Chapter 8 Back in the office

Tessa's Point of View:

We did not talk much on the way to the airport that morning. Grayson was busy with calls and emails. I was totally fine with this as I was emotionally and physically tired. I really just wanted to be home and in the comfort of my own bed.

We boarded the private jet and I got comfortable.

Grayson walked in and I could not help but stare at him. He was so incredibly attractive. Now that I knew he was the one that gave me that night of utter bliss, I could not stop myself from getting turned on every time I laid eyes on him. He saw me staring at him and I quickly looked away to hide my blushing.

He strode toward me and sat down. I was confused by this since the plane has 16 seats and last time, he sat far from me.

Grayson's Point of View:

I boarded the private jet and my eyes instantly landed on Tessa.

She looked very comfortable under a cozy blanket. She has physical similarities to my wife that drew me to her originally. But these last few days has shown me that her personality is different than my wife's and all I wanted was to know more about her.

I glanced at her eyes and saw her looking at me. She blushed and looked away.

I just wanted to be close to her. Before I knew it, I was sitting next to her.

I have held my guard up for so long that I didn't realize until now how much she has helped me lower it. She had this power over me that I don't think she even knew she had. Sitting next to her felt so natural. Almost as if we have known each other for a lifetime.

I opened my laptop and started working. I still had quite a bit of work to do and so I dove right in. I was busy typing away when I felt Tessa cozy up to my arm and fall asleep. I did not want to disturb her. I shut my laptop, laid my head back on the seat and closed my eyes.

Tessa's Point of View:

I was startled awake by a little turbulence. I don't even remember falling asleep.

I looked over at Grayson, his eyes were shut, and he looked so peaceful. His lips looked so soft and inviting. I so badly wanted to kiss him.

There was no one else around. It was just us. Maybe he could be another first for me. I had never had sex on an airplane. As I was staring at him his eyes opened and he looked at me.

All I could muster out of my mouth was "hi." My heart was racing. He tilted his head down at me and said "hi."

I could not hold back anymore. I grabbed his face closer to mine and kissed him.

Grayson's Point of View:

She kissed me. I know I would have if she hadn't initiated it. Her kiss was sensual yet aggressive and it instantly turned me on.

Does he like me? Am I more to him than sex? Is he more to me than sex?

I still didn't know a whole lot about him. But I knew one thing, he made me come out of my comfort zone. I never had the courage in my entire life to do what I did just now. All I knew was that at that moment, I needed him, and it felt like he needed me too. I just wish I knew what all of this meant. My palms were sweaty, and I opened my mouth to speak but was cut short by the plane hitting the tarmac. Just like that we had landed, and my chance was gone.

We grabbed our things and deboarded the plane.

It was still early afternoon, so we headed back into the office.

I was fidgeting with my hands while I sat next to him in the car. I really wanted clarification as to what our relationship was. But my voice failed me once again. We arrived at the office and my chance to talk to him privately had passed again.
