5 fucking days to regain my consciousness.

I didn't tell you about it because I don't want you to feel worried. The most important thing is that I'm here, healthy and happy" he said..

" OMG, babe!!!! You went through all these without telling me? Just because you are considering how I will react to it? Awn!" Christy said as she hugged him tightly. Such that he felt the softness of her breast, she then kissed him deeply.

"You really went through dark days, thank God you made it through" Phyna said.

"Babe please, stop hiding stuffs from me, I'm not only here for the best part, I'm here for the ugly too" Christy said as she made some kind of face.

Joel promised to always carry her along.

He showed then the scars.

"I really missed you that period because I had to stay away from my phone for some times, and I'm sorry for lying to you, you remembered when I texted you that I followed my dad to a business trip and we won't be calling each other on videos till I return? Yeah! That was the darkest moment of my life" Joel stated.

"It's okay; I forgive you but let it be the last!" Christy warned him.

"It's a promise" Joel affirmed.

They talked about school and how far they would have gone if the school didn't go on strike.

"We would have been looking for our dream jobs by now, or probably working" Phyna said.

"As for me, I would have opened my Art studio by now, and might probably in the journey on opening an art school for the less privileged with raw talents" Joel added

"What of you baby, where would you have been? " Joel asked Christy.

"I don't know, loving you is my dream! I would have loved you deeper than this" Christy said as she kissed him deeply again.

"You can't be serious baby! I know you would have loved me deeper but I'm talking about your academic pursuits" Joel explained

"I know darling, you are my school and I wish not to graduate any time soon" Christy said as he leaned forward and kissed him deeply again and again and again.

"Hmm" Phyna made a sound and said "I'm still here, hope you didn't think I have vanished through the thing air."

They stopped kissing and laughed.

Then, someone knocked on the door.

"Who is that, come in, its open" Phyna said.

The door opened and it was Bella, Christy and Phyna rushed down from bed and went to give her a warm embrace.

Joel watched and smiled they all showed their excitement for seeing each other after a long vacation.

They welcomed him warmly, and helped her arranged her stuffs in her coner.

She's looking more plumpy, fresh and fairer.

It's only Christy that didn't change, she hardly change physically, even her childhood pictures still carries her current face. So it's not in her nature to change.

Joel stayed for some time and left. Christy saw him off and bid him good bye, she stood and watched him drove off then she went back to her hostel.
