Chapter 9

You will hire her?

Esther point of view

"Well, I think it is best you decide and you decide fast" Lisa said as i was having a hard time trying to decide, i mean how would i reach him anyway. Maybe i should sleep tonight off and by tomorrow morning, i find a way to reach him at least or something but then i can easily just move somewhere else. Lisa say that i was lost in thoughts.

"Hey, don't tell me you are thinking of how to run away, hello! you are not okay? we are in this together so know that, come tomorrow we will find a solution" Lisa said comforting her friend.

"you are right, you are right" I said as i hold on my pillow.

"Hey babe, i am home already, i am sorry i didn't call you, Esther cooked my favorite you know, she cooked potatoes and chicken, the aroma filled the hallway"

"Yeah we talked about how she is and how she is holding up" I heard her talking to her boyfriend.,

I stood up and left for my room.

Alex point of view

I did a little driving, I didn't speed tho I was just moving as I wanted to, I got flashbacks of what I had said to Esther and I wanted to apologize, I really wanted to I know I said a lot, I know what I did wasn't right and in all honesty the slap was right.

Office scene

I walked into the office and i slammed the door. I sat down, i exhaled. I went through my files and i was thinking about Esther, Just then Louis came in with popcorn in his hands, it seemed like he went home to change his outfit because he certainly wasn't dressed like a rainbow puked all over him, he looks like a circus, sometimes Louis can be like a child and most times without reason. I saw him and i shook my head without pause. When he is in his "crazy phase" i don't even bother but then i am in for a crazy ride, i tell you

"So, did you use your charms to win her heart?" Louis asked me but i really wasn't in the mood to answer the question, i made a bigger mess than mom and well I honestly have no clue as to how I would fix this.

"I made a bigger mess out of it and it will take a whole lot to fix this" I said to Luois.

"Okay okay, I know you, you probably used your power" He said and he shooked his head as he picked the pop corn and placed them in his mouth.

"You see I always told you to be gentle, let's see how great this damage is, rate it on a scale of one to twenty" Luois said as he walked up to me.

"A twenty five?" I replied him and he had his mouth wide opened.

"What exactly did you do or say?" He asked Me.

"I blamed her and justified mum's actions, I got slapped tho I deserved it" I said to him and Luois could not believe his ears.

"Wait a minute, hold on one second I thought your sole aim of going to meet the lady was to make the issue die down and not make her make an issue or call the press and all or something or at least apologise, but instead you went there to make matters worse? Oh wow wow" He said as he smiled and clapped his hands in laughter and excitement.

"And on top of it, you got slapped?" He laughed again.

"Why are you laughing?" I don't think i have ever said it but then, Luois is more of a best friend that an assistant, more like a gossip partner and a team you know he is like a complete package that is, he would have been a complete package if and if he hadn't you know come out, hopefully he becomes straight again.

"Well, you made matters worse and you got slapped, so how do you intend to help matters and change the situation because if you ask me, I think you need to buckle up and apologise for two things now, for what Mrs Bond did and what you did, you jumped from the frypan into the fire" He ended, he was about to pick another pop corn and he realises that he had taken everything, he had ate it all his face when he realises it is top notch.

"You are right anyway, what I think is that making her my secretary would be a nice thing, I mean since my secretary her is almost due and she wants to leave and retire completely, while Esther on the other hand came here in search of a Job hiring her seems like the best thing to do if you ask me" I said to Luois and he nodded in agreement and just then a familiar voice was heard.

"You want to hire her?" She asked.

It was mum, she has been eavesdropping she is fond and I mean very fond of it, she does it to mostly me at times and I understand her but sometimes mum can be just a little bit over the top.

"You want to hire her?" She asks as she walked in.

"Mum, how did you know I was here?" I asked her.

"Well, I told your secretary to inform me as soon as you step into this place." She said strictly.

"So what do you mean by you will hire her? I thought you went there to prevent and make sure she doesn't press any changes so what is this that I am hearing it sounds so much like gibberish in my ears" Mum said as she sat down and looked me straight in the eyes, Luois and his outfit just stared at what would happen now.
