Chapter 2 Last Day In School

" Daisie!!!! it's time to go to school," I heard my aunt voice all the way from the kitchen. " Get up or else you would be late for your last paper!" she yelled so loud, my aunt voice was usually so loud and active. No wonder she had always sang with my mom back then when I was much younger.

" Phew! Thank goodness it was just a dream. God please I don't want to have a dream such as bad as this ever again!" I tightened my eyes. When I was about hopping out of my bed, I felt my covers drenched. Oh shit!, it must have been the dream. It was so terrifying as fuck. How can someone have such a dream scary as that?

" Daisy!! it's 8am already, and you exam starts by 9am!!" she yelled again.

" I'm up aunt! I am getting ready, I would be there soon!" I announced as I quickly threw myself into the bathroom.

I had less than an hour to be in the class room for my last papers, I rushed with my bath by spending just six minutes to bath. Maybe when I return I would take another bath before I assist aunt in her work.

I walked downstairs and met aunt almost done making breakfast. " Good morning, Aunt Jessica." I kissed her cheek, as I tossed beside her with my school bag hung on my shoulder.

" Hey, did you sleep well?" she asked, her hands working on the toasted bread.

" Uh- yeah sure, and I hope you did aunt?" I asked. I didn't want to tell her about the dream, I would be over late if I had to start narrating to her about the dream.

And beside I don't think it was something I should tell her, I don't want her getting worried over something as petty as that. It was just a nightmare and everyone do have nightmares sometimes.

" It was good." she said, she was adding some butter to the sliced bread, while the ones she toasted she was keeping it back in the oven. Maybe that one was for lunch, we normally don't have time to make lunch because we are always busy with work.

" Daisie please eat something, before you go," she said. Aunt Jessica had always forced me to eat breakfast whenever I leave for school despite knowing that I don't like having breakfast. She would always say, ' if you don't eat breakfast you will fall sick! And develop ulcer.' because of that I would just quit protesting and have my breakfast. But I don't think I would today.

" Aunt it's my last paper today, so I won't take much time in school," I shook my head. " I have to go now, I don't want to miss my papers. It's my last paper and it's very important." I kissed her goodbye.

" Okay Daisie, come early so we can plan a little surprise for your birthday tomorrow!" she said, and that halt my steps immediately.

" Birthday?" I repeated. Shit, I don't even remember tomorrow is my birthday. I rolled my eyes as if I had always remember before. I don't recall when last I remembered or celebrated my birthday since my parents died.

" I don't care aunt. It's nothing to me." I rolled my eyes. I wanted to cross passed the porch when she screamed..

" It's your eighteen years birthday Daisie!!" she said, and I had to take my eyes back at her. I stared at her, she was smiling excitedly.

" What's so especial about my eighteen years birthday?" I asked. She knows I had never gotten intrigue in birthdays since I became an orphan, so why was she adding so much spice to this?

" Daisie, don't you know? It's the age where you will find your mate and you don't get to be lonely anymore!" she ran towards me, embracing me and planting kisses on my forehead.

" Oh alright, alright..." I rolled my eyes behind her. I'm not too excited about the birthday, but she was excited. It's been so long I saw her this happy, yeah since her twin sister died. Now she was so happy because I was going to clock eighteen soon.

" Alright aunt, anything that makes you happy makes me happy as well." we were not rich and we were not even average. We work everyday to survive, to put body and soul together. I know the surprise she would be planning to do, would be little but also would be the most precious thing to me.

I looked at the wrist watch in my hand. Oh bloody shit! I have just twenty minutes be in class! " Aunt! I have to go now! Bye I love you!" I kissed her gain.

" I love you too, honey." Jessica smiled, as she waved at me until I went out of her sight.

Thank goodness I school in our pack. Moonlight pack is a huge pack, that has almost everything in it. Except for a strict and cruel Alpha so to say.

I ran to my class, settled and waited for the test questions to be distributed among us.
