Chapter 6 Found her!

She came down the steps approaching the breakfast table. Today she wore a royal blue long sleeved shirt and white trousers. She even had a faint smile on her face.

"Good morning." she greeted the family before sitting down.

"Good morning. " Luke got out of his trance and greeted back. She nodded at him with a smile.

Chloe and Mr Cheng were suprised. Since when did this too make up. A smile formed on Chloe's face.

"It's sure is a good morning. You look beautiful today Juliet. " she looked at Juliet and said.

Juliet simply smiled. Her smile is entrancing , Luke thought. He noticed that he couldn't focus on eating as she sat there gisting with Chloe. He ate quickly and left the table.

"Oh?" Chloe was suprised.

"What's wrong with this guy now?" she curled her lips and asked Juliet, " you two seem to have settle your differences. You're not fighting anymore right?"

Juliet was silent before saying, "maybe."

Maybe? Chloe parted her lips. Atleast that was better than before.

"I'll be off now." Mr Cheng stood up and after saying goodbye, he left the table.

"I think we should go somewhere exciting. You should look around the city." Chloe suggested as they sat down on the table.

"Maybe some other time. Thank you." Juliet apologized. She was just waiting for positive results from her mother's search.

Luke sat at the balcony with his head phone playing games on his tablet. He occasionally glances at the laptop by his side. He even got used to seeing nothing. What am I thinking , we just posted it yesterday. He focused on his game anyways.

After a while, he stood up and went to his room. The two girls were watching cartoon on TV. Seriously! Ignoring them, he went to his room. After keeping his laptop on the table, he turned back to his bed but turned abruptly. He hurried back and sat down.

There was a response on Reunion. Someone responded. He quickly entered the profile. It was a middle aged woman. Surprisingly, she was also serching for her daughter . There was even Juliet's young photos on her profile.

Juliet took his phone immediately and called Juliet.

"Hurry up to my room. I just found your mum!" , he said loudly.

"Really? I'm coming.!' the voice on the other side was clearly agitated.

Chloe just saw Juliet standing up abruptly and rushing upstairs. Wait, she just spoke to brother. What are this two up to? She wondered.

Juliet pushed open the door and rushed to Luke.

"Is she the one?", Luke asked.

Juliet just broke into tears cupping her face with her palms.

"I found her. I finally found her." she sniffed.

Luke stood up and patted her shoulders consoling her.

"Stop crying now. Haven't we found her?"

Juliet looked up and him and bowed her head slightly "thank you."

"No need for that. I made a promise. " he waved his hand.

She wiped her tears and asked earnestly, " Can I set a meeting?"

Uhum. He nodded and sat down. Juliet pulled the other stool and sat too.

" I sent her a message just now and she said that the description matches her daughter perfectly. She also wishes to meet you. I'll ask her where she is now." he said and sent the message.

I'm also in Beijing.

The both of them were elated. Luke chose a location and sent it to her. She quickly agreed. They'll be meeting tomorrow at 2.

Juliet took a deep breath as everything seemed like a dream.

Luke turned around and crossed his hands on the chair resting his head.

"I fulfilled my promise. You'll reunite with your mum." , he said.

She looked at him and hesitated before asking, "can you come with me. Just in case......."

"Sure!" she didn't expect him to answer immediately. She smiled after his agreement.

"Should we tell Chloe and mr Cheng?", she inquired.

"Let's comfirm it first.", he shook his head.

"Okay." she nodded and stood up. She smiled at him before leaving for her room. Luke looked at her back silhouette with a satisfied expression. He felt refreshed after doing something helpful for a long time.

A little while later, he heard a knock on the door. He stood up and opened the door expectedly but sighted his sister.

"What?" he frowned.

Chloe exclaimed and crossed her arms "where you expecting someone else? What is it that I dont know?"

"Stop poking your nose into other's business. " he snorted and banged the door on her.

Chloe stood there dumbfounded. Good thing, he didn't hit her nose. Hmmp. She hissed and went to Juliet's room. When Juliet opened the room, Chloe saw her smiling happily, even her eyes were shining. This is puzzling.

Juliet pulled her into the room and they sat on the bed.

"Why are you so happy?" Chloe couldn't help but ask.

"I'm just excited. " Juliet laughed not spilling anything. She had the full confidence that it was her mother.

"Is this connected to my brother?" Chloe looked at her inquisitively.

Juliet moved her hair and nodded.

Chloe came to realization. There is something going on.

"You two.......are a thing now." she cried out.

"Hell no. How is that possible? That's not it!" Juliet quickly shook her head. What was Chloe thinking in her head.

Chloe curled her lips . Clearly, she didn't believe her.

"Let's go back to the living room. " Juliet pulled her hand and went downstairs. Chloe just giggled on the way.

All through the day, Juliet was just expecting tomorrow. She even spent hours picking the clothes she was going to use.
