Chapter 4: She Is Lucky

*A Few Days Later.*

Sophia has been crying because she kept thinking about Ralph kissing and making love to another girl. It was heartbreaking to her.

She didn't make any move to get daily job as usual, she was just sitting in her living room watching TV and keeping her mouth busy with popcorn.

"I love you Eun."

"I love you too Lee." She watched the characters on TV and when they kissed she became more sad and wished she was the one.

"Aww, this is so romantic."

She was glued to the TV when it got to the romance part and didn't take note when Angela came in.

"Don't tell me you are not yet over that guy called Ralph?"

She did the puppy face for Angela. Angela got frustrated as she threw her handbag to the couch with both hands on her hip then lifted her right finger to point at the mess in the house.

"look, your house is a mess right now, and stop watching Korean series that's about love, it will break your heart the more, this is not healthy for ."

Angela turned on the TV and Sophia hugged Angela saying, "I still love him you know, he is so good with everything apart from his ugly side."

"Open your eyes, Sophia, if that guy truly loves you as you claimed, why hasn't he called you ever since the other day to apologise to you or even come to look for you?"

She caresses her hair,"Ralph is a love fraudster, he was just after your money and your body, I don't think he has ever thought about you once or even have plans for you."

She brought Sophia to sit with her on the couch.

"What do I do? I don't think I can start another relationship again, how will I know the serious guys out there hum? Won't I keep experiencing heartbreak always? I just want to be indoors."

"You can't live your life eating popcorn."

"Care for some."she passed it to her, forcing a smile.

"you are losing your beauty for real."

She jumped up saying, "Are you serious right now? My jewel face is losing its beauty?"

She rushed to the mirror in her room to see for herself, she yelled and Angela rushed to her,she was so worried.

"What is it? Did you get hurt?"

"I got a pimple on my precious face." She cried out like a baby.

Angela looks disappointed in her, "Then get rid of it."

"It's going to hurt, I hate this, my face can't be ruined, how will I finally get a billionaire to fall for me."

"That's the spirit I need from you girl, if you have a billionaire in your life, you will forget about that stupid Ralph, but you know no billionaire will see you this way and like you?"

"You know what girlfriend, thank you so much, right about now, Sophia with the perfect body curves is coming back to live hot hot," she whined her waist moving her fingers in the air.

"Now first thing first, we need to clean up your room, it stinks you know."

"Why don't you help me just clean the toilet?"

"Never, you ruin the toilet so you clean it, I will just do the rest."

"I hate her you know."

"I can hear you, love."

They finished cleaning the apartment, and in the last touch, she made use of the home freshener to have a good smell.

"Now I can call this a home." Sophia made a statement.

"Now the next step is for you to get something doing, so you won't be indoors all day, you go out and come in."

Angela said, having a beautiful smile.

"But I wanted to try this model stuff, who knows I might get lucky this time around."

"Can you stop doing that, you know you just got a pretty look but it never brought luck, instead it attracts guys like Ralph."

"Hey you, do you want a death wish? I am not giving up yet."

"Okay fine, take out your time okay? Go out, feature in so many model auditions, okay, but at least do a part-time job to get your money you can use to feed and your clothing too, you know how much you love buying clothes and I will never lend you a dime." She made it clear in her statement.

"I am sure you are just joking because I am about to ask you for money, please help me with just 100 dollars and I promise to pay back once I get a good job or make a billionaire fall for me."

"I can see you are sick and you need to visit the hospital."

"Please Angela, you know my mom won't lend me a dime, you are the only hope I have, please please."

"Stop giving me that face, I can only give you 50 dollars and don't bother to pay back, because you don't always pay, at least I know you won't be spending money on some stupid boy."

"Thank you, I love you so much, girlfriend, please if there is any delivery job for me to a billionaire home, let me know."

"I will, take care, love and get a life now, delete Ralph from your memories." Angela resounded the warning to her before exiting the building.

Sophia decided to shower again and select a good outfit to match the occasion. Immediately she got a notification on her phone.

She read the content and it stated, "beauty home will be needing a model for her recruit."

She jumped for joy,"finally, I will be on the cover of the beauty home after getting a free makeup."

She left the house boarding a taxi to the beauty home, she was ushered in and showed where to sit.

"Now we have models available, I will be using this lady face so watch me." She almost fainted knowing the CEO herself will be doing her makeup.

A few moment later, the CEO was done.

"Vular I look so amazing. If I have enough money, I will definitely come here to get my makeup done. I always love to look stunning."

She was so excited about the transformation on her face, it made her look prettier.

Sophia got paid 80 dollars and she made use of the money to get foodstuff and provision.

She got home taking corn flakes and admiring the pictures she snapped earlier, more than 100 images and she uploaded some online but she hated the fact she has never had a thousand like on her photos.

"Am I not pretty enough?"

She didn't know when she fell asleep on the couch after washing the make-up off her face. Angela's call woke her up as she struggled to answer the call.

Angela screamed and she had to move the phone far from her ear and then placed it back to say," Why are you shouting? Do you have a mental disorder?"

"I am excited, I got a delivery work for you and they need pretty faces like yours to do that, guess what when I showed them your picture, you are to deliver their package to McCain,"

Sophia shouted and jumped for excitement.

"Finally, a big hit."

"You need to start coming now, he doesn't like latecomers."

"I shouldn't have washed this make-up off and I hate leaving without makeup, I can't miss this so I am on my way now."

She wore tight jeans revealing her curvy shape and a simple top, "I can't believe I will be making a delivery to McCain."

Everyone fears and respect the McCain, but no one has ever seen the son, he never goes to the open place, only top persons that work for him has seen him and his maid. The runaway bride never dare mention they have seen him.

The few persons that had the opportunity to see him, are highly connected and rich or if he goes to public places without his hood.

But most of the public places he has gone to are expensive and just the rich can afford to go in

Some heard the rumor that his friend Lewis does all other activities for him and tagged them as gays.

"Rumor has it that anytime he fixes a wedding, the bride always runs away. I don't care, this is a lifetime opportunity for me." Sophia concluded getting ready to leave her place.

"I wish I knew the lane he jogs every morning,I would have been going there often." She chuckled.
