Chapter 6 She Has No Relatives

As Paige struggled to catch her breath, she reached over to the side of her body, pulled out a bag, and lit a cigarette. "What are you going to do with Rebecca? Aside from failing to kill her, you haven't even filed for a divorce. We have no idea where she may be hiding at this moment. If we don't deal with her soon, she's eventually going to be big trouble for us."

"Relax. I have dispatched someone to search for her. She is still in the city. It is impossible for her to flee," Yosef said confidently.

Going to her mother would probably be her best move. You can talk to her stepfather. "You really have no sense of fear." After picking up his trousers, Yosef casually wore them. He took a few steps toward Rebecca before asking, "Do you believe that I don't dare to kill you?"

"You certainly have the guts to try it. After all, you tried to kill me the night before, didn't you? Yosef, you are a killer. I will sue you for attempted murder!"

"What? Sue me?" Yosef chuckled heartily as if he had just been told a hilarious joke. "Attempted murder? Have you gathered any proof thus far? I have deleted the surveillance footage that was being recorded along the route. Please provide your proof if you want to file a lawsuit against me. Unless you provide conclusive evidence, that's merely slander. I can counter-sue you for slandering me. Let's see who will end up in jail."

"Is that so?" Rebecca clenched her teeth as she flipped around and retrieved her phone from the shelf in the entryway. "When I arrived earlier, I hid my phone in this spot. I've recorded everything you have said and done. Is this enough evidence to send you to jail?"

Rebecca played the recording. Immediately, Paige's moan of pleasure echoed from the phone. It seemed that Rebecca wasn't bluffing.

Paige and Yosef both exhibited startlingly different looks in an instant. "Rebecca, what do you want?"

"Go to the court with me right now and file for our divorce. I have no desire for anything that you have. And you have no right to crave a single cent from Dixon Group." Rebecca didn't beat around the bush. "In the event that you do not comply, I will upload this recording online and ensure that the whole internet sees it. By the way, I will also give this recording to all of the partners of the Swain family and the Potter family."

She struck just on the tender spot.

Even if Rebecca were to say that she planned to contact the police, Yosef would not let his fear get the better of him. After all, she was safe and sound. As such, the recording could not serve as evidence in any legal proceeding.
